Summary: The best, for a reason
Review: There is a reason the EQ still has over 300,000 registered users, it is far and away the best online game ever made. Despite problems and many critics it is still the best value I have ever gotten out of a game.

Review: Strait up this game is the best game i have ever played in its genre. This game is so huge and addictive it messed up my social life hehe.I got my girlfriend and family playin and we all have fun together its great.Im a 55 rogue on the game(5lvls away from the max)and i still find it to be enjoyable exciting and leaves me calling up my family telling them all about my situations.Thats why im sayin this game is weird well because it does so much and leaves you wanting more even when you die and hate it.

Review: I agree with earlier reviews that this is the best game currently on the market, However, I used to say that about Ultima Online. Both games suffer from the same problem, the game designers are non responsive to any ideas they don't agree with, which is to say, they do anything they like, often at your, the paying customers expense. I left Ultima when EQ came out and experienced the same poor customer support once i reached a level where it made any difference, and I will leave EQ when the next MMORPG comes out, I hope not from Veriant or Origin. I am letting my money speak for me at my displeasure with both companies. Visit any of the many websites devoted to either game and read first hand what you will be required to endure once you advance to a level where it makes a difference before you purchase either game, or their follow on products.

Review: I have been playing EQ for about a year and enjoyed it without any problems but the last patch or set of patches they made me download jackup the game. It was a directx patch for the new upgrade. Lots of other people have complained about sound and graphic since the last patch. Verant has refused to do anything about it and blames the dumb customers for the problems. I havent played in about a week and miss the game alot. I would buy S.O.V. if i was still able to play it. Make sure you have the few video cards verant wants you to have before investing in the game.

Summary: It won't work.
Review: Experienced EverQuest grognards know why this expansion will NOT work.

First of all, Verant stated that Velious will be set up like a huge, epic quest. Zones will have to be gone through in a certain order. Three words: Huge Traffic Jam. It'll be like another Plane of Sky. Except it's a whole continent, not just one zone. Uber guilds and uber guild alliances will have to take turns going through the place.

In other words, it's going to be a mess, and probably will not help the high level baby boom problem in EverQuest.

Review: I've logged 187 play days to date in EQ....that's 187 x 24 hours....a wee bit more than the blurb's "several hundred hours"....why? Cause it's fun...it's immmersive and yes..your family will wonder where you've gone and why you are "still playing"?

EQ to date has been amazing. The world is huge and there is pretty much always something to do. I expect the new release to be interesting because it will be deviating from the current pattern in the game and will be a nice change.

I have pre-purchased and expect to enjoy it. RoK helped alleviate boredom in the game and gave us much more "stuff to do"...I expect the same from SoV.

Enjoy =)

Summary: The Only MMORPG!
Review: I have played this game since the second month it was released in 1998. It is an amazing experience. You can decide to play however you like, some play for power, items, weapons, and armor, while others play to chat and talk to their online friends, much like you can in a program like the Palace.

You can work on skills like Swimming, Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Poison, etc... It takes a little while, some perseverance and time to become a master, but once you do yo uwill reep the rewards byt being able to sell the items you can craft and yo uwill make alot of friends if you have some of these skills ;)

Although I usually only focus on the skills I need for my personal characters, you can create up to 8 unique characters per server in Everquest! You can create these mules (toons) to hold extra lore items or to just have an arsenal of characters to play whether your guild or friends in a guild need a specific class for a raid (killing dragons, adventuring into difficult dungeons or even Altered Planes (Hate, Fear, Sky and more))!

I love this game!

It has taken more hours of my life away than any single activity in the past two years (almost) than any other.

You can now customize the color of the different types of text on screen to your liking, use Voice commands, Move the different on screen info panels around and resize them etc...

It is truly becoming better and better every time they patch it. But dont be dissuaded as stated here, the game is not perfect or without flaws, but overall its the best game I have EVER played. And thats saying ALOT.

I am 30 years old and some people dont understand how I can spend so much time playing EQ, but I just tell them they will never understand until they try for themselves.

Good Luck, and see you in Norrath or Kunark or Vellious!

Summary: Cool interface
Review: I've seen screenshots and the new UI is pretty awesome. There are now 10 sets of 10 hot-buttons (100 instead of 36) and you can move any window wherever you want it. Don't want the group list? Move it somewhere out of view!

Summary: What? No Player Killing?!
Review: I expected this game to really rule. I thought to myself, "Tens of thousands of players rpging together? It will be chaos! People will be banding into nations and battling each other for dominion! Imagine my disappointment when I found that pking is not only disallowed(or restricted), in most servers, most players I talked to professed DISGUST at player killers! Worse, guards are now near invulnerable. What? Can't a guy have a little fun and slip a 6-inch dagger between a guard's plates and into his back? It's only an AI. I pray for the day that someone with a sense of fun (dreary drugdgery, which is what this game is starting to feel like after four months) takes over this company and point this world into the right direction.

Summary: Elena
Review: I have played this game since it first came on line in beta. Compared to all the games (RPG and others), this has been the best. The graphics are awesome. The theme in each zone is unique unto itself. It is truly so addicting, that you forget about everything else. As in all games or groups where people interact, there are problems. I usually ignore the ignorant ones (who are mostly the young people who play). Some players say that it's just a game, but they must remember that real people with real personalities play it. The guides or GM's have always been helpful to me. The true adventure is exploring the lands. The monsters are really scary but exciting. This game is too real and too exciting for you not to buy it. You will be very glad you did. I'm hoping my 52 level Druid (Elena) will meet you sometime in game:).
