Rating: Summary: U.T.G.O.T.Y.E. Review: This has to be one of the greatest games ever made. Its' been out for over 2 years but I still play it often if not every day. The team features such as capture the flag or assault are great for multiplayer gaming. There's also tons of mods out for the game, most of which are free. Some even allow you to have a Half-Life type of game with different units. The graphics are superb, the game runs smooth even on older systems (PIII 500mhz, 64mb Ram, 8mb ATi Rage Pro). It suports virtually all type of hardware configurations and has reasonable low system requirenments. U.T. has caught on and is now available on virtually every console. (UT Championship is coming soon for X-Box.) If you never played U.T., you don't know what your missing.
Rating: Summary: Unreal Tournament Kicks F&$^(#@ A%$ Review: I loved Unreal Tournament and now Game of the Year is out. They could not make a better game. The new maps and weapons are great. Has to be the best game I have played.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable! Review: Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y. edition is totally on another specrum of first person shooter games. The graphics, stages, game modes, and sounds are all light years ahead of their competition. The game is extremely fun to play-you'll be staring at the screen for hours upon hours upon days. The multiplayer gaming aspect is also top-notch. Finding LAN or internet games is simple. The virtual "bots" also benefit from advanced artificial intelligence that makes them behave like a real player would. In short, this game is a must have-even if you already own the first UT. Try it; you won't be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Stop reading and get it already. Review: The developers of Unreal Tournament couldn't make a perfect game better, so they simply gave us more of a great thing. If you thought the original Tournament was incredible, then Game Of The Year Edition is off the charts. You get new maps (like Facing Worlds 2, a facelift to the original Facing Worlds!), new wepaons, new types of gameplay, and mods that you can choose and combine to make a map more fun. One mod changes the arena to low gravity, while another makes the weapons and ammo explode when shot. In short, my favorite game of all time, period! I hope you love it too.
Rating: Summary: Haven't Bought it yet... Review: But the demo was so amazing, the graphics were so rich in detail I'm about to order the full version within the next hour! Unreal Tournament blew every fps game away as said in the previous review! None can compare and with the new game plays such as a counter strike type game play there will be more and more players converting over to Unreal Tournament!! This game is a must buy for 3d Gamers!!
Rating: Summary: Unreal is Back Review: I dont have this game yet but i can tell you it is similiar to the orginal. If you dont have the original look at my review. If you are looking for a review for the game of the year edition, skip mine. Unreal tournemnt blows away all fps games to this day. Multiplayer is the core of this game being able to play with 15 other players in real time is the best thing in the world.
Rating: Summary: This game never gets outdated... Review: It's already some time ago when this game appeared for the first time. The graphics were cool, game play was outstanding, great sound and you had a hell of alot fun with it. Now 5 years later (?) nothing changed to that, although it's a bit less fun nowadays wich is normal after 5 years...
Yeah, nowadays you got UT 2004, but it can't compete with this one, the first remains to be the best first-person shooter ever made. You also don't need alot of space or an amazing videocard to run this game. Online-mode is hard, 'cause all the die-hard-fans stayed in UT 1 and they are difficult to beat. I'm not going to say more, but if you're into first person shooter, this is the mother of all first persoon shooters!
Rating: Summary: Unrealistic amount of fun! Review: This game is the best FPS I have ever played in my life. If anyone on this whole site has given it less than four stars, they must have low coordination, and suck at life. I first played it over my friends house and became instantly hooked. Now I live, eat and sleep UT. I wish I didn't have to go to work, so I can stay home and play all day. Friday nights I play from 6 PM-6 AM, Saturday nights I play from 3-pm to 6 AM. Yes, I do play it straight. I wish I didn't have to eat or go to the bathroom because it takes away from time I could be fragging. I just bought the Nostromo n50 because I must be the best. When I am not playing UT, I am waiting impatiently to get back. All I need now is to be hooked up to an IV and a piss bag so I never have to leave the computer. This game is highly addictive, but at least I can say I'm not addicted. Well I have to go I've spent more than 5 minutes away from UT and I am becoming depressed.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Game, Fantastic Value Review: There's a point in every good game where, for a moment, something sends tingles down your spine, much like a favorite song on the radio. In Epic Games' Unreal Tournament, that sight was setting Mars rising on the horizon as I dueled to the death on an orbiting space platform. Yep, this is awesome. While waltzing through a local department store, I happened upon this game for only ten bucks. Being more used to games like Descent, I haven't played with too many FPS titles. Quake and Red Faction were the only major ones I had any experience with, but I had heard nothing but good things about Unreal Tournament. And for ten bucks, what the hey? All I can say is WOW. That ten dollars bought a game that I will play and enjoy for years to come. Simply put, this is one of the highest-quality titles I've seen in a long time. A fun and addictive FPS, UT redefined my expectations for an FPS game and is easily the greatest "bargain bin" title I've ever bought. Out of the box, you get tons of levels and gameplay modes. There is a single-player tourney, but you can play against the computer-controlled bots as well. On-line, expect to see packed servers even to this day, several years after the game released. UT also comes with an awesome game editor called UnrealEd that is relatively easy to use. Tutorials are everywhere and new levels are released everyday to freshen up the UT experience. Put bluntly, this game never gets old. The graphics aged rather nicely, and the soundtrack is remarkably great. Even when I compare it to Unreal Tournament 2003, which I later bought on account of the greatness of the original, UT still shines. The awesome weapons, the varied arena settings, and the general "feel" of the game just aren't the same in UT2K3. There is a certain beauty and elegance to this game, despite the lack of insane details as in UT2K3, that keeps me coming back to it. Critiques? I only have a few. One, the netcode is rather sensitive to lag, such that if you aren't playing on a sub 100ms ping server, you might find that its unplayable (course, that's just my opinion). Two, I wish there were more character models to use. There are about a half-dozen in the game with only two or three "skins" apiece. While it's enough to differentiate between players, there is too much repetition to it (UT2K3 addressed this by having tons of models to choose from). And last, I tend to think that the game's sense of scale is a bit strange. In many levels, including my own attempts, the players seem small compared to the environments around them. This is even more prominent in UT2K3. None of these flaws are major problems, however - more like tiny details and ways to improve what's already near perfect. For merely ten bucks, you can't go wrong. If you haven't played UT, you owe it to yourself to find and buy it. Check the bargain software section at your local store. This could very well be the finest FPS ever designed.
Rating: Summary: This game is to this day still one of my favorites! Review: This is a game that is fun anytime. I found the single player game a total blast o rama. It is non stop action. Ive played so many first person shooters and this game set the standard for sure. The develpers and producers have since release tons of official extras for this game to double the replay value. They have added downloadable map packs with new music, character models, voices, and freshness! Even with all the new fancy games out, I still end up playing this all the time. My freinds all love it too and that is where the game really shines: mulitplayer. Take this game online. If you dont have the featured map(there are zillions made by fans) then the game downloads it for you right before you start blasting! It's fool proof. 100% action 100% fun 100% replayability 100% worth the price I already bought two copies back in the day for full price, which I never do. It was that good and worth it to buy it again after losing the fisrt copy. Like I said, I never pay full retail for games, but this one was an excellent exception.
