Summary: no skips!
Review: i got this cd player to use while walking so i wanted something lightweight that wouldn't skip. it's terrific sound that doesn't skip. the hold-resume-off feature is a little confusing; i need to reread the instructions. the headphones are huge--they won't fit in my carrier, but they're good, and i use them at the health club for the tv sound as well. all in all, i'm very pleased!

Summary: Nice for a while
Review: I have owned this product for about eight months. It worked fine up until a week ago when it all of sudden stopped working. It was work fine but when I turned it back on it was making cracking sounds and then nothing. The cd kept spining but there was no sound.

Summary: Unbelievable value
Review: I was pleasantly surprised when my cd player arrived, it looked better than the pictures. The sound is amazing, I use it on the go and in my car. It really doesn't skip. At that price I couldn't resist. I got much more than my money's worth.

Summary: Awesome Player
Review: It's about time someone made a player that can use CD-RW's. I change music constantly and prefer CD-RW's because I can erase them and record new music.

Have to many CD's from downloading MP3's online just to make CD-R's was getting ridiculous.

Though the player isn't really stylish, it get the job done. All the features are great. 20hr battery life, 12sec anti-skip protection and much much more. The price make this the biggest steal of the year.

It's a must have portable! Get it now! I already have mind!

Summary: Much better than I expected for under $50
Review: The quality was excellent, and the headphones were better than I expected, although, they could be better. Never skips, dropped it from 3 ft. to a carpet, and there wasn't a skip. Only problem, there's no light for the display. So, when it's pitch dark, you have to know where the buttons are. Volume level is great, and there's lots of modes.

If you're looking at this model's big brother, with the 40-something second ESP3. I know what your thinking:

What about that one?

Well, I believe this model is already excellent and don't see how it could be better, by a lot..

Of course, I don't see how Sony wants to sell $150+ cd players for G-Protection. You could buy a MD PLayer for that money, and it could play MP3 and more...

Anyway, this is definitely a great buy, and I am very pleased. I'll buy more electronics from PHILIPS now.

Summary: Philips AZ900117 CD Player
Review: This is the greatest CD player I've ever bought. It never skips... I accidentally dropped it from 5 ft. to carpet and nothing happened! Headphones and adapter are a great advantage when they come with the CD player and you don't have to buy seperate. Battery life is outstanding! I love this CD player and would definately recommend it to anyone!!! A+++

Summary: Excelent CD Player
Review: With the help of Amazon sales rep I purchased this unit as 2 prevoius Casio's would not play CD-R's, or at least only about 50%. This unit is not phased by any CD-R. Has digital sound location and a real nice feel to it. Based on this unit would highly recommend Philip's CD players.
