Rating: Summary: Solid CD Player for the Price Review: For the price, this is one of the better portable CD Players. The player itself is an upgrade from the less fancy player (C3847).It is CD-R/CD-RW, 8 times oversampling, random, repeat, headphones, 6 digit LCD display, 20 tracks with programming, skip, search, all of which is fairly common in players, but not at that price (at least when I have shopped around I have not found these features for less money on a portable player). The player itself is sturdy and has taken some pretty hard bumps without skipping the CD - which was a big problem for portable players when they were first being made. Overall, I have been satisfied with my player. I recommend this product.
Rating: Summary: GPX Products Fail within 6 months Review: I have owned 3 different GPX products some lasted a month but most failed after 6 months. Including the unit they sent me to replace a defective product.
Rating: Summary: Do not buy this product Review: The worst aspect of this cd player is it goes through batteries like fire goes through wood. Sure, it's around 15 dollars, but batteries are the most expensive energy source to come by. The GPX C3972 takes two double A batteries, which don't even last for ten hours on this money burner. Spend your money on a quality cd player - it might cost more, but it'll save you hundreds in the long run. This product is also lousy because it skips a lot. Simply having it in a heavy coat pocket and walking will make a cd skip continually. Do yourself a favor and don't trust this company or any of their products.
