Rating: Summary: this sucks Review: BEWARE! this thing is not worth the money! it breaks easily. im on amazon looking for a new cd player because this stupid piece of crap broke. for 50 bucks you can find a much better cd player that is more reliable and has better features.
Rating: Summary: Nothing's perfect, but this is pretty good... Review: Good: Terrific sound. Very nice Bass Boost. I've dropped this thing at least 10 times and it always runs like new. Easy to pop up the CD at the push of a button. Not so good: One of the buttons that they have put on this player does not have a function. The head phones are pretty good, but they are slightly large. It doesn't really affect the music...it just makes your head look like a big ball. Instead of these, I just got some Sony headphones, and they're really good. If you want a very simple but tough CD player that is easy to use, just get this one. It works great with some computer speakers, too, if you want to play it 'outside of your head.' Have fun!!!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: i find this product to be pretty good, except that as stated before by others, it does seem to skip. also, most of the time i have the have the volume on at 25 (which is max) and i usually still can't hear my music all that well. other than that, it is a pretty good cd player. when you in the middle of a cd and put it back in it will start where you left off, and i especially enjoy that.
Rating: Summary: durable player Review: i got this player for christmas 3 years ago since then i have dropped it many times it still works great never skipped on me good sound but now i have a new cd palyer the irock bling it is a little more bulkier than this but works good this is a good player
Rating: Summary: durable player Review: I'm not sure why people are giving this player the shaft. I've had this CD player for 3 years and it's played perfectly. I've dropped it several times on hard surfaces and it stills play perfectly. The headphones it comes with give great sound quality but on the other hand, are somewhat fragile. After 3 years of lugging it in my pocket, backpack, etc, they have started to fall apart so I recently spent $6 to buy sum new Sony ones. No big deal. Also this player DOES NOT support MP3 cds but will play regular audio cds and audio cds on CD-R/RW like a charm. A pair of AA batteries gives me about 30-35 hours of playback! It conserves energy very nicely. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new CD player.
Rating: Summary: not a durrable cd player Review: I've had this cd player for 2 years now and the price was much higher then. I believe I got my money's worth for the time I've had it. I don't jog or do any activities with it that would use the 40 second shock, so I don't know anything about problems with that. The battery life isn't very good with it being at 25-hours. I accidently dropped it and it will no longer work anymore. I'm going to switch to Sony, which has a great reputation of being durrable.
Rating: Summary: Eh well...... Review: Ok, it's Christmas 2001 and all I want is this CD player. I got it opened it up, it was easy to use. It was a dream. I was so satisfied I went straight to epinions and wrote a great review. Now, I'm not so satisfied. About 2 months ago (it's late december right now) my cd player had started this weird cycle of not playing at all. I am serious I would throw store bought cds into thi thing and it would come back with "no cd" and all the time it happened I just was thinking wow it's ok remember this is a great cd player. It's been doing this over and over, also since this problem started my battery life has dropped from 15-20 hours to about 3-6. I don't know if I'm old fashioned or what but before this new thing I had an Aiwa from abotu 6 years ago, sure it's only a 2 hour battery life but it didn't skip on me once. Maybe that's how the market runs now but I was looking for something I could use for a couple of years you know? Well I've already placed my order of the IRiver America SlimX 350, possibly the greatest cd/mp3 player ever and I have heard all kinds of things about it, and I can't be happier. I do understand if your looking for something inexpensive with a good setup this is definatly the player. This thing is soooo easy to use, well, once you understand the buttons, it got me lost for a minute but then I was bumping to my favorite tunes. It will play any cd you throw at it because this thing is a beast (why I got it). It's super small, light and portable, and unless you bounce like a ball when you jog or you hold it in your arms and swing them out it won't skip much. The sound is by far the crispest thing I've seen out of Panasonic in years, I just wish it would have lasted a bit longer so I could enjoy the fun. Overall a good product, I hope you purchase this thing and write a review about it.

Rating: Summary: Great Sound - Reliable Product Review: Rich "full" sound from an easy-to-use player with lots of individual options and settings to maximize your listening pleasure. However, I did have to buy a new headphone set as this one is too large for my head and kept slipping off, even in the totally retracted setting. Also, be careful when holding the player that you don't knock the "open" button and open the cover -- not hard to do on the train.
Rating: Summary: Brian is right... Review: This CD player has so many problems...I thought I was the only one who had a defective one. It skips while jogging so much that I now have it sitting on my desk. It's fine for that but nothing else. Yes, sound quality is good. The batteries do not last 20 hours...I was lucky to six hours before the battery indicator icon came on. It would shut off in the middle of a song for no reason at all. Very annoying buttons that worked sometimes others times not. As I said before, I now have this CD player on my desk in work hooked to the wall outlet so I don't spend a fortune on batteries. Not recommened at all. Panasonic dropped the ball on this big time.
