Rating: Summary: By Far the Best out there Review: I am very critical of baseball video-games, I own a lot and I play a lot. This game is by far the best I have ever played. Just the options that are available in this game surpass any other. With full control over minor leaguers (AAA,AA,A) this game real gives you the feeling of being in control of a major league baseball team. The graphics are true to life, but the sound does leave something to be desired. The announcers are choppy, and seem to burt things out. But I still give it Five stars because the game itself reaaly is the best.
Rating: Summary: Warning this Game looks good but fails! Review: I can't believe 3do would put out a game that has one major problem: Several computer owners with high end video cards cause the game to crash in mid game. Like other users the game just stops in the middle of the game. The game was working great with my Matrox 2 card but I was hopping to make the game look a little better so invested about ... for a new video card (3di Radeon 32). After installing the new card and running the game it crashes. I do give the game 2 stars because it looks great when it runs put without a patch this game is useless! As of May 2 a patch has not been released and 3do still has not answered any of my e-mails for tech support.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I have been waiting months for this game to come out, and the day the local software store got it in I rushed out and bought it right away. I was so excited, I couldn't WAIT to play! Thank god this store has a great return policy on open software. I am a HUGE fan of High Heat, but this year took a step backwards. The graphics, while improved in some aspects and worsened in others are alright. The animations seem too fast, I liked the "tight" feel of 2001. I also don't like the new blue stat/score boxes in-game. They look blocky and the font is bad. The sound has really not improved. All of the sounds from 2001 have been carried over to 2002 with the exception of new announcer voices. The Main Menu and Options screens now have varying musical themes following a rock/techno theme, what they have to do with baseball is beyond me. My main problem is the differences with the difficulty settings. If you play on "Rookie" level you are pretty much going to win no matter what. Bump it up to "Triple A" and it's pretty much the same (I have had 10-16 run innings many times, I even won a game 46-0). So go up one more notch to "Pro" and all of the sudden the computer is pitching one-hitters and nailing every pitch you throw to him no matter how much you switch it up. And what's even more bothersome is that there is 2 more difficulty levels above that! Better balance with the levels would have been a nice touch. More minor problems include your baserunners with a mind of their own even when you specifically state in the options that you want full control. Announcers saying things at the wrong times or audio being cut off half way through their sentence. I even had the game dump to my desktop right as I hit a game winning homerun before. I'm not saying that this game is absolutely terrible, I just don't think it was an improvement over 2001 which I belive is one of the best games I have ever played. High Heat 2001 never made me pound on my keyboard or swear at my monitor in frustration....every single game of 2002 did. *Word of note for anyone who is having a problem with their graphics when a ball is hit into the outfiled. There is a box in the "Preferences" screen right underneath your Video Card selction with a check mark in it. You need to un-check it every time you go into the Preferences screen because for some reason it likes to automatically re-check itself every time you enter Preferences.
Rating: Summary: Baseball at it's best!! Review: I have played the High Heat series since it's inception and this is by far head and shoulders above the others. The music is awesome and the graphics are a huge improvement over HH2000. You can also customize EVERYTHING in this game to suit your playing preferences. The only downside to this game is the person doing the color commentary is a little redundant, but this is a very minor complaint compared to the vast improvements in this game. I was addicted to playing HH2000, but this game goes beyond that!
Rating: Summary: Very realistic baseball!! Review: I have read a lot of reviews of how the game doesnt run on computers, but that is because they are older computers. i run my game on and AMD athalon 1.2gig, 256 mb ddr ram, and an ATI radeon 64mb video card and it runs great. i know what your thinking, well that computer is really good. my friend runs the game fine on his 333mhz pentium, with 64 mb of memory, and an ATI 32mb all in wonder card. even a slower computer can run the game. as for gamplay, some of the best i have seen. i used to play triple play, i am a high heat fan by far now. the game is the closet thing i have seen to real baseball yet. the tv style presentation could be better, but all in all this game is definitley worth it.
Rating: Summary: Best PC Baseball Game on the market Review: I highly recommend this game for serious pc baseball players. I played the Triple Play series for 4 years, while EASPORTS has done nothing to improve their product, High Heat has done a great job improving graphics, maintaining an excellent stats interface. I have seen a lot of reviews about their system crashing and other bugs. I run a Athlon 900, 196RAM, and ATI-32MB All-in-Wonder card. The first time I installed the game and ran the update feature, and updated all my drivers nd the game would crash every time. I reinstalled my game without running the update and it runs fine. The only bug I have found so far is if you throw to first base on a pickoff move then press the throw button the first baseman will throw the ball to the catcher, if you press the throw button again(while the catcher has the ball and you don't press the D-pad) the game exits back to Windows. I find the difficulty the best part of the game. When I first started playing I played at the AAA level, after one season I moved up, and so on. I play at the All-Star or MVP levels, winning and losing is realistic and stats are realistic, no .500 avg and 100homers. Overall I highly recommend this game. If you play a custom league with draft you have access to the extra players.
Rating: Summary: This game sucks Review: I just bought High Heat Baseball for my PC. With baited breath I waited for this game. It was going to be great, and why not, I have HHB 2001 and it was the best game I've ever played, so why shouldn't the newer version be just as good? Now I am stuck with this piece of junk. What a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I have been trying to play season mode, everytime I play a game I get kicked back to my decktop. I have been unable to complete one fricking game. I get close to compleation and I get kicked back to my desktop. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Save your money. This game sucks. Some of you may be thinking that it may be my computer, and so did I at first. But it is a new PC less the a few weeks old, so I don't think that it is my PC. Again I state DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I'M BEGGING YOU KEEP YOUR MONEY.
Rating: Summary: High Heat 2002 Review: I think this game is the best baseball game every made. I almost didn't buy it because alot of people had problems with it. But i haven't had much problems at all. I have a PIII 600 with 192MB ram and a Voodoo 3500 and it works just fine.... The game plays alot like last years game but it is a little harder and the graphics look alot better. Plus i down loaded all the stadium updates and the sound updates to make it super cool. There are so many add-ons on the internet, you can customize the game to your likin... I love the game and play it all the time. Just hope it'll work on your computer.

Rating: Summary: great game Review: I's a great game. Realistic game play. Download stadium files from the internet to get better realism in the stadiums. The bugs are easy to work out. My pentium II 400 with an ATI Rage pro video card run the game beautifully. No crashes!
