Rating: Summary: Good for its price Review: At [this price] or less it beats comparable players, such as Sony's. A little bigger than the packaging makes it look, so put the dimensions into consideration. It plays CDs fine and the automatic no-skip feature is nice. If you're a heavy radio listener, the reception could be better on some of the weaker stations, but it's bearable considering the low price. Fortunately for FM it includes city/local modes and mono options, so you get a chance to tinker around to improve reception. The manual says to keep your headphone wire uncoiled for best results, but sometimes wrapping it around the player actually works better. It also plays CD-RWs, which is great for songs you don't want to permanently burn onto a disc.
Rating: Summary: Not that great of a CD player Review: I bought this CD player a little over 2 weeks ago. If you're looking for something durable, this is not the one. I dropped it on a rug of all things and the lid broke. Now I have to open it manually. Also, it now doesn't play some of my CDs. It only plays a couple tracks and it skips horribly. So of you're looking for durability, buy a shockwave. The sound quality is pretty good, although the headphones aren't the greatest. They don't press snugly against your ear which doesn't allow you to hear alot of the bass. I basically use the thing to listen to the radio.
Rating: Summary: Everything You Need Review: I bought this Cd player a little while ago, after my last one bought the dust at the hands (the foot actually) of my father. This is the third Cd player I have owned, and all three have been Panasonic's. That should tell you something. Panasonic has never given me trouble, and I have come to trust the brand completely. This Cd player had everything I was looking for...and then some. I wanted the basics of course: bass boost, random play, repeat 1 song, repeat all, continous play, anti-skip, etc. This has all of that, and all of it is of good quality. Skipping is undetectable, even when running two miles, or jogging. The volume in the headphones (I noticed when reading reviews that some Cd players have bad volume) is normal. Loud enough for those who love to head bang and clear enough for those who love Beethoven. It also has more than the average requirements for Cd players these days. First of all, it is very compact. It can fit easily in a pocket, which is good for taking it running. It also has a radio. This was something I was looking for in a Cd player, because I often go out in the morning and I like to listen to Howard Stern as well as music during his long commercials. The problem is that the Walkman I have cannot get the correct station except for in certain places. This Cd player has a feature that eliminates that problem. It is the City Button. Pressing it gets rid of most static or distortion, making the broadcast clear. This feature alone is worth buying this over any other player. Also the battery life is exceedingly long (around 30 hours as near as I can tell). As for the one review below that claims to have dropped his player on a rug and it broke...all I can say is that yesterday mine fell out of my pocket, not only onto the cement sidewalk, but into an inch deep puddle of water! And the only damage is a scratch along the top. It functions just as it always did, so don't let that reviewer spook you. Now that you have your perfect Cd player, you will need something to listen to on it! I suggest you also buy Source Tags and Codes by ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead as well as Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. Both are the best new hard rock releases out there, and are perfect to listen to while doing exercise. Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: Good product with some annoying problems Review: I bought this last spring and it's starting to die on me. It was a good CD player, with a few annoying features: 1. The radio is difficult to tune, and I found that sometimes when I changed batteries, I would lose my settings. It was irritating having to redo the settings all the time. 2. After about 4 months, it started to skip when held vertically. This is annoying if you are walking around with it. 3. The recall feature is kind of pointless, as it brings you back to the beginning of the track, not to where you left off in the track. 4. It's kind of ugly, and the controls are awkwardly designed.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: i got this cd player @ best buy the other day. it works great. the sound is excellent and the headphones work great. I found this at best buy and only paid [price]. this paid for the cd player and a special offer given only by best buy. for two years if your cd player stops playing, won't work, something breaks, etc., then best buy will either fix it or replace it. this was only [price]. i would reccommened looking in other stores before buying this on the internet. also, the headphones were a little to big for my head, so i tried using headphones off my old cd player. this didn't work. you can tell the difference in the sound, and i would reccommened just keeping the headphones that came with it. p.s. the radio reception is okay. you have to keep the headphone wires un-coiled because the headphones and wires act as an antenna
Rating: Summary: Excellent sound and quality, non-standard power jack Review: I just bought this unit. Its sound quality with the S-XBS (extra base) feature is very good, especially if you use decent headphones. I listened to it playing a music CD while shaking it a lot and jumping up and down: the anti-skip system works flawlessly! FM reception is good. I have not tried to use it with CD-RW. Cons: - A non-standard power connector on the player. I cannot find a power adaptor that has a plug that fits the connector. Even the most versatile and expensive ones I could find at a Radio Shack or Target do not fit. - No clip or belt. Unless you buy some sort of carrying case or hold it in your hand, there is no way to exercise while listening to it.
Rating: Summary: Good CD Player Review: I purchased this CD player 2 months back, and it is in excellent condition. Sound quality is good, Radio works fine. I have got a CD writer in my computer, so I burn songs on a CD and the sound quality is near similar to the orginal CD...I haven't tested the anti-skip, as I don't jog(he heeee). What else? Overall, my two thumbs up for this CD player if you're looking for a combination of CD player and a radio.
Rating: Summary: Great Little CD Player Review: My husband received this player for his birthday, but I've been using it since I use public transportation to get to work and this little cd player perfectly fits in my bag because of its compact size. The sound quality is excellent, especially for the price and the hold feature allows me to travel without worrying that I'll hit a button and skip to the next song or turn the player off (a pain with the last player I used). The player plays CD-R's & CD-RW's, which is great for me since I've created so many mix cds for myself. The battery life is GREAT - better than any other portable cd player I've used. I highly recommend this little player (unless, of course, you want it to play MP3's - since this unit has worked so well, I hope to get the panasonic cd player that also plays MP3's for my birthday).
Rating: Summary: My Best Friend! Review: This CD Player has been everywhere with me, has fallen millions of times, has been hit, and is still playing! Although it seems to skip sometimes, it plays. I also like that it has a built in radio for when your CD get too boring for you. It doesn't go very loud though. I wish it could go 10 notches higher. It also has the convenient HOLD feature which allows you to place your CD player in your pocket or backpack without it turning on and wasting your battery. It is overall a great choice!
