Summary: Why do I feel like I've been ripped off
Review: Another season, another dose of EA Sports games. Somehow I think the latest batch do not bring enough change to warrant buying them. NBA and NHL brought small improvements but FIFA 2000 for me is what 99 should have been (similar to the Win98 over Win95? ). Improved graphics but no licencsed stadia or faces, similar gameplay, new lineups (expansion pack? ).

Being an avaid FIFA player from 98 the only new features which did it for me were the new replays and set pieces. What displeased me was the still near impossability to score from outside the box (real life simulation?) no free kicks bulging the nets and still the oppositions inability to score many goals - even on World Class level. And do we REALLY need Robbie Williams advertising on the box?

So does it warrant a cool 30 squids with all the great new titles coming out? I think you should wait til Fifa 2001 where it will be exactly the same game but with better crowd movements and sounds - TRUST ME this is what is going to happen

Summary: EA has messed up this franchise
Review: Can I ask 1 Question.. Why did EA mess up this series? I havn't played the whole series, I have 98, 99 and 2000 but gosh man, they really messed this one up. 1. Graphics - The graphics look very good. The player faces could have been better, but they are adequate. I like the crowd jumping up and clapping. From a distance, it does look realistic.

2. Sound - I wish i received the European version. I have the commentry off, all i have to is it really sucks! The crowd cheering is really cool, though it would have been nice to have crowd biasness in home games.

3. Gameplay - Purely disgusting. Where have most of the skill moves gone! Although the ball physics are much more realistic, it is much to easy for the computer to pick off your passess. And I hate the free kick arrow, its is horrible. It uses a power bar which really fails. Also, when taking corners from the opposite side of the field, you can't see the power bar so you have no idea how hard you kick.

One of my BIGGEST problems is the refree strictness. I put the refree strictness bar on full and the computer gets away with slide tackles from behind all the time, even when i am running with no one infront of me. This one really gets me mad!

In conclusion, I have given up on this game. I jump back to Fifa 99, its much much much better than this piece of junk.

Summary: Fifa 2000 is a waste of time
Review: Come on, MLS? please. The American commentators are ANNOYING. They keep mentioning wrestling comments in a football game? Also there are many league playing problems. Where is the argentine league? I think it is far superior than the MLS. Come on easports, this game sucks.

Summary: If you can't get enough soccer, play it on the computer
Review: EA Sports always makes great sports games. FIFA 2000 is no exception. The games has great action and control of the players is easy. The 3D players look great as they're celebrating after a goal, in replay, or just in gameplay.

Buy this and play it against the computer or online against some other crazed soccer freak! It's a blast. BTW, You can't beat The Columbus Crew because they rule!

Summary: Fifa 2000, a game, or real life?
Review: EA sports has really done it this time, Fifa2k is definetly the bestsoccer simulation, if you are not happy with it, you will not be happy with any soccer simulation. Amazing additions to the game are available. After buying the game go to these sites for amazing leagues, teams, jersey, and anything that will make the game better: thejerseyland.com, fifa2000.net, euro-ball.com. Thank you

Summary: FIFA series is rolling down
Review: FIFA 2K haven't met my expectations. By far the best game FIFA 98, were you could dribble opponents, score from distance, and have a chance (as in real life soccer) to face the keeper one on one, and choose were to score. In FIFA 2K it is almost impossible to change the direction of a shot; all you can do is shoot to the same direction you are running. It is absolutely impossible to score from medium/long distance (as you can see over the soccer leagues all over the world). And most annoying of all is that all the crosses to your own goal (including corner kicks) are always goal. The actual shielding option is something good, as well as the AI, but why do Easport take out features that were fine in previous versions of the game? What is that nonsense of Israeli and Turkish leagues? That's crap. The Argentinean league should be in the game. How do you dare (people from easports) not including Uruguay (twice World cup champions)as a national team option, and most of all Uruguay of 1950, who achieved the most important victory in the history of soccer, by defeating Brazil in the world cup final at their stadium of Maracana in front of 200,000 people? The game is disappointing.

Summary: Better then the Fifa200 - BUT!
Review: Fifa series are going down (I mean the level) very fast this time! I had Fifa99 it was a good game for me, but I thought I need a new DATA for the new players to know "where" there are.Unfortunately I had a shock because there was not so many new options that I thought. I have an advice to the EA-Sports: "The people are not mad because the game is bad. They are mad because there ARE NOT SO MANY NEW OPTIONS as there was at the independence between the Fifa 98 and the 99!"

Summary: Best soccer simulation... but, it could be better
Review: I am not kiwi, but a friend of his... using his computer. EA sports is constantly improving the graphics and sound qualities of their games, but forget to preserve the great gameplay that they used to have in previous soccer games- 98. I was thrilled to see how this game had so many soccer teams to chose from, including historical teams such as: Brazil '70, Milan 92', and Real Madrid '56. You should buy this game, it is really worth it. You are able to make your own players, teams, transfer players from one club to another, and create custom tournaments. I only hope that EA Sports can make an even better soccer game in the future!

Summary: FIFA 2000 is the worst soccer I've ever played
Review: I am sort of a sport games collector. I have played FIFA 2000 for a couple months, and I am extremely dissatisfied with FIFA 2000. First of all, it's because of the refree strictness (I set it to the centre of defined); I often recieve yellow or red cards when I use tackle (I don't use aggressive or hard tackle), and I am called offside even when the computer is passing the ball! Secondly, the goalie of my own team isn't moving at all! Every time when the ball is rolling towards the goalie, he just watches the incoming player kicking the ball into the net; the goalie doesn't do anything trying to save the ball! These problems are really serious. How could people call it a good soccer game? FIFA 2000 is the worst soccer game I've ever played. I feel FIFA 98 and FIFA 99 are way better than 2000, but I am truly disapppointed with FIFA 2000. For all of you who are reading this: This is not the game that you want to buy!
