Review: Sim City will keep you entertained for ever and ever. There is endless amounts of things to do and see more than ever before seen in a game. The graphics will also blow you away and once you start playing you can't stop. I highly recomend it!!!!.

Summary: It's always hard to be good in a sequel
Review: I had the SimCity Classics and played hours with it. Then the SimCity 2000 came out. I had to change my computer as it was not fast enough. I played days with it. Then the SimCity 3000 came out. Unfortunately I am not changing my computer and I am playing with it coz I already deleted my SimCity 2000. The 3000 took up lots of space and offered better graphics and some additions like the ability to supply electricity and water to neighbours. But essentially it is still 2000 with some modifications. I still like my SimCity 2000. Wish I hadn't deleted that.

Review: For all of you out there who liked the gameplay of Sim City 2000, the gameplay in the sequel isn't that much better. If you didn't get SC 2000, or are looking for better graphics, then this may be the game for you!

Review: While the game itself is quite good. I enjoy playing my copy of the game, and still find new interest and challenges of running cities. The replay value should be obvious as there is no "end goal" to meet, though there are "rewards" along the way. There are several problems, however, particularly when compared to Sim City 2000. First, there are no scenarios. That is a pity because the scenarios often enhanced the value of the game. Second, you cannot for your own landform in the New City mode before you start the game (again, unlike SC2000). Both of these problems were later corrected for the later cousin of the game: Sim City 3000 Unlimited. Additionally, the online support is much better for Unlimited. The building downloads on the official website are minimal, and the building design tool is not supported by the basic game. Still, I will have to admit that 3000 is still a vast improvement over the previous version. The buildings are better designed, and they really do look different on different sides. Also, the graphics are much better over 2000, while they are not vastly improved in Unlimited (which is essentially the same game, with the additions above AND additional buildings). I would recommend that you do buy Unlimited over this version simply because of the vast number of updates. And, with the release of Sim City 4, it is highly unlikely that even the Unlimited website will stay up much into the future, and it certainly will not be supported any more.

Review: Welcome to SimCity 3000. In this cool adventure, you must build proper facilities, public services, and everything to make a city thrive! Make deals with neighbor cities! Fight your garbage problems!!! This is a cool game where you start from scratch(with $50,000 or less money) to make a huge city that has skyrocketing income and a perfect population. I love SimCity. But the only problem is it freezes to much on my Microsoft ME, so I'd reccomend using a different type.

Summary: I terrace mountains into zonable areas while sleeping now
Review: Guess I'm playing too much? lol I've enjoyed this game for quite a while now, and have made some spectacular cities, from miniature, to large with populations of up to 4 million. You can experiment with all sorts of neighborhood designs, and terracing to produce very high land values. You're responsible for managing power, water, trash disposal, transportation, providing parks, managing taxes(and, yes, your sims will complain no matter how low the taxes are), deciding wether or not you should accept your neighbors trash for extra income, or wether you should pay your neighbors to take your trash.....also proposals will come for toxic waste disposal plant, casino, gigamall, and a maximum security prison and each has a nice income attached, but has consequences for each which could cause your sims to riot and demand it's removal. You can also accept things like a university, military base, performing arts and stock exchange which benifit your sims, and can cause a few problems.....and other improvements which are quite costly to add, like a medical research facility, science center, theme park, nature park, lighthouse and a few others which are well worth the expense in the benifits to your city. My only complaints are that yes, running around your city having to find and destroy defunct water pumps, power plants, recycling centers and incenerators gets old after a while. Also a warning: you have the option to sell water and power to your neighbors if you have extra. I've never been able to keep these deals since at some point my city ends up running into the power I'm selling to the other city, and I'm assessed with a hefty cancelation fee before I even realise the deal is gone. A thorouly adictive and enjoyable game, I'm looking foward to seeing what new things are avalible in the new 4000 version.
