Summary: Not impossible; Just challenging
Review: I found this game to be very fun and engrossing... There are no dead ends and you cannot "die". Some puzzles are indeed challenging, but all of the clues are there, albeit vague. Lack of patience is the game player's enemy in this one. Just keep at it and enjoy the story!

Summary: One of the best ever!
Review: If they made more games like this, I'd be a pauper. Intelligent, funny, easy to use, easy to solve, and no bloody chess problems. It's also thought-provoking, gorgeous, well-written, and as believable as talking skeletons and elevator demons can make it. One of my favorites that I play over and over again. One caveat: At least one puzzle seems to be tied to processor speed, so if you have a fast machine you'll need to download a patch from the manufacturers' website. Well worth the trouble, though.

Summary: Simply Excellent
Review: Words really can describe how wonderful this game is. The first thing you will notice is the incredible graphics (note: a 3D card is not required!.) Everything is drawn in great detail right down to character traits and facial expressions (who would have thought a fleshless person would be so good with expressions.) The story is also very entertaining and added with the graphics, it makes this a very absorbing adventure. This is one of the few games that I can't say anything negative about. This is a must have!

Summary: "Grim" an excellent mix of puzzle solving and storyline
Review: Lucasarts scores again with an awesome puzzle solver that has vivid and colorful characters. The plot is right out of 1940's film noir. This game is made for a solid 3d graphics card and looks unbelievably fluid. Background and ambient noise give a strong impression of a complete world. Good mix of puzzle skills tests and character interaction. Definitely a keeper.

Summary: Amazing story!
Review: This is the gaming industry's answer to "Citizen Kane"! An amzing story with great graphics and music. The puzzles are usually fairly tough although a couple of them are a little frustrating.

Summary: Adventure lives on.
Review: Not a whole lot to say except that as far as adventure games go, this is the standard that all others should try to exceed.

Outstanding voice acting and scripting. Hilarious game without making fun of itself. Tough but logical puzzles that will have you scratching your head. Beautiful and ORIGINAL storyline, movie material right here.

This is what adventure gaming was fated for.

Summary: This Computer Game Is That Good!
Review: My mom bought this game a long time ago and I like playing it. The graphics are excellent, the characters are great, and the storyline is excellent. I really like playing this game and I also like trying to solve the puzzles in this game. If you don't have Grim Fandango, get it because it's that good.

Summary: As much fun to watch as it is to play
Review: First, you have to understand that I do not generally enjoy, at all, this sort of wander around, solve the puzzle sort of game. But in watching my son play, I was hooked. The designers have created a great blend of the familiar and the unexpected. Heck, you just don't see film noir aztec/art deco adventures in the land of the dead all that often. Superior story, fun soundtrack, and visuals that are every bit as engaging (in their own loopy way) as Riven all contribute to a game that is...well, here's the kicker for me. My son has long-since worked through the whole game, but he still gets it out regularly, pops it in, and "watches" it just like any of his favorite movies.
