Summary: I think I am being to generous withone star.
Review: This game is absolutely 100% awful. DO NOT BUY IT. If you can get it free then only maybe should you try it, but other than that do not buy it. It has pathetic graphics and an at first (15 min.) it is kinda one of those [bad] graphics but good fun kinda games (ie GTA), but then after you play for like 15 min you grow to hate it (not like GTA). For your pockets sake do not buy this game.

Summary: And the point of this game is???
Review: This game is very stupid. Beach Head 2000 is an incredibly big waste of time and money. Dont buy it. In this game you defend your beachhead by all possible means. Every level is the same, witht just a few more enemies. although the AI is good, after the first day you play it, its like "been there, done that." im warning u, dont buy this game. The cover may look cool, but the gamplay is incredibly boring and repetitive. DONT BUY IT.

Summary: Good4 a hour Bad 4 Life
Review: This is a cool game where you shoot falling object to get ammo and have good controlls (see my review for beach head 2002) but this gets tiring REALLY fast. I mean fast. The difference between the(inflinate)levels are the # of men no more weapons of bonuses or change or scenery all the same. This gets boring FAST.youll be bored by the time you finish loking at the box! Its all the same thing. Even if you like games like these when your REALLY bored you may pop this in for a 2 minute break(it beats homework)but thats about it. Well hope this told you something and was helpfull.

Summary: One Fantastic Game
Review: This is a fantastic game with increasingly difficult levels. It is not a simple shoot em up game but is one that takes strategy and thinking. Unlike Allied Assault or Return to Wolfenstein, one does not have to play and play and play to finally win against the computer. Thus the one thing that is positive is the controls are easily learned. There may be those who think they have to have a game in which one has to go find a "banana" or some "blue key" for it to be a good game and that is ok, but when you want something that will relieve stress rather than build stress such is the game as Beach Head 2000. The Graphics are great sure they don't change but alas the title Beach Head 2000. It is truly you against the computer and a game you can win but come back to later and lose against. It is a fun game that one can well have fun with. Well done!!!!!

Summary: Nifty game, but gets old in a hurry.
Review: This is your basic no-brainer type of video game for PC, although you'd probably expect to find it on a Nintendo or Playstation platform instead. Very arcade-like feel, with really no intellectual involvement required.

Imagine D-Day 50+ years later, except this time you're the one defending the beach, and you're all alone. Your main weapon is a wierd machinegun-like weapon, but you also have a sidearm, antitank gun, air to air missiles, and maybe some artillery. Ammo is finite, but can be resupplied by airdrops from friendly planes, but if you run out, you're dead meat -- plain and simple.

Landing craft filled with infantry or armored vehicles land on the beach and disgorge their occupants, who immediately begin trying to close on your position. As the infantry get close they start shooting and lobbing grenades. APCs try to carry more grunts around to your rear, while tanks blast away at close range. To make matters worse, jets, bombers and helicopter gunships start strafing and bombing you, while transport choppers keep dropping more bad guys behind you. The first wave is pretty easy, and each successive level gradually gets a little bigger and tougher. Eventually and inevitably you get overwhelmed by their numbers -- game over.

The graphics are pretty good, and the sound effects are likewise well done. I personally like the "shaking" effect when your position takes a hard hit. The game definitely has some features to recommend it, but it fails to hold your interest after a while. It gets just plain repetitive, although I suppose that can be a good thing if you enjoy those types of games. For me, well, it got old pretty quickly.
