Rating: Summary: Best CD Player I've Ever Owned Review: Easily. Nice, compact shape, with no stupid jog stick or whatever. Easy to handle buttons. And the people complaining must've bought a different CD player-this one plays all CD-Rs and all scratched CD's I own. I can drop it (from a sensible height on a soft surface) and it won't quit playing. It slides around everywhere in the car and keeps playing. The Street Style headphones are the greatest invention in portable music history. It'll take awhile to get used to them, but it's totally worth it. The sound quality is phenomenal, it's like having a huge boombox piping through both ears. Put the bass at it's highest level and you're in audio bliss. You'll never go back to regular, cracky headphones with their high treble, terrible echo, and noise-reducing form. These are amazing, simply. And the batteries last forever. I play my player with full bass and leave the hold on whenever I'm in the middle of something all the time, and the batteries lasted-I am not kidding-for 3+ months. I've had players that die within 2 weeks. It's cheap, it's durable, and it does everything a CD player is supposed to, and most importantly it's not ugly. Buy it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I listen to the CD player every single day for probably 30 minutes or so, I'm not sure...but the battery life is EXCELLENT. I bought the thing in November and it just ran out of batteries today (Jan. 14). They may just be good batteries, but wow. And the volume and bass are just right, barely any skipping, pretty good headphones, lightweight...great. Someone else said there's sometimes sticking of the open button and I agree, but it's only happened a few times. I REALLY recommend buying this CD player.
Rating: Summary: A nice, simple CD player for an excellent price. Review: I purchased this CD player after my previous Sony Discman player (which I'd had for five or six years) finally gave up the ghost. I returned to the brand be cause my old player had served me so faithfully. I was pleased to find that this model has great sound quality and the same basic features my old player had, making it very easy to use. It also has GREAT battery life! Listening to between one and four CDs per day with this player, one set of batteries lasts me about a month! Much better than my old player! I was also pleased to find that this model will play slightly scratched CDs that my old player wouldn't, so it was a relief to know that I won't have to go out and buy new copies of those particular discs. There are a few drawbacks to this model, however. First and foremost, the "street style" headphones are torture devices - very uncomfortable. I bought myself a separate pair of "normal" Sony headphones to use with this player instead. Secondly, twice since I've had this player (I bought it shortly after Christmas of 2003) it has stopped in the middle of a CD for no apparent reason. This worries me a little, but except for these two instances the playback has always feen fine. Another reviewer mentioned problems playing CD-R and CD-RW discs - I myself have not yet tried this out with this model, so I can't vouch for whether it's a problem with the model as a whole, that reviewer's particular player, or something wrong with the CD itself. On the whole, though, if you're looking for an affordable, simple portable CD player with basic features, this is probably a good choice for you.
Rating: Summary: Frustrating.. Review: I purchased this Walkman after my previous Sony Discman plunged to its death on one fateful night in December. OK, well, I actually dropped it-- but it was 3+ years old and had sustained many drops before. It was time for it to go, I suppose. Anyway, it was two days before Christmas and there wasn't much of a choice on store shelves, so I picked this up. I was thinking hey, it'll probably be a good little CD player, having owned two previous Sony ones. And I was wrong. The problem with this player is the fact that it brags on the package "CD-R/CD-RW playback!", when in reality, it skips with nearly every brand of CD I threw at it, and no matter what type of software/computer burned the disc. It'll play the first few tracks fine, sometimes (albeit, rarely) even the whole CD.. but generally it starts skipping midway through the CD. It was a disappointment, because my old one played CD-R's perfectly, despite its age. It's a shame, because for the money it would have been decent. It has nice sound and some nice features-- but if you like to listen to your CD-Rs, this is not the most practical choice. In the end, I returned it and went for the Sony D-NE509 ATRAC3plus player. More expensive, but plays MUCH better.

Rating: Summary: PRETTY GOOD! Review: This is a pretty good cd player,it has every thing I wont in a portable cd player. The sound is superb, the bass is just right, the vol. is just high enough, but i noticed that sometimes the button will stick.I had to buy another set of sony headphones, because the wire came loose. But my new ones sound just the same, they are just have a different look and are alot lighter. If you need a cd player I reccomend this second to anyone.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful unit-worth the money! Review: This is an attractive and superior quality cd player for the price. I have the newer version (model EJ-D361) which is the same as this one I see no difference. I am quite pleased with the performance of this unit thus far. It plays very clearly, the bass output is superb, it allows for high volume and the battery life is incredible. Since I purchased the unit 3 weeks ago I have not changed the battery and I use the cd player daily. The only flaw is the anti-skip protection. It has skipped upon numerous occasions when walking briskly however, I am still trying to decipher whether there is real flaw because it could be a wiring problem with my set of headphones. Other than that this is a great unit for daily usage. The headphones are okay but quite big considering there are other smaller more practical ones on the market. If you are looking for a slim, light, inexpensive unit with great sound this SONY unit will more than suffice.
