Rating: Summary: Skips while jogging Review: Although this Discman purports to be "skip free", it did indeed skip quite a bit on me while it was sitting on the console of the treadmill I was jogging on. If you're just walking, it's fine, and the sound quality is very good.
Rating: Summary: NOT WORTH THE PRICE Review: I currently own this CD player. It is a good player and works ok, but there are better ones out there for the price of this one. (...) If you really like this player you would not be let down. The skip protection is fair but don't even try to run or walk with it. This player also has a good sound quality and base. However, the headphones that Sony gives you STINK. They are horrible quality and will brake. Only recently however I have noticed that with this player when I play a song it shuts off in the middle!!! Keep in mind though that I got it 3 years ago. Overall ok player.

Rating: Summary: Best Diskman in the world Review: I think this is the best portable CD player there is just you have to be "nice" to it I like the ESP2 on it and the remote. Its the best Diskman I have, its the only one anyways I love it if your looking for a CD player this is the one you need. this may sound funny but im only 14™
Rating: Summary: Excellent but not perfect Review: The groove headphones are so effective your don't even need to us the groove sound preset, the mega bass preset actually sounds better(groove actually supplies too much bass! ).Sound quality is better than on any other portable cd player I have ever heard. ESP2 is a huge improvement on esp1. But like its explained in the manual, skipping does occur when running or doing any other mad activity. So it dosn't skip when you walk? Actualy it does but very rarely.
Rating: Summary: Good-but unreliable Review: This discman is compact, affordable, has nice features, saves batteries but is iffy on the quality my units top broke off after only 1 month! and thats with good care my cheaper lennox and sanyo players lasted from '94 lasted longer my advice dont write off but consider the quality before you buy - end
Rating: Summary: Good overall player Review: This is a good overall portable cd-player. However I don't think that it is quite worth [the price]. I have gotten a good two years out of my cd-player but it has been shuting off in the middle of a song for no apparent reason.

Rating: Summary: Mine lasted about 5 years Review: Well, I have this player but it just broke on me (the pieces that hold the cd have been going one by one, and finally the cd cannot be held level on each side as it spins)...so now I need to get a new one and have no idea what to get (don't want to spend too much either, but I really would miss having a rechargable player.) Overall I rate this cd player a 5, because while it skipped at times (like during walking/jogging), it lasted me about 5 years so was worth the money in my opinion.
