Rating: Summary: 3D Hunting Shark Review: 3D Hunting Shark is a fun game, to play, choosing from four weapons and four different locations to hunt your prized trophy shark. But the reason I gave this game a three star rating was because I didn't like the depth of the game. All you can do is hunt four different species, in four different places, and look at your score. No attributes that even say how large and awesome your shark is, just hunt a bunch of sharks that look exactly the same and get eaten by oversized goldfish. Other than the lack of depth in this game, it's pretty fun.

Rating: Summary: Jaws Review: I played this game a few times. Once I survived the dangerous waters. A newspaper flapped on the computer screen. That probably meant "I killed a shark!" The other times I got killed by hammmerhead and great white sharks. I walk right in front of the great whites to see if I get killed. He always turns and faces me and eats me. Less than 1 second you see the scuba-diver's blood come ot and two sharks are feasting on him. If the great white gets you, in the end you see him going back and forth always opening up his jaws as he faces you. Exellent game.
Rating: Summary: Deep Trouble Review: This game is great as far as blood and guts go,but it still missing some things.I agree with Dustin about there being no depth to the game. The creators should add more weapons, shark species, and hunting areas. One place they should add is where I live Tampa Bay,Florida, the discovery channel named Florida the most likely place in the world to get bit. They should also make a better weapon that has more ammo and a longer firing range, about 18 meters. As far as the sharks go I think they should have at least 20 different sharks.I agree with dustin about getting no information on the sharks.I would like to end my review with a complaint about playing the game. The game started saying that there was an error yet I meet all the requirements.I sent an error report several times but nothing ever changed.
Rating: Summary: Don't Waste Your Money Review: This game is not worth $10.00. Maybe $3.00. The graphics are less than horrible, the sharks don't even look like sharks. U can't change the controls to your own liking. Terribly limited game play 4 levels 4 sharks. About the playing the game...it may drive to the impulsive urge to explode your computer. It is extremely difficult to adjust to the controls. Some are overly sensitive others are not sensitive enough. It is easier to die in this game than to make EasyMac. Sometimes you could just be sit there with no sharks close to you and you will die. If you get aim on the shark they have to be an arms lenth away to actually hit them, also your speargun jerks around on it own which worsens the problem. Did I mention the graphics suck to no end. A three year old could program better graphics. Every thing in this game is made of horribly oversized polygons. Don't waste your money!!

Rating: Summary: A unintetional Laugh fest Review: This is a bad game, but I'm not going to write a bad review about it. In fact, I'm going to write a good review about it because this is a seriously funny game. The game starts off with a intimidating FMV sequence saying that Shark attacks are on the rise all over the world. You get the impression that you are going to go save the world from the evil sharks of death. But after the cutscene you never find anything resembling a story. Now onto the game. When you first plunge into the waters you will instantly see that the development team did not get a very good game engine. The graphics are incredibly bad, with limited see distance, incredibly poor Texturing and its just bad. The sharks are not much better, they move really slow, and look funny instead of intimidating. To hunt and kill these beasties you can choose from a few guns, a harpoon (?!) and a steel harpoon gun, and you gussed it, the weapons look bad also. You get several areas to swim around in, and a few have a shark cage, sunken subs and ships you can swim in. Combat consits of 1. Swimming around 2. Getting close to the shark 3. Shoot it. 4. back off and hope it dosent attack you and 5. Repeat over and over until you go insane. Now on to what makes this game funny. If you attack the shark and it attacks you, you get to watch a hillarious cutscene of several sharks tearing your diver to shreds (Its a lot funnier then it sounds) and you watch a graphically laughable severed hand drift to the bottom of the sea. My favorite part is how the game tries to be "Realistic" If you run low on air, you have to go to the surface to refill water and ammo. However, getting to the top alive is nearly impossible. On the way up, you have to stop several times to "Decompress" if you move up or down at all during this process you hear a hilarious muffled "Eeeeeeeee!" a air bubble boom, and you see a newspaper saying that you have died. For some odd reason, sometimes when the decompression sequence is over and you wait 5 minutes and then move up, you die. Say What? Its even harder if a shark is pursuing you. I can go on and on about how this game is so bad at times its funny. The controls are incredibly bad, the graphics are poor, killing certian types of sharks is nearly impossible and the "Gore" is incredibly lame compared to titles like Resident Evil. If you find this on sale for $5 you might want to pick it up to see how bad it is, but otherwise let this game sleep with the fishies. The good: At times so bad its funnyThe bad: Putrid graphics, abysmal inviorments, apallingly bad controlls, not much gameplay The ugly: I can go on and on.
