Summary: The Truth
Review: Although this is a great bundle of games, I suggest againstbuying it. The Team Fortress add-on is free online and OP-FOR is only marginaly good compared to the original Half-Life. In my opinion you should go and try to find one of the old versions for $20 and just download the update for it...

Summary: Possibly The Best Group Of Games Ever Made
Review: From the moment you enter the Black Mesa Facility to the exciting and extremely cool end, you will be gripped and amazed by Half-Life, and the Expansion pack;Opposing Force. They are both incredibly good games with tons of action and excitement, but a great story and depth to back it up. Half-Life takes you through the game through the eyes of Gordon Freeman, a scientist who is the last hope for everyone at the destroyed Black Mesa Facility, but Opposing Force allows you to witness the game through the eyes of a military soldier, sent in to kill the aliens, scientists, and Freeman especially. They are both incredible experiences and very intense (going through pitch black sewers and venting shafts with aliens just screaming and popping out at you is pretty intense). Team Fortress Classic is a bit different than these two games but allows for really fun multiplayer experiences. This game package has great variety and deserves a perfect five stars. Everything from graphics to gameplay is incredible. Enjoy!

Summary: The best game ever now with expansion packs!
Review: Half life isn't a game, it's a way of life. The most involving and enjoyable game ever produced for the PC it pulls you into the world of Gordon Freeman and his escape from the Black Mesa Research Facility.

Essential a First Person Shooter with style, Half Life has incredible graphics and attention to detail, the helicopters being a fine example.

Be warned, this game is HUGE, it goes on for ages and never gets boring. The slight downside is that there's a section at the end on Xen, the alien planet which changes tack too much and can be frustrating to complete.

The expansion pack Opposing Force is a worthy sequel to the original game taking the action from a different angle. This time you play a marine who's out to get Gordon Freeman and the good thing is that there are fellow soliders (with pretty good AI) who are there to help you.

Simply put this game is the business, from the introduction sequence, the alien AI, the graphics and the smooth gameplay there is nothing better. Buy it.

Review: Hello, well getting right to the business. As a experianced well knowledged gamer, since quake and even as early as doom,i thought i should help you people out on this one. Half Life, the best game ever, great graphics, great plot, great everything. OPposing Force= not so good everything. Very boring, not well put together. not a good plot. Now, what the greatest thing about The half life experiance?Multiplayer. By far, THE best MODS(modifications to the game) Out there. You will pee your pants when you discover all the MODS that half life brings, Team fortress classic,Where you and fellow teamattes defend your flag and base from on coming enemies. Or counter-Strike,where terrorrist and conter terrorrist forces collide in heated online gaming action whether to bomb a nuclear arsenal, or kill a VIP or rescue hostages. Or Action Half life, were the 70s action flicks come back to life, more realistic than the others too. and many many many more. you'll be leaching on to your seat while playing these games, a must. So when you Buy half life, like the other guy said, Buy the seperate "Game OF the Year" for a cheap price, and download off the internet all the great MODS you want FREE , yes thats right FREE. TFC, CounterStrike, ActionHL, Phineas, OZdmatch, svnCooperative, etc. etc. ONLINE my friends, is the greatest thing of beauty half life has to offer

Summary: Adrenaline Pack
Review: I think that this is probably the best pack out of all of them. Who care about Counter Strike. If you buy a pack that includes CS you are paying extra money for a game that you can download for free on the internet!

Any way. Half Life has a great story. You are Gordon Freeman, a scientist for the Black Mesa research facility. Then. It all goes wrong. Aliens are everywhere. If thats not enough, there are government grunt troopers coming in also. You think they are here to save you. They are not.

Now for Opposing Force. You are the grunt. You have crash landed at the black mesa facility after you chopper was shot down by an unknown .....craft. What the hell is going on? You must find your way past alien life forms so you can get out of this hell hole. At the same time your mission is to find Gordon Freeman.

There are so many mods for this game its unbeleivable. This game is a MUST BUY. If you don't own it, well......I dont know what to say. Multiplayer rocks, single player rocks, everything rocks.

Summary: Almost 3 Games in 1, But Still VERY Worth It
Review: I'd heard about Half-Life--this supposedly incredible game from Sierra. But I'm not a fan of the first person shooter, so I thought, "Why bother?" But because I was curious about all the hype, I decided to go ahead and download the demo. That's all it took, and I was hooked.

I immediately went out and bought the Adrenaline Pack and have LOVED it. Maybe it the intensity of the gameplay. Maybe it's the beautiful graphics. Maybe it's the realism, music, and sound. Maybe it's the sheer fun. But in any event, it's the 1st first-person shooter I've really REALLY had fun with since the initial DOOM days, and worth every penny.

Yes, Team Fortess (which you play with against others over the internet) is a free download you can get with the Half-Life game, which is cheaper, but you'll want Oppossing Forces as well, so get it. To give you a low-down on the difference between the other two games, in Half-Life, you're alone (for the most part) and fighting your way out of the Black Mesa facility. In Opposing Force, your the Opposing Force to the guy you played in Half-Life, but you're not alone. Many times you'll find yourself leading a squad of rough and tough soldiers with different special abilities, and it's intense and realistic!

Cool features: Turn on/off blood. It matters where you shoot creatures and/or people to determine how injured they become (unlike Quake), and can outright die with one shot if well placed. (Aim for the head!) The sniper rifle is VERY sweet. And finally, as your team members get injured, it's visible in how they talk and walk. (They LIMP, if you can believe it, so you have to wait for them as they lag behind!)

Overall, very cool game, very cool gameplay, very realistic and VERY fun. A must for the die-hard gamer, or for someone who's not, like myself! (I NEVER buy games when they first come out. Just too expensive. But this one, I made an exception for, and haven't regretted it one bit.
