Summary: A Great Hunting Game
Review: This is a terrific game! However there are just a few small problems. I'll start with the good news. This is the best hunting game i've played and I've played a lot. The graphics of the animals are very nice. There are so many kinds of animals to hunt like bison,deer,bear,moose,goat,sheep, etc. It is very realistic, like if you don't drink water from your canteen your health can go down. You can sleep out in a tent. There is a truck, atv, boat and a snow ski you can drive around in. There are about seven guns you can choose from and two bows. There are a few tiny problems like the footsteps always sound the same, and the trees look kinda fake but hey it's just a game. I highly recomend this game to anyone who likes to play great games. You won't be disapointed.

Review: This is by far the best hunting game ever created. It has enormous maps and a wide variety of animals. There are 8 regions that are each 9 square miles and 29 species altogether with many non-game animals like squirrels and raccons. The graphics are perfect except that the ground has 1 repeated pattern and the trees are flat until approached. The sound's only flaw is that the footsteps never differ in sound. Also, being able to post scores at cabelasgames.com is awesome to see how you rate in the world. If you enjoy hunting then this is a must buy.

Review: You will likely find Cabela's Grand Slam Hunting in the bargain bin or bundled with a few other PC hunting games. GSH is not a bad hunting game, but it does have a few quirks. The mouse-driven interface is awkward and I found it pretty tough to drive vehicles. Walking in the outdoors is easier, but still not without problems. Bumping into a small bush sounds like the hunter is walking on cornflakes. Also, once you climb into your tree stand, your field of vision is very limited. This can lead to frustration as you hear an animal walking nearby, but just outside your range of vision.The choice of equipment is decent, but the selection of firearms is rather limited. The indoor target range is too short for rifles. The lack of an outdoor course does not allow you to practice "windage" on longer shots. On the positive side, GSH offers a wide range of game animals and mix of regions. On the easier settings, the animals are easy to locate. You may fill several tags in a single day. Ovearll, GSH is probably as good as most hunting games, but would have benefited from a bit more playtesting and refinement.