Rating: Summary: The WORST game i've ever played Review: Whooee! What we have here is a stinking load o' shark dung! Listen up here folks, i've tangoed with the sharks in the waters of the world, and this game is awful. Really awful. Lets take a look at what the box says, compared to what I encountered!
The game starts off with a intimidating FMV sequence saying that Shark attacks are on the rise all over the world. Gasp! What does this mean? James Bond type villians are creating uber sharks of doom? Nefarious plot to take over the world? I dont know, and I'll never find out, because once the cutscene is over, there is never again any mention of a plot. But who cares? It's a shark hunting game! It's bound to be fun right?...right?
"...Four compelling 3D environments and waterscapes with true-to-life prey..."
Eagerly beginning a new game, I grab my shark hunting equipment(A gun) and plunge into the ocean. If the game loads withought messing up the already bad graphics (more on that later), then you'll be treated too...the worst graphics in the history of mankind. These graphics (if you can call them that) would look really bad on the Atari 2600. Everything is horribly pixelated and low rez. Objects are barely recognizable. Sunken ships look like rectangular boxes with a smaller box on top (and are completley hollow. I dont think real ships have nothing in them). The sharks themselves look terrible. These horribly animated beasties look like they were made by a five year old with three minutes of computer experience. Ditto for everything else.
"...weapons and equipment..."
You get three guns that do absaloutly nothing, and a useless spear. Have fun!
"...plus a predator that fights back..."
Well, these sharks ignore me 95% of the time. If they ever notice me, they turn towards me and swim in place for thiry seconds. Then they accelerate to mach 5 and charge me, killing me in the funniest death animation i've ever seen. Awsomely realistic!
"...3D Hunting: Shark is the first and only game that lets players take on the predator of the deep in realistic hunting expeditions..."
Lies! Lies! All of it, terrible lies! Aside from the sharks that ignore you and can swim at the speed of light (see above), that entire statment is a horrible lie. There is almost nothing realistic about this game. The attempts to make it realistc only make it more painful and embaressing. Take for example, going up to the surface to get some air. You have to go upwards, and at certain points you must wait for "five" seconds to decompress. Well, the developers definition of five seconds is either A. Ten seconds B. One minute and C. There is no time, only eternity.
If you somehow manage to make it to the horrible looking surface, you have a 90% chance of dying the moment you go down one centimeter. I have no idea why either. Of course, why would you want to go back down to continue your so called "hunt"?
And lets not talk about the bugs! The screen constantly (80%) goes completly negative in color when you are foolish enough to start a new hunt. Hunts (to my relief) fail to load 80% of the time. Simply terrible!
Is there anything good in this package? Well...the box art is cool. Thats it.
"....You'll reach the shores with a trophey...and the chance to once again face off against the trophey of the deep."
Hahahahahaha! I dont think so! The only chance I'm going to take is the risk of getting my hands dirty while going through the effort of uninstalling the game and embarking upon the long perilous journey to toss it in the trash. I think I played it for a grand total of three minnutes before I realized that I wasted fifteen dollars on this piece of garbage. It was another five minnutes before I uninstalled the game, never to play it again.
Dont bother with this game at all.
