Rating: Summary: Got it set up and playing in less than a minute! Review: Of course, it did take a while to get it out of the vacuum tight packaging... But loved it once I got it installed in my car! It is a bit confusing to turn the little bugger on but the on-line review on Amazon.com helped A LOT! The music hardly skips and buttons are easy to deal with even when I was driving. Definitely worth getting, the best portable cd player I've owned so far... Love it for the price!
Rating: Summary: Great Player Review: The Aiwa CD player is one of the best that I have purchased. I have had it for almost 4 years now. It plays CD-R's as well as regular CDs. The sound quality is good, and for those of you that like volume and bass this model will satisfy. I've dropped it, bounced it and it's incredibly hard to get it to skip. (Though it did skip when it hit the floor from the treadmill.) The silver body does get scratched up pretty easily, though that really only messes up the aesthetics and not the sound quality. THe car kit is complete and easy to use. The backlight display is very helpful in the dark.

Rating: Summary: GREAT SOUND...GREAT BUY!!! Review: The Aiwa is a great portable CD! The sound (especially with the extra bass kicked in) really jams. I'm constantly trying to avoid potholes and bumps where I live (and am usually unsuccessful) but have yet to have heard a CD skip once! The price was as good as I could find anywhere on the net. I too enjoy the resume feature and the great background lighting. Like others, had some initial confusion getting it cranked up the first time, however, once you get going you never look back. My bottom line: one heck'uva portable CD!
Rating: Summary: The Best of the Best Review: The Aiwa potable CD player is great! It comes with a car kit which means, it comes with many adaptors, such as: an adaptor for the car outlet, for a regular outlet, for the casstte player in your car, or you could just use two AA batteries! This is a great deal and I highly recomend it! I really like!
Rating: Summary: Great system Review: The only drawback in this feature loaded system is that the documentation is very poor. Typical for consumer electronice, it tells you how to push the buttons, but not why you might want to push them in the first place!!!!
Rating: Summary: Not reliable. Lasted only three hours . Review: The short time I used it was great sounding like all the AIWAs. Finding a service center was time consuming. Taking it there was time consuming and inconvient. No definite date on when it will be returned. It should have been replaced as it was brand new from Amazon. It seems like a good player but take your chances.
Rating: Summary: A Brazilian portables enthusiast Review: The XP-779 has a wide variety of power and output adapters which I personally find very suitable for running on the beach. Besides that, I never heard such a high-quality sound in portable. It's anti-shock resistence is really amazing. Once it fell off while I was working on a ladder and it just got a few scratches !
Rating: Summary: You can not go wrong with a Xp779! Review: The XP779 Portable Cd Player is the best you can bye. It's anti-skip feature works very well. I have not had it skip once. I love it's rechargeable feature. The backlite on the LCD display also rocks the house. It is the best Portable Cd Player I have ever owned. Don't even mess with sony and there ESP2 crud. AIWA!
