Review: Graphics, very good... maybe not the best on the market, but definitely not the worst. Annoying? You bet. I picked this game up one day looking something new and exciting. I got it home, tore open the paper, popped it into the computer and proceeded to wait forever as the thing loaded it's self into my system. Ok, that's done, time for game play. YAY! Nope, time to read this itty-bitty book that I was given to see it I could glean the smallest bit of information as to how to move my character. Ok, got that figured out. Now how do I pick things up? (In my view game play should not be this hard!) Ok, I found out how to pick things up, great. Now... how do I tell my character to pick something up without running over it six times and looking like a complete goober?Annoying, irritating, and frustrating. I bought this game looking for something fun. All I found was irritation. I really don't like the fact that it's continually dark and the snow, while pretty, does it annoying when trying to find/chase a white dove. Give me a break, I'm supposed to chase around little black eyes and tell where a slight cooing is coming from? You better have the best gaming system ever. For the average gamer, stick to something a little more, umm, user friendly. I hate to say it, but after nine or ten times of being driven from my desk because I was killed five or six minutes into game play, well there's something wrong. Ok, there is a story line to the game, and while good it's rather annoying when you walk into the town and have to wait for each building and each section to load. I'm afraid that there is going to be something lurking around the corner waiting to kill the character. Talking to each of the characters is fun, depending on where you are in the story line, and which line of conversation you pick or choose you learn more. Flirting with the barmaid will have someone yelling at you, telling you "She's a good girl, don't treat her like that." I was disappointed. I wish that there had been just a little more... a little more work, a little more time, and a lot more effort.

Review: I am a fan of the older 2D RPG games and feel the quality/content of a game comes before the look of the game. Before Soulbringer, I was always a little leery about 3D RPG's due to their appeal of leaving a decent storyline and to stress the appearance of their graphics. This game has proven me incorrect! Great storyline, great graphics, great game, bottom-line.

Summary: Nice Atmosphere
Review: I liked this game alot, it reminds me of Drakkan if anyone remembers that game which was not top winner. Theres just something about the atmosphere which is like a Christmas and Halloween night feel that makes the game pleasant even in the middle of a bloodthirsty battle which the game is night all the time. The same experience I got from Drakkan when it turned night time. I do see this game not being a favorite among die hard RPG fans like the control of your character but its basically point and click just alittle time to get used to, not really Rocket Science here and the graphics are alittle fuzzy at times when your searching for items but its just one of those games you can site back and relaxe to while playing. I think its a fun game, good storyline, great atmosphere, alright control play being not the best but certainly not the worst and the graphics aren't top notch but not the worst either. Theres rarely some RPG games that can give a fun relaxed feeling to them without over embelishment of graphics and shear intensity on fighting and hack & slash. I'd also like to suggest Planescape: Torment that also gives an emphasis on fun but I have to say its a much better game than this one and is top notch in my opinion.

Summary: High hopes were dashed
Review: I live for games and this one was disapointing. I acutally returned it. Animations, though impressive, were very slow and cumbersome - so much so that I was loath pick things up or open doors. The camera is irritating when you are in a hallway and can not manuever it to see whats in front of you. I was very unhappy with this game and returned it to the store from which it came.

Review: I must say a very great storyline first of all... The graphcis are decent nothing special. All i got to say is get this game.. I am sure you will like it.

Review: If Troika had their hands on this. It could have been freakin sweet. But they didn't and this is what we are left with: The story line is decent although very linear. This seems to be a more of a hack and slash style than actually story based. The grapics are decent and the spells and attacks are all very well done (that and the excellent combos you can make are top notch). The combat is pretty difficult and akward and pretty insane at the beginng and pretty much throughout. I haven't made it all the way through out of disgust at dying so quickly and having to reload many times in a 10 minute period. Plus having to load at each new building, town, everything is really annoying especially with how much you can install to your HD. If you want an action driven RPG I would recomend looking towards Dungeon Siege or Diablo 2. But this is still just an ok game.

Review: Soulbringer is the best RPG I have played in a long time. I found myself inventing reasons to find time to play it. Who needs to eat or sleep anyway? The game is not perfect but that is some of its charm - thinking what could have been is part of the fun. The story is great, the music wonderful. The interface was different and took me some time to master. Soulbringer has unseated Arena as the best RPG I have ever played. I have also played it a second time, something that I have only ever done with Arena, Myst, and XCom. I consider Soulbringer to be one of the masterworks of computer RPG gaming. I hope that there is a Soulbringer 2.
