Rating: Summary: Excellent product Review: Sony DE-J915 Portable Discman £130-150 GBPThis top of the line Discman is the slickest device I have purchased in a long time. I was left salivating when I first saw the 915 inside a Sony store in London West End. The price tag drew tears, the sales assistant smirked, I assume he owns one already. I am a minimalist by nature, I scowl at patterned, bright yellow, bulky sports Discmans. The 915 will definitely draw stares on the bus, in the train and the gym. There are a handful of sceptical reviews that emerge from the far corners of the Internet, mainly moans of lack of audio quality from the 915. These are obviously users who still use the headphones that were supplied with the unit. At a retail price of 150 GBP, it's understandable that Sony would throw in a cheapo pair of headphones. I was disappointed with the output from the `in your ear' bud phones that arrived with mine. Unable to handle some of the bass ridden tracks that I threw at it, the headphones literally rattled their way out of my ears. The output in itself is powerful, after hooking the 915 up to a pair of Sony VDR-150`s the output was like butter. Bass addicts, gear up, seriously. One guaranteed feature of the 925 is the jog-proof mechanism. The 915, under my rigorous testing does NOT skip. The control stick acts as a intermediate device between the 915 and the headphones is a luxury. Like a minidisc player, the stick displays the track name and details, providing that you burnt the CD yourself. The volume control is cleverly integrated into the play/rewind/fast forward knob. To Summarise Be a poseur, and get yourself a 915, it feels good, sounds excellent and looks great

Rating: Summary: Worth the Price Review: Sony does it again! The player is elegant and tiny with great sound, particularly the high bass levels with no distortion the highest volume. I use mine on the treadmill and have been unable to make in skip. And best yet, the re-chargeable batteries really do last 57+ hours. Plus, I dropped it on the floor and haven't had any problems. The downside -- no LCD display on the unit itself, only on the remote. If you're not going to use it for exercise, or if you're going to use it in your car, this is a problem. Also, it takes about 4-5 hours for my batteries to re-charge. And finally, it's pricey. If you want the smallest possible CD player, that won't skip and has great sound, this is the one. I'm glad I bought it.
Rating: Summary: CLEAN CUT REVIEW... Review: Sony has once again kick the...out of the competition... this new cd player is not matched by any other from what i have seen... unfortunetly it lacks a few minor things... PROS.. -STYLE... this thing is one hot looking cd player...its a nice mettalic silver with small sony logos.... -EXTREMLY THIN... take a cd case (regular size) and look at it for a while.. the player is ever so slightly thicker and is no where as near as wide as the cd case... ( about 3/4 inch smaller) -AWESOME SOUND... sony, as usually never goes skimpy on the sound, but as usual, gips ya on the...ear buds... Amazons version comes with headphones (from what the pictures say...) but mine came with ear buds... the ear buds are pretty decent, but i went out and got a pair of sony streetstyles and they are also amazing. Decent bass.... with this player the bass is somewhat limited.. but you dont get that awful distortion you get with cheap cd players and...bass boost. The bass maintains its quality at full volume (dont go that high... hurts your ears) WELL WIEGHTED... the player is deciving to people who only see it.. it looks flimsy and easily breakable...but it feels quite solid and isnt extremly light... but dont go and drop it. someone wrote that the player is bad cause he dropped it a few times... cd players and other portable equipment isnt tested to be dropped and treated badly.... BATTERIES.. small, hold 57 hours between em...rechargeable in like 5 odd hours, comes with this neat external power source (its a tube that holds two AA batteries and plugs into the adapter port) G-PROTECTION-- amazing...and it doesnt take a toll on your batteries like the old antiskip technology did. REMOTE... the remote is a good feature..all the controls (i mean all) are there in a fairly small unit.. nice backlite CONS REMOTE... though the remote has cd text reconition capibilities... dont be fooled... you need a mini disk player (theres like only 2-3 that will work) to hookup with the player and transfer the titles from its memory to the cd player.. the cd player will just not recognize the songs as soon as you pop it in....also the remote activates the back lite everytime you touch a control, this means the batteries drain slightly quicker than usual.. HEADPHONES...for the price i paid... i didnt expect to get the ear buds... but there half decent.... NO LCD ON CD PLAYER???... there is not lcd screen on the player... personally i dont care... i know to press forward 4 times to get to my fav song...the canned the lcd screen to make it smaller... which is well worth it... CARRYING CASE...mine came with a silly cloth bag... i dont use it cause by the time you shove all the stuff into the bag its just as big as the regular size cd players! get you mom to stitch you up a nice one with some soft material to keep it scratch free.... BOTTOM LINE... if your looking for a new player.. and have a few extra bucks... this is a great cd player... it never runs low on batteries and comes with rechargeable ones, so there is no extra cost.. and yes.. it does play burnt cds....
