Summary: One of the Greats
Review: Grim Fandango combines every element you look for in an adventure game in a fluent and involving fashion. The plot, the comedy, the political intrigues, an occasional romance... All right here! One of the things I found most amusing was, whenever Manny (the main character) manages to build his life (or is it death?) up again, you (the player) takes over and manages to ruin it in a day! (Whew, think I got enough parenthesis in!) If you enjoy an easy-going adventure game with a great story to tell, this game's for you!

Summary: The Most Entertaining Game to hit shelves in a long time!
Review: I'm a lover of adventure/puzzle games, and this one is one of the best I have ever played. If you like games like Curse of Monkey Island, Shivers, Myst...you will adore this. It's got a VERY good story line, the puzzles are hard but solveable, and you can't seem to stop playing it! The lands you travel to are amazing, the soundtrack is great...there's not one thing I didn't like. It's also hysterical. It makes for an exceptional experience..I was sad when it ended. Kudos to Lucasarts!

Summary: LucasArts have done it again
Review: If you liked Full Trottle and love LucasArts' games in general, you'll love this game. It's one of the funniest games I've ever played. The way all the charters talk hispanic is enough to me laugh out loud. Manny Calavera is the most likeable anit-hero you'll ever have the pleasure to control, in this fantastic Land of The Dead adventure game. Who said the adventure games was dead. Grim Fandango proofs them all wrong...

Summary: Grim Fandango: a terrific game
Review: I just finished this game, and I really enjoyed it. If you like adventure games, you'll love this. The graphics are spectacular, and there are many new areas for you to explore as you journey though the game. There are many more areas in this game than you typically find in any type of computer game. Plus, the characters are great, and it actually has a storyline that would stand up quite well all by itself. My only complaint would be that some of the puzzles didn't make sense to me. At one point, you take a piece of tape off the wall, and all of a sudden a character will talk to you who never wanted to talk to you before. That's just one example. Many of the puzzles do make sense, though. I still think this is a game that any adventure gamer would enjoy.

Summary: Who can't like Grim Fandango?
Review: It's amazing, funny and totally engrossing. Unlike some adventure games, a lot of the time you can see where the story is going. Characters are lively, graphics are amazing, and the whole thing is well worth any money.

Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: When I first got this game I was very exited. There was a lot of hipe around this game and it is all true. From the first movie you know you are in for a treat.

You start out in the land of the dead as a travel agent(grim reaper) trying to pay back your deat for a less than perfect life. Then though you sense something fishy going on because you never seem to get any of the good clients. And the story goes on from there.

The game is set in a 20's setting with all the mobs. You meet some of the most interesting charecters you have ever seen. The charecters are all 3D and they look beautiful. Even though all the charecters are 3D it is not a polegon fest, all the backrounds are beautiful hand painted peices of art, as good as Myst.

The controls are a little clumsy at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use. When you see an item your charector's head moves, it works very well, but when you are far way from the camra it is hard to see if the head moves.

All and all this is the best game of the year, and may be one of the best games ever made. This is the first adventure game that actualy made me want to keep playing, and almost dreading the end. This is the future of adventure games, and I think that anyone that likes games should go out and buy Grim Fandango

Summary: Enjoyed it thoroughly, but one star behind Monkey Island 3.
Review: I rate a game on how many deadends I hit, and for what reason I hit them. I only hit two in Grim -- the reason was not logic but a trick in character manipulation. I usually don't get tricked if there are logical reasons to pursue (the worst case of "no logic" is Lighthouse for example). The game was very entertaining and there were only a few "aborts" to deal with. I had no problems with elevators as mentioned in the editor's review. Still -- I enjoyed Rama and Monkey Island more than this one.

Summary: Beautiful graphics!!
Review: This graphics in this game are quite impressive! I was constantly amazed at the work that went into the graphics. The puzzles are/were challenging. I haven't finished the game yet, Still 1/3 to go, but I wanted to convey how much I am impressed with this game. If you like adventure games, and have alot of time on your hands, get this game!

Summary: The Day of the Dead has never been so fun
Review: Beautiful graphics, intriguing story, and fun puzzles are all in this new game by Lucas Arts. I'll skip the story, since you can read it above. I must mention one thing, the voice acting is great. Kudos to Tony Plana, the voice of Manny Calavera. Grim Fandango isn't perfect though. There are some clipping problems and control problems, but I'm sure these will be fixed soon. The problems do not hamper the game in any way. I recommend this game to anyone who likes quirky, fun adventure games with a twist of film noir.
