Summary: Best Multiplayer Around...
Review: Codename Eagle does not have the greatest single player game ever, in fact it gets to be a bit of a waste. However, the multiplayer aspect alone is worth buying this. In multiplayer, you are thrust into a map with vehicles of various kinds all around you, including motorcycles, fighters, and tanks. Adding to this is an arsenal of 1917 weapons, including machine guns and bazookas. Recently, several patches have been released, adding a giant zeppelin, new levels, and a helicopter. Don't think that just because you haven't heard much about this game means it isn't worth having, this was an amazing job with the game itself but poor exposure has caused it to be depressingly little-known. I have had this game for quite some time, and I can honestly say that playing this game on Gamespy quickly becomes addictive and is more fun than any other game I have used. I used to play Jedi Knight online quite a bit, but it pales in comparison due to the outstanding vehicles of CE.

Summary: Doomed to the bargain bin
Review: Codename Eagle takes place in an alternate universe with the Russians at power. You are Red, working for a supersecret British service (MI6?) And the stated purpose of the game? To provide an exhilirating ultra-realistic covert ops experience. Does it live up to that? Well, no. To be blunt about it, this game plays like any other first person shooter except for one thing; you can take control of many vehicles. A motorcycle, a tank, or a plane. The handling on these vehicles isn't very realistic, but it's fun. Until you see a fence. The fences are electric and shock you if you touch them with everything. Now how's that for realism? It really detracts from the gameplay. Just like the stupid enemies. Seriously, would Russians use electric fences? No. If you want to read about all the bad points, head out to daily Radar. Now for the good points: The mission and level design is pretty solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but the variety of open landscapes is pretty welcome. Also, the Bond-inspired storyline isn't too bad. But please, only buy this game if you find it lying in the bragain bin.

Summary: Russia with love
Review: Given that the FPS genre is dominated by companies like id Software, Epic, and others with an established pedigree, it's a refreshing change to see a quality game like Codename: Eagle come out of a small European company. The game's few minor points are not large enough to detract too heavily from the unique nature of the game, although not everyone may appreciate the style of game play that CE has to offer. Nonetheless, Codename: Eagle presents a unique blend of puzzles, action, and strategy that sets it apart on the battlefield of FPS's. And hey, you get to be an elite British commando - and isn't that what we all really want in life?

Summary: Great Game
Review: Great game from not a very famous company, TalonSoft. I think it's cool because, as in real life, you can ride in almost every vehicle you see. The vehicles are the best part about this game, while the weapons aren't anything new, the vehicle riding is very realistic. As in if you ride a motorcycle over a hill at high speed, it flies through the air and violently lands on the ground. The bad part about this game is that you can't save it. If you die, you can't load a saved game, you've gotta play it over again.

This game may not be a computer gaming wonder, but you will have fun with it.

Summary: Lots Of Fun On A Lan!
Review: This game is all about one thing, Multiplayer FUN!!! It is a little buggy and you can get stuck in a wall every now and then. What is so great about this game is the vehicles. To fly a plane and have a co-pilot working as a gunner is great! Another blast is to load up your team in the blimp and head off to the enemy base in a capture the flag match.

I am a member of a local computer gaming center here in Carbondale, Pa. and this game is fast becoming one of our most popular games. It has such a high fun factor that you will only truly find out how good it is if you play it on a lan.

I think that if this game was further developed it could do very well once word of mouth got out.

We here at cyberwarriors.com give this game a big thumbs up!
