Summary: Teh Bes CD Walkman
Review: It's great, It's the best CD Walkman ever made.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Solid product
Review: Like I said, don't let the fact that this is a Sony product cloud your mind, and make you buy this player without thinking twice. That's what I did. Like other reviewers have said, this plays very low with the car adapter, and I had to turn the volume up REALLY HIGH to get anything to come out, which in turn created a big buzzing noise with my speakers (my car is fairly new, and I used a brand new CD, so it is the player). That's my main problem, and there's not much more I can say since I am returning it ASAP. Plus the buttons are thin, therefore harder to press. My score is based mainly on the fact that the car adapter was advertised, and didn't deliver at all.

Summary: My kind of discman!
Review: My sister has this discman and I think it's great!
The headphones are very comfortable and are easy to understand. They were very short when we get them, but someone then told us that you had to connect them to the remote to make it longer.
The sound is loud and clear. The one thing that could be annoying is that every time you press a button, the discman makes a loud beep.
The design is very nice and the buttons are easy to spot (not a discman that you have to look at a manual for to understand).
The one thing that I'm taking a star off for is the radio. The static connection is not very good. It's really hard to understand what's going on. In my opinion, that's it's only flaw.
Also, the batteries need to be put inside the discman, not on the bottom of it. That can get a little irritating.

Aside from those little problems, I really recommend this discman to everyone!

Summary: great sound overall but not in the car...
Review: Sounds great when listening with head phone but when I tried it in my car, it sounded so soft even when I full blasted the volume of the car and the volume of the cd player. It's nice but the volume disappoints me. By the way, my car is brand new so I don't think my speaker is the problem.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: The CD player itself may be good, but the accessories are not. I bought it because it had a car kit. Well, the cassette that goes into the tape deck made a crackling sound so that it sounded like I was listening to a scratchy old record instead of a CD. The instruction sheet actually mentioned that this could happen. If they know about this problem, why haven't they tried to fix it?

It also played very low. I had to turn the volume up all the way just to get it to a decent listening level. And then there is the beeping problem mentioned in another review. It will make a very loud beep every time you change tracks. You can turn it off, but you have to remember to do it every time you plug it in. I can't figure out why they would make it to do that in the first place. And even if there is a good reason, why not make it so you have to do something to turn that on if you want it instead of having to turn if off if you don't - every single time you use it!

Oh, and the headphones it came with didn't fit well either.

All in all, very disappointing. I returned it.

Summary: works very well for a few months
Review: the walkman i received worked magnificently and had a great sound and user interface. then, out of nowhere, it started skipping on brand new cd's. and the skipping is the worst kind-- a half-second fragment of music, 2 seconds of silence, another fragment, 10 seconds of silence, etc. anti-skip protection has no effect. holding the cd player still has no effect.

the worst part of this is that the replacement cost under sony's "limited warranty" is equivalent to the price of a new cd player. i'm going to take that money and invest in a different brand...

Summary: Magnificent!
Review: This CD player is simply magnificent. The headphones hurt but most people don't use the headphones included with their CD player anyways. I suggest buying a Sony MDR-G52LP Headphones and Sony SRS-A27 Portable Speaker System as add-ons. The sound on this CD player is superb and the buttons are easy to find and press. The LCD screen is extremely easy to read and it's compact shape let's it fit into your pocket easily. Also the skip protection and bass rock! The car kit provided is just like any other. I've had no problems with it so far. As an added bonus there's also an AC adapter and remote control for the car included with this set. I'm sure you won't be able to find a CD player at this price with all these accesories better than this one

Summary: Stupid Beeps
Review: This thing is annoying. It beeps with every push of the buttons, and the beep is very loud and overpowering, especially through the car speakers. You can turn the beep off, but it involves holding down a button each time power is applied to the device. This is not practical or convenient to ask people to hold down a button while starting the ignition on their car. Very bad design indeed. I owned mine for 30 minutes before returning it because of this obnoxious feature.

Summary: Low Quality
Review: Yes, for a minute it looks like a good cd player w/mp3 and g-protection. But,

1 it doesn't play the last songs
2 it's sound quality is low
3 the headphones are hard to put on

So, my word is DON'T BUY IT OR IF YOU DID, RETURN IT!