Rating: Summary: Beautiful package - terrible sound. Review: The beautiful styling of the new Sony discman really caught my attention and I love the remote with the digital display. Battery life is great and the shock protection is faultless. All of these things do add up, but if it doesn't sound great, then what is the point! I bought this unit to replace my ten year old Sony car discman, but when I listened to them side by side with a nice pair of headphones (I used Grado SR60's), my old unit blows this right out of the water! The new Sony sounds muddy with any of the bass features on; tinny with it off. The highs are almost non-existant and there is no warmth to the sound. If your primary requirement for a portable CD player is sound quality, then this is NOT the one to pick! Now I'm kicking myself for not comparing before I purchased. (P.S. Anyone interested in taking mine off my hands?)

Rating: Summary: the sony DEJ915 Review: the sony model DEJ915 is one of the lastest cd players made by Sony, it was surely worth the money. It will suit all ages because it is user-friendly and the sound quality is "top-notch". I'm sure you will find that the Sony DEJ915 will be worth every penny you pay.
Rating: Summary: Discman on the move... Review: There is hardly anything to complain about for this product. It's slim, beautiful, and the sound quality is excellent. There are a few small gripes about it, but other than those... the discman is definitely worth your money. It's extremely slim so it slides into your pocket very comfortably. The remote helps you keep it in there because you can perform practically any operations from there. The downside of such a slim discman is that it is very fragile. Do not drop! The lid cover isn't very durable and if crushed under pressure, will surely crack. Just handle with care, and the discman should last. The sound quality is also very impressive. It's clear (though I suggest getting new headphone/earphones). There are also many options like mega bass controls and AVL mode. It also allows an output to carry your songs over to other portables like minidiscs. There are a few other features that serve well like progamming tracks, etc. All the features come in handy. The G-Protection is extremely reliable. I have my discman in my pocket all the time and whether I'm walking or running, it never skips. Excellent protection. The battery life is acceptional. The NimH batteries last pretty long, but when it comes time to recharge, it takes a good 4+ hours! That's a pain, but for the hours of battery life you get, it is worth it. I don't think any other discman is better than this one for its price. It's a beautifully designed discman that is very portable because of its size, with excellent options, excellent sound quality, and excellent anti-skip protection. Those looking for these options will not regret this purchase. All SONY needs to do is make it more durable. Don't forget how fragile it is. Be careful, and you'll be happy.
Rating: Summary: real good Review: This cd player is the best I have owned, and i can only point out one con about it. The batterys do not last 57 hours try around 30 but thats not bad sence they are rechargable. *I'm very happy with this product and you can't get better for that price*
Rating: Summary: State of the Art Review: This is one incredible little cd player. The D-EJ915 is housed in a sleek, rugged aluminum case. All of the unit's functions can be accessed via a convenient backlit remote. It offers Sony's new G-Protection anti-skip system (very effective... I have not been able to make the player skip!) Two levels of bass extension. Excellent 23-hour battery life with the internal rechargeable batteries, increases to 57 hours with the included battery pack. The car adapter kit costs extra. One small gripe - there is no way to defeat the auto-resume play feature and start at the beginning of the cd. If you have the money, this is the one to buy!
