Summary: NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
Review: This cd player is the worstest I have ever seen. I have one and it can break easily when it is dropped 2 to 3 feet to the ground. It skips a lot when I jog and It does unsuspected things sometimes. It is only good for nothing but only using it at home on a desk. It only has 40 sec. of skip free protection. It will not last long, but You can buy it if your only going to use it at home on a table or something that doesn't shake too much. You many spend 5 more bucks just to get a better cd player. I suggest not to buy it.

Summary: Well made product
Review: This is a really common sense product that goes for a long time on batteries. It plays really well. Anyone who drops any CD player and then complains it is not durable is crazy. NO CD player can be dropped from 2-3 feet on to a hard surface and not get damaged. Most cassette walkmans can't take it either. I'm really surprised that the no skip works as well as it does, given the nature of how CD players work. Pretty neat. This the third National Panasonic CD I have owned and they all still work after these years.

Summary: Not worth it
Review: This isn't a bad product, but it doesn't do as advertised. First off, it skips when jogging; not terribly but enough to be frustrating.
Second, it's got this weird little "remote" control connected to the earphones. It's heavy and weird. And you can't disconnect it and just plug into headphones into the player because then the cord is too short.
Also, sometimes the player just stops for no apparent reason. But it'll start you at the same song that you left off from. But when you stop for real, then turn it on again, it will start you at the last song you stopped at. Very odd.
There are other small annoyances as well. Overall, it'll be fine if you just want to hook it up and listen at your desk. But you could find a cheaper one for that. For an active user, it doesn't stand up to the riggors. Spend a few more bucks and get a quality product.

Oh, and the headphones [are bad] too.

Summary: Awesome
Review: This Panasonic SL-SX280 is an awesome CD player. The anti-skip system rocks. The bass on this thing is so deep it sounds like you are listening to a big three piece stereo. It lasts realy long on just 2 AA batteries.
