Summary: A Fan Of EQ
Review: I orginally started to play this game at a friends house. I became very addicted to the game and I have it in the mail coming to me very soon. It's great for anyone who likes to play AD&D. It gives you a nice graphic view of many of the characters that would look like from AD&D characters. You can either play solo or group up to level up. But grouping is the easiest way to Level up quickly. There are tons of monsters and lots of different types of characters to play and the style you want to be in. There is magic, warriors, monks, wizards ect in all different speicies. This game is great to kill any time, but the time does fly by on this game, so make sure if you have a date to some where, you keep track of time. What i like about the game is, the first month is free, almost like a trial, after that its up to you if you want to continue to play it. There are tons of servers to play on, so if you don't like one of the servers, try another until you find one that you appriciate.

Summary: The best game for friends and just fun
Review: I actually don't own Everquest but I will hopefully get it soon. My best friend owns everquest and we play it a lot, not enough to the point where we go insane and see everthing as a link to everquest. Personally I think that anyone who has ever wanted to play through a huge world of magic set in the future should play this game, and I have no clue what they mean by [price] a month is a con, I make a lot of money from my various jobs. It would be a breeze to pay. And I could still upgrade my skateboard. My parents still don't like the idea of paying and they keep making up excuses because I played D&D for 10 hours straight and had some kind of hangover and my speech was slurred. If your parents won't let you get the game, you should make a deal like you will become they 're slave for a while if they buy the game and you pay for the monthly thing. also if your friends play you can hook up and have fun, I have a heck of a lot of friends who play and some are in highschool or college. I am sorry that my review doesn't flow or anything but I am in a hurry.

Summary: Real Gamers ONLY
Review: This game is almost god-like. If your are a real RPG gamer then you will quickly get addictied to EQ. But if you never really liked RPG games and find them confusing then this is not the game for you. Please do not slander its image by buying it and saying its a bad game. But for others this game provides 13 different races, classes, and diety. You will find yourself playing for hours and trying to lev up. This game combines everything an RPG has and throws it at you. The World of Norrath an take up to 6 hours to walk and swim arcoss.

Summary: Time Sink
Review: Well I recieved this game from my wife for Christmas 2000. I was extatic to try it. Upon creating my character, and enterring the world, I was truly amazed. But It got boring real Quick.

The good points:

Great grafics and hardly no lag.

The world is huge with dungeons and continents, cities etc.

The chat system is easy to use, and the game interface is well designed.

The bad points:

The world is huge, but people play in the popular zones only, most of the dungeons are empty, and one cannot solo the dungeons. So a huge world, yet so small.

The downtime is horrendous! When soloing you fight a mob for a minute, and have to sit and recover for 10 minutes. When your a magic user you have to stare at a book for that ten minutes.

Leveling your character takes too long in the upper levels.

Your character gets weaker as he advances, because what you fight gets so much stronger.

Travel takes forever. You take boat rides from continent to continent that take 30-45 minutes.

A very stagnent world. Nothing happens ever. And the players have no imput whatsoever.

The game system forces players to "camp" creatures for good equipment.

The upper level game 50+ must be accomplished with 20-40 players, which means an all day event 8+ hours of playing.

Some classes are basically useless in the upper level of the game, so its frustrating to level a character to 50+ and not be able to find a group of people to hunt with.

And above all this game is a life-wrecker. You will be so addicted that all you will think about in your waking hours is Everquest, and all you will dreanm about is everquest, if you sleep at all.

This game had alot of potential, but it was poorely executed by the developers.

Summary: One of the first ..... but not one of the best
Review: Granted this game helped pave the way for more recognition for the MMORPG genre, but that doesn't mean it is one of the better MMORPG. The one thing I really couldn't stand was the horrible control of the veiw and the constant ... chat that was flowing through the screen. If you want to get a good MMORPG to get started ..... go with microsoft's Asheron's Call. If you want a really, really good MMORPG then wait about a year when all the well produced ones will be coming out.

Summary: its good if you stick with it
Review: When i first got this game i was hooked, i couldn't pull myself away. I tried every race/class combination, and found my favorites (Puen, a lvl 9 druid, and Tamorf a lvl 14 warrior). I played to lvl 14 and started to get frusterated. Not much things to kill around this level (well at least that i didn't have to wait in line for). I liked it at lower lvls but after trying everything that got boring. The combat system sucks. You hit a and your person stands there and attacks for you. Bows and spells are nice in this way in that you have to do a bit different. I am sure that if i could break through 14 and up to, say, 20, it would have become fun again. But i couldn't stand it so i bought Black and White and canceled my acount.

You can kill creatures like orcs, bears, bats, drones, and many many more you may travel through diffrent places like Kelethin, Bucherblock, west commons, east commons and so on. The more ex you get you raise your self a lvl. You can also start many characters. on each server you can make about 10 characters there are alot of servers so you can possibly create more than 60 characters. Some people play everquest for fun but some people want to reach the 60th lvl. Since this game is on the internet you can meet more people and make a group. Summary: Guees what the RP in RPG stands for.
Review: EverQuest is a very differnt game from what I've seen. (And played)Before I say more let's do a little review here. RPG: R-Role P-Playing G-Game. EverQuest Is the heart of an RPG. Why? You have to think. I know it's scary. In this game you're not told to go find the mystic sword, bop the evil dragon king and save the princess. No, you see you're kinda in a way supposed to live the life of your character. Even if you can't edit your character a lot though. You basic get to do exactly what you want without changeing the story because......THERE IS NO STORY!!! So you're free to go drink a few short beers (Yes you can drink in this game) and ride a unicorn for all I care. (Plese don't try to do anything else to the unicorn after you get wasted) Thats what this game is about FREEDOM!!! Now for the three star reason. There is freedom, but no direction. You can just explore if you want but why? I mean it would make the game a bit better if there were like some secret magic shards spred all over EverQuest and if you find them you get to meet the gods of EQ or something. You can't edit your character that much either. Trade skills aren't that great either. (Except for fishing you can even spill your beer!) Anyway EverQuest is about exploreing, if you like discovering new areas and game where you can travel a lot this is the game for you. If you like being lead on a journey knowing exactly where your going next....go buy FF7 or something. Oh yes I forgot to mention that EverQuest is addective (Don't think I spelled it right but oh well) as much as people say. I suggest seting your watch for an hour when you start to play, when that timer goes off try to remember what you have to do today like eating or school/work or other humans. If nothing comes up time it for another hour and keep on playing. Now if you exuse me I have to go play Everqu- *BEEP* *BEEP* Oh yes food almost forgot.....
