Summary: unlimited replayability ? Not after you beat Hell
Review: This is indeed a good game, but many improvements can be made to make it an even better game. My suggestions:

1) Items should have negative modifiers just like the original. Now that when you get a piece of good equipment, you still have to judge whether the negative effect is worth it.

2) Nobody ever use normal/magical equipment after the 1st quest. Maybe equip should not be repairable.

3) No random quest. Storyline gets boring when you beat the game once.

4) NM & Hell are too easy. Many can beat the 3 diff lv within a week... I personally don't find any more challage after beating hell difficulty

5) Imbalance issues...

Of course this game still rocks. It's very additive (Playing all the different classes)

Summary: Very Good but not Perfect
Review: This is an exciting, action-packed game that kept me up late more than one night. The variety of character skills add still more challenge to it. Worst problem: the game cannot really be saved, only restarted. This usually means having to travel via Waypoint and re-kill some monsters if you do manage to quit playing and come back later. I would not let a little kid play this game. It is far too scary (and grisly!) On the positive side: The Waypoints, and there is even something to be said for monsters coming back to life. If you go completely broke in a later act, you can Waypoint back to Act I and slug some monsters to get money for weapons, then work your way up through Act II and beyond. That at least partially makes up for the inability to reverse your last mistake by reloading the game.

Summary: Still addicted after two months!
Review: The part I like best about DII is experimenting with thevarious types of characters. Each one has its own strengths and weaknesses in the quest to kill Diablo. I love the fact that you can play it on the internet and the points and objects found online are permanently transferred to the character. It is interesting to pit yourself against other humans who have developed characters and form alliances with them. Unfortunately, the server sometimes becomes overwhelmed with traffic and causes intense lag or won't even let you in.

Although it follows in the footsteps of the original Diablo, this version is enriched with individual dungeons, outside exploring and interfacing with many more monsters than the original version. It is a longer game and it is much more challenging than the original.

This game is so addictive that it is a serious threat to the institution of marriage. Severe addition is the only real criticism I can make of this game. Spouses beware! END

Summary: Wow....
Review: what can I say, ever since the game came out I have spent every spare momement playing this game, I was a huge fan of the original, must have beaten it like 5 or 6 times and Diablo 2 basically Improved all the things about diablo 1 and more. The 5 new classes are great, every character with their own unique playing style, skills, and stratagies make for a customizable character and game play. The loads of armor and rare and unique items that most have different artwork for each character for each class of armor. Sure the graphics are a bit dated within the first couple of acts but they a bit better in the later level, besides its not the graphics that make the game because you stop paying attention to them after about 2 hours. Diablo 2 also fixed the problem with diablo 1 where instead of only letting the sorcerer could use magic they made skills which are each customize to benifit that specific character, like barbs have skills that benifit his swords or whatever weapon hes using while a sorceress skills revolve around useing spells. Diablo 2 also fixed the online game play terror from diablo 1, where it was a cheat fest with Bnet closed servers which saves your files onto blizzards computer which justifys the fact that you cant save the game at any given point and take off from there, its really not even that annoying once you get used to it. Diablo 2 also improved the dull dungeons from diablo 1 with 4 different types of landscape, one for each act which really pleased me. Online gameplay is really fun as well, because you can trade and get more exp and talk with other people. The only things I dislike about diablo are: Character classes are slightly uneven, Barbarians and Necromancers seem to have an edge over all the other classes. Bnets down time, its annoying logging on and not being able to play for a few hours, although Im sure they will fix this problem soon. Slightly dated graphics, but that doesnt bug me that much. and heres the kicker, you need alot of ram to play smoothly, I have 64megs and when I near a large hord of monsters my computer sometimes starts getting about 1 frame every 3 seconds and Im dead, but Im going to get more soon I hope. Other than that this is a great game. One last thing, dont compare this game to baulders gate, I bought BG played it, beat it, loved it but Diablo 2 and Baulders Gate are two completley different games and you have to take each one for what it is.

Summary: Simply The Best
Review: It's simple, JUST BUY IT!

Summary: Diablo 2. The long awaited title....
Review: I went like "yahoo" when i heard that Dialbo II would come out. Actually, i went to a mutlimedia store at around 12 am just to buy the game. I was nr 5 in the whole city to buy the game : ) I really enjoyed the first one, so i was really excited to try the new one.

The game-graphics has been greatly improved and all new characters have been added, great movies and a much better storie-line. All this and then the music. Now thats someting to write about. It has just been lifted to the skies.

But that doesnt change that it only took me about 3 days to complete the game (in normal). Pretty weak. And the graphics aren't that good. I personally think that Blizzard are a little to lazy, if it took them so long to make the game. But. Still the game is still one of the best in this year, so go out. AND BUY IT. The only sane thing to doo...

Summary: When will they start making the expansion?
Review: This is the a must-have for all RPG gamers out there. I've been to hell and back and still craving for more.

I was a little frustrated at first because of the new save system(you can't explicitly save it) but overtime you'll get the hang of it. And I thought that the saving system was good because you will have the option to go over your enemies again or to skip them if you already did the last time you played not like in the first diablo. My point is you can gain more experience. Also you won't lose anything if you put it on your stash or your inventory before you end the game. There are a lot of waypoints w/c you can activate. The next time you play you can start from the last waypoint you activated. So the save system isn't that bad at all.

The story line is good too. The best part of diablo2 is your never-ending(well it's actually up to you) search for the best items either online or offline. All in all this is a great game....really.

So now that i've finished the game, I know that there's an expansion and I sure will be coming back for more diablo2 gaming goodness.

Summary: If you liked the original, you'll LOVE the sequel!
Review: If you liked the original Diablo, you'll the sequel no doubt!

For all you people new to the Diablo series, it's an awesome series with an involved storyline like all of Blizzard's games.

I recommend this to anyone!

Summary: Good, but not great. Had a tough act to follow.
Review: This game is the continuation of the (in my opinion) the best RPG of its time. You have little choosing of your path, and little character development, but you WILL spend countless hours playing it. Finding items, killing monsters, taking in the ultimate of evil in the ever growing David and Goliath saga. If you played Diablo 1, this is a 3. If you never played Diablo 1, this is a 7 or 8. Diablo One was a complete triumph, this one, is a good game, but had to live up to Star Wars: Episode One like hype. If you overhype something, it will inevitably be doomed to fail. The bad news, Blizzard wanted to release all language versions at one time to limit bootlegging, thus allowing avid fans to gossip and speculate, ruining the game theoretically. Buy it. Its good. You'll beat it, you'll say you have, you'll move on. Its a good game, just overhyped and underdone. Could have been better, and less like Diablo 1. AWESOME STORY/PLOT LINES! Its worth a pick-up.
