Summary: AARRGGHH!
Review: I think that if you have a super-fast PC, and you dig this stuff, get a demo. I don't have a 32 MB video card, so the frame rates were very choppy. I'm just pissed. I'm going to return it ASAP and get something else.

Summary: More of the same
Review: If you're expecting many suprises, improvements and additions in the Delta Force sequel then don't. The first disappointment is speed. I really enjoyed Delta Force mainly due to its fast and smooth frame rates. Version 2 can get painfully low frame rates especially when you point your scope to the action. I tried it on a 128MB PC with a TNT2 Ultra graphics card and although movement was smoother it still showed signs of slowing down in the action.

Graphics, sound, weapons and other gear are more or less the same. That is not say the game isn't good. If you liked to pass your time with Delta Force then version 2 will keep you busy as well. Just don't expect all the new features advertised to make any significant difference to the original. It's more like an expansion pack.

Review: Basicly there isn't a way to express DeltaForce2 because it has great graphics and sound, also very lush and big enviroments. But there is alot of slowdown and runs like crap right when the action is getting hot.If DF2 would have fixed those slowdown bugs(same goes for DeltaForce)then DeltaForce2 would have been an instant classic. If you have some spare money to waste for nothing, buy DeltaForce2 because truely I feel confident that Novalogic will come out with some patch(i dont see how NOVALOGIC wants 2 failiers) but if you really do have to spend your money wisely then go get Nocturne(if your comp can handle it,LOL!)or.....just get somthing that interests you!

Summary: Somewhat Disappointing
Review: I really enjoyed Playing Delta Force, and I thought that DF2 would be a souped-up version of the first. The graphics are ok, and the campaign missions are original, but the game is so incredibly laggy. It ruined it for me, because the game simply doesn't run as smooth as the first. If they can get rid of the bugs with this one it will be awesome.

Summary: TERRIBLE
Review: Delta Force 2 has to be the WORST action game I have ever played. The game is terrible. The graphics are horrible, the enemy intelligence is not as great as everyone has made it out to be, and the overall gameplay is just frustrating. You can't get your teammates to do anything. And the graphics are so bad, that they make you sick. While there are interesting weapons to pick from, the gameplay is so bad, that it will turn your attention away from the things that are cool in the game, and point you in the direction of complete confusion and frustration. While the terrorists are "semi-smart", your teammates are dumb as rocks. Multi-player mode is probably even more frustrating. There may be neat places to hide and snipe from, but chances are, after you die, you are going to start out again in the worst place ever (as soon as you start... people are already firing at you!). In my opinion, multi-player mode would be better if everyone only lived once... and then a new game started. Sorry Delta Force fans... but the game is terrible. If you are looking for a good action game where your teammates actually respond to you, and the graphics are great, then take a look at Red Storm Entertainment's ROGUE SPEAR. I played Delta Force 2 to see if it was "better" than ROGUE SPEAR, because that is what I had heard. Now, I can't even figure out how they could even say that Delta Force 2 was better than ROGUE SPEAR. Delta Force 2 was really bad... it could have been done A LOT better.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: As a huge fan of the original Delta Force, I was eagerly awaiting the release of Delta Force 2. I must say that I was sadly disappointed. I expected some improvements over the original. Granted that you have new weapons and a little more functionality, the game falls far short of what I was expecting. This should of been an expansion pack to the original. I have shelved it after only playing it a hand full of times. My advice, borrow a friends copy and check it out before wasting $$ on a retail version.

Summary: Novalogic has fixed some of the problems in DF2
Review: When I initially tested DF2, I only rated this game with 3 stars because the full version of this game is full of glitches. However, Novalogic has finally released the patches to fix Delta Force 2 problems. This game is now more stable than it was initially released. The graphics are somehow faster now on my 16-bit video card. Now, I am back playing my DF2!

The AI enemies in DF2 are actually smarter than the ones in DF1. They can duck and hide behind bushes and tall grass. In some missions, enemy forces in fact send reinforcements. Very cool! They look for high grounds and hide in strategic places. Plus, they shoot very accurately. So if you are not careful enough, you can die easily.

This time, Novalogic incorporates story lines into its newly released DF2. This adds new spices to the game. Weather effects also add new flavors to DF2 because they make the game more realistic than DF1.

The only drawback is the night vision goggles. They are not very good. In some places, it is not helpful at all. Sometimes, it is so dark in certain spots that you cannot see anything. I like the night vision goggles in DF1. The new weapons are terrible too. In fact, I never use them. All I need is the M-4, sniper guns, handgun with silencer, and the anti-tank rocket launcher. Loading is a bit slower than DF1 and smokes disappear very quickly, but these are no big deals though.

I recommend this game to all first-person shooter fans. BUT you must download the patches right away. Now it becomes a 5 stars game!

Summary: A great follow up.
Review: When Delta Force came out I had to have it. It is one of the few games I kept coming back to, that and Half-Life. So, when I heard that Delta Force 2 had come out in the States I had to get it.

My opinion is its fantastic. What did it for me in the end was I was hiding behind a wooden building when a armoured vehicle with a heavy calibre machine gun started shooting at me through the building. And the ability to straith a tent with you gun and kill inside. Brilliant.

Summary: a slower Delta Force 1 with a few new weapons
Review: Delta Force 1 was a great new addition in the first-person-shooter genre. The experience of fighting outdoors, being able to see hundreds of feet away, ducking behind bushes, hiding out on a hilltop and sniping people far away from you ... it's one of the best online experiences I've ever had. Now we have Delta Force 2 ... and nothing much has changed. Some new weapons, new maps, and new single player missions. Unfortunately, the graphics are more demanding, causing slowdowns on many machines. If you have a 32-bit 3D card, you're lucky - those are the only ones the game accepts as of now. All in all, this is still a great game with the best online action around - I recommend it!

Summary: Excellent update to Delta Force
Review: I found Delta Force 2 to be an excellent update to the original Delta Force. The new weather effects and weapons certainly make for a more enjoyable and atmospheric game.

I did have a problem with jerkiness initially, but found that lowering the resolution to 400x600 fixed the problem. With a better graphics card (mine's only 8Mb) this problem shouldn't occur. I also found the network game play (over a LAN) to be very good, with no lag or any other problems.
