Summary: Great game in the beginning which quickly gets boring
Review: Diablo 2 is a great game when you first start out, but then after you clear the game the first time, things go downhill really fast from there on. The action gets monotnous and boring. Although I like the character advancement system, gameplay and graphics, playing it once through normal mode was enough for me.

Multiplayer didn't work too well for me either since I had to play on the Asia server. Oh yeah, I have a character there, but with 0 playing time and level 1 thanks to lack of server space, it really wasn't much fun.

Summary: Better Than the Original
Review: This game is incredibly addictive. If you are sick of Diablo 1, don't think you will be bored of Diablo 2. The same great gameplay is back, only highly refined and expanded 5 times. You can literally play the entire thing through 15 times and not see everything.

For those of you who haven't played Diablo, it is basically an RPG version of Solitaire - very simple, very repeditive, and very addictive. The perfect game for blowing 30 minutes at lunch, but beware - you might take the rest of the day off!

The backdrop of the game is breathtaking! You will travel through dark caves, desert tombs, monasteries, deserted cities, jungles, ancient Mayan temples with undead priests assaulting you in waves, and even the rivers of Hell. The final showdown with Diablo is 10 times better than the original. The story that ties everything together is, well, not as deep as other RPGs, but still spell-binding. The ending will have you begging for D3.

And once you finish it, you can play it again! This game has the most replay value of any RPG ever. First, it is actually fun to play over and over. Secondly, Diablo 2 has five highly unique character classes which all play differently, and within each class are 30 skills which would take you 300 levels to explore! You'll want to finish the game 2-3 times with each character.

Finally, Battle.Net rocks. You are basically getting a MMORPG for free, without the monthly fee. Get online, meet your friends, form a party, and hop on a game. Incredibly simple. The games gets dynamically tougher as more players join, and you will never feel like there are more players then there are monsters. Forget camping, or taking 3 months to level - Diablo 2 lets you have fun immediately and doesn't slow down. During launch, everyone was trying to use it at the same time, but now things have calmed down significantly.

Summary: Lather, Rinse, Repeat...
Review: I wanted to give this game more stars. I really did. The characters are distinct and interesting, the graphics are very good, and it can be quite addictive.

However, there are a couple of flaws that are so annoying it's impossible to give the game a high rating.

First and foremost, the game can be so repetitive at times it could be used as a substitute for Sominex. Some scenes continue far too long, and as you progress into the nightmare/hell levels, it's necessary to repeat scenes in order to level up before continuing with the quests. This gets so monotonous it's unbelievable. Endless traipsing through the Flayer Jungle is enough to give anyone a migraine.

The second huge flaw is that the Blizzard team must have been high when they tested the relative character strengths throughout the entire game (normal, nightmare and hell). Anyone who has played several of the characters into at least the nightmare level will probably reach the conclusion that the Barbarian and Necromancer are by far the easiest characters (Barbarian in particular).

Considering how long development took, I expected more from Diablo II. For how long is it fun to run around killing 5 or 10 versions of the same basic monsters? The answer is, it's fun for awhile, and then you start to drift off...desperately longing for games you would never have previously yearned for, like checkers or solitaire. ANYTHING sounds better after too long with this game.

Sorry, Blizzard folks...better luck next time. I think I'll go play Baldur's Gate II now.

Summary: Not As Good As The First
Review: I waited a long time for Diablo II (maybe too long). Yes, it's bigger with more monsters, better graphics, etc. But, it doesn't have the same spookyness that made Diablo I so appealing. The atmosphere of Diablo made it better. Diablo II is awesome for it's "hack & slash", but I miss the "spooky" sounds and atmosphere that just aren't there in Diablo II.

Summary: THE BEST GAME AROUND!!!!!
Review: This game is the best. every one says that you lose some sleep, grades go down, exe. exe. I haven't lost any thing. This game is better than any final fantasy game i have ever played. The qusts are good and the gambling is a great idea. I collect the set idems whichare very helpful and hard to find. The monsters comning back is the best part of the game.

I am playing a level 24 barbarian. Now it is hard to level. Overall, this game is worth buying.

Summary: This is Blizzards best game ever
Review: Me being a great fan of Blizzard I have played most of their games and Diablo 2 is the best by a long shot. The spells and weapans alone are enough to keep you awake for hours at night, the ghaphics aren't much improved from the first Diablo but none the less they are still better. There are so many quests to defeat and boss's to kill that once you clock the game you'll just want to do it again.Ohh wicth brings me to the point there are five charcters to chose from and also three class's to chose from basicly they are easy meadium and hard so all you peaple who have read this you know to buy Diablo 2.C ya

dude, even my mom can beat this game. she doesnt speak english, and she cannot read neither. it is so easy that she got bored when she was fighting diablo (the last boss). and she yelled at me: "I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU SEPNT 10 DOLLARS ON THIS CRAP!" (i lied to my mom that Diablo II is only 10 dolars. I dont want to die, you know?)

well, Blizzard is always my favorite game company, but it is really a company that suited best for strategy games, look at Starcraft and WC II, they r awsome.

if you are a gamer happend to look for a roleplaying with balanced battle system, and a great developed story line. i recomand you check out Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate II. but if you are just as i described above......BUY IT!

Summary: Awaiting the sequel to Diablo II - the mission to fight Baal
Review: After playing Diablo II it was really interesting that I chose another class character to fight. It seems that different class characters yield different results and storylines. Using the TCP/IP link was very easy and I could connect to my friends easily. What's fun about Diablo II is the fact that you can see the difference each individual character makes in a party. Great cinematics from Blizzard Entertainment. Eagerly awaiting the release of Diablo II sequel, afterwhich we will have Diablo III! Well done!

Summary: I can't sleep!!
Review: This game is the meaning of the word addictive. From the moment I starting playing I've had Diablo II on the brain!! Hours of action non-stop! After you beat it, you get to go through and do it ALL OVER AGAIN!! How cool is that!!??

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Blizzard does it again.
Review: I'll keep it short, this is a great game. Every part of the game is exceptional and has incredible amounts of replayability. Better than Diablo (which was a great game itself), it is one of the best games I have ever played. I wouldn't want to be a game company schedualed to release a game when this came out!
