Rating: Summary: great product for the price Review: i really like the philips cd player. the battery life is great, the sound is pretty good and the volume isn't very loud (i listen to it on the bus where the outside noiseis incredibly loud but it should be good for most people), when on the max bass and volume there is some distortion. the headphones are ok but you should buy a different pair (possibly the sony street style headphones). when listening you can sometimes hear the head for the laaser moving when you switch tracks but it isn't too bad. the design is awesome and its a really good deal if you are looking for a portable cd player and have a small budget.
Rating: Summary: Good but bad. Review: It's too bad the design was horribly changed... the one Philips made right before this one actually looked good... (AZ7883) however, they work very well, so if you don't care about the looks, you should consider this.
Rating: Summary: Philips makes the best-sounding CD players Review: There are many reasons to buy a Philips CD player, but the most important one is that they sound much better than every other brand I've tried. You may read or hear that all CD players sound the same, but it isn't true at all. There are significant, audible, differences between different brands and models and Philips CD players just sound better. If you're doubtful, just play one of your favorite CDs in a Philips and in any other brand; you'll hear the difference. Some people might complain that the Philips player will not play as loudly as some other brands. They play loudly enough to hear clearly, but not loudly enough to damage your hearing, which may be the idea behind limiting how loudly they play. The headphones which come with the player are OK, but if you replace them with a pair of Sennheiser headphones, you'll really hear how good these CD players are!
Rating: Summary: great cd player for the money! Review: this cd players is the best i have ever had. its looks good. nice blue color. the esp works great from what i have experienced. also the bass is great with two different levels. the only drawback of this cd player is the included headphones. invest some money in some good headphones and it sounds great! if you have the money and are looking fo a cd player buy this one. believe me you will love it period.
Rating: Summary: Clear sound, looks awesome, and the skip protection is great Review: This is a great CD player. The sound is so clear and sounds awesome. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to make this baby skip! You look good carrying this thing too! The bass boost is nice also. Comfortable headphones with nice sound too. I definately recommend you buy this player. Its a great price to top it all off! GET IT!
Rating: Summary: Good buy Review: This is an excellent portable cd player. It is small and compact good for traveling around with in your pocket. Nice translucent color. With the ESP on it takes alot of knocking around to get this player to skip. The only reason why i did not give this player 5 stars is because of the volume it does not play very loud. I feel PHILIPS made it like this spefically because of loud music contributing to hearing problems (bla bla bla). You should really buy it and try some new headphones with it.
Rating: Summary: The Best! Review: This is the best CD Player I have ever owned. It has sound better than any of the other CD Players out there. They might sound similar but once you put in some songs with deep bass you will tell a difference. I doesn't go that loud with the headphones included but you can get some other ones. It also has "resume" so that you start off exactly where you left off. Plus, Philips is a quality name brand so you will be using this for awhile. My friend has one and hers has been dropped off her upstairs deck into the bushes! It still works perfect. I highly reccommend this one.
Rating: Summary: SCRATCHES your CDs Review: This player has excellent bass and sound quality, won't skip and will run on batteries reasonably long; which is a shame because it just might scratch your CDs. After owning it for 6 months, the player started abruptly stopping (and shutting down) in the middle of tracks. The lens also began to make circular scratches on the CDs it played - very irritating indeed (this is usually the sign of a very cheaply make CD player). I never rocked it around or dropped it, or did anything that would cause this - it just started happening on its own. Now I have to replace it AND one of the music CDs that got quite a bit of playtime, and you can bet I'll not go with Philips again.
Rating: Summary: cool player! Review: This player is one good one. The sound is OK not as good as my old Sony D-141. The bass could have more "umph" in it. It sounds dull with it off. The shock protection is good and I always leave it on to save the batteries. The resume function is handy when you need to stop it and don't want to. There is only one magor problems with it. The player beeps every time you press a button which is kinda loud. I do not regret buying this player. It was worth saving up for.
Rating: Summary: Great AND easy to use.... Review: This thing is G-R-E-A-T! It works perfect. The headphones are sooooo comfortable. AND the sound comes out of both ear things instead of the ones that only come out one. When i got this for my birthday i was just blown away with how nice and simple it looked. you can program the songs on a cd in the order you want them to be in, you can lock all the buttons, and the shock resistiance is great, super! If you want a good CD player this was made for you!
