Summary: The Sony name and the toilet flush are now synonomous!
Review: I always thought Sony was a superior electronics company. That may have been true, but it's certainly not now. The last cd player I had was a Sony Sport, and it worked perfectly. The problem was that it was never designed to read cd-r discs. I purchased this new groovy looking cd player, which was supposed to be the newest thing, and it worked worse than my two year old player. It didn't read discs very well, couldn't read a cd-r disc, and barely had esp function. I returned mine and got a panasonic, works great. I'll have to do better research in the future, or buy from a store with a return period. I did that with the last sony television I bought and am I glad I did it.

Summary: Very Hard to Skip and Great Quality Sound
Review: I bought this Sony Discman a couple months ago at the local Future Shop with the Car Adapter Kit. It works excellent, It has fallen on the car floor and has been handled extensively while in the car and it always keeps going. The one and only drawback is that the lid is made fairly poorly and I can see it messing up sometime in the future.

Summary: I say it is......GREAT!
Review: Go out and get this one! I have had 2 CD discmans in the last 5 months and this was my third and last try. And I love it! I recommend it to anyone!

Summary: a resonable buy
Review: This cd player has been the best one I've owned so far. The three levels of bass boost are great! The ESP is somewhat lacking. The cd player will skip sometimes when your not even moving it.

Summary: Great product! Sony is the best!
Review: It would take a rock slide to make this thing skip. It's really steady no matter what you're doing. The resume play is a really nice feature too. It keeps you from having to hit pause all the time and listen to it beep at you. Classy looking too!

Summary: Very good, very affordable!
Review: This player has the best ESP (electronic skip protection) there is in an affordable portable CD Player. Can't run real hard with it, but you can ride the bus around town with it, which is more than you can say about lesser models.

Summary: A big Sony disappointment
Review: I'll sum it up like this - ESP never worked right since the day I got mine.

Summary: Good sound but something wrong with it.
Review: I bought mine in the wall-mart for $79.Look,sound, ESP "worked" but only on a half it suppose to be.Sometimes it skips when you walk or even sit.I allways thought that sony make the bast things.Maybe now I would by Ponasonic or Aiwa

Summary: great
Review: I have this Disk Player that I ordered last month. It works great! Anti spik works, great volume, and although it doesnt recharge batteries it holds the charge quite a while!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Far better for car playing than anything before
Review: Folks, this is really a good one. I had to replace my old Discman (now-5-year-old), which happened to be also a Sony. This new one boasts ESP2, which is definitely more enjoyable than previous version aiming to prevent the effects of skipping. If you need something for your car (and you do not want to keep in the vehicle while it's parked): go for it.
