Summary: Could've been such a great game!
Review: ...this game is too hard. It's not hard a in good way like having to use a lot of strategy and wits to win the game. It's hard in a you-almost-die-when-encountering-one-enemy kind of hard. You get to play the 3 different species: predator, alien, and marine (in the order of easiest to hardest). In the predator games I can actually finish most of the levels, but in the other 2 (especially the marine games) you basically die if you let the enemies come within 3 feet of you. And this is when the game is set to easy!!

But to be fair, I haven't played the aliens or predator missions too much. The only one I really like playing are the marine missions, because ever since the alien movies came out I always wanted to know what it was like to actually be in the movie. This leads me to the best feature of the game. It really makes you feel like you are really in the movie. The marine missions will scare the crap out of you and then some. The other 2 missions aren't too scary or great in my opinion. Marine missions are very dark with aliens seeming to come out of no where. To compensate for this, the game has night vision sensors, endless amount of flares, and the motion detector from the movie. Although, the motion detector seems to be better at causing your heart to race then in actually helping you.

This game would be perfect if it wasn't so hard. I haven't even passed the 3rd level with the setting on easy. .... Because it is so hard, the developers should've made the single player missions playable in a multiplayer environment. Trust me you'll need the extra firepower and someone to cover your rear flank. If you want to know how quickly you would die going against these aliens in real life then buy the game. ....

Summary: Tough, realistic combat
Review: A quick insight into this dark thriller: One thing is for certain, they've captured the essence of both the Predator and the Alien species into one game while throwing in the useless Marine(watch him be quickly obliterated by the Predator's cloak and fire attacks and slashed and gutted by the wall jumping aliens). With this said, you'll probably want to avoid combat as a Marine; your lifespan is insufficient to that of a Predator or alien. The Predator's visual aides are quite useful to ensure that there are no approaching enemies, while the alien's visual aides are not nearly as unique and useful. Another downfall of an alien's abilities is that even though you're allowed to use slash attacks, they seem rationed with time(you've been climbing up walls for minutes slashing through grates and ventilation ducts, finally, when you spot a marine or another alien species, you are unable to move your claws fast enough to ensure your defeat). So, in other words, if you're trying to get through a game as quick as possible, the Predator can ensure your win. A marine and an alien, well, you'll need to work alittle harder. Since this is the gold edition, it also includes an official Prima strategy guide(for all of those who need an immediate defeat and are struggling), game engine enhancements and optimizations, a special in-game save(not available in the first edition), nine new levels never released before and new Marine weapons including "the Skeeter" and automatic pistols. Oh, apart from all these brand new features, there is a returning component, one that brings the game truly to life: an 8-player multiplayer mode. Slash, cloak and fire your way through 7 amazing multiplayer levels with over 4 different types of matches: Predator and Alien tag(how cute),Last Man Standing, Co-op, Deathmatch and Species Team Deathmatch. Capitalized by its stunningly original environments and its incredible attention to detail, Alien vs. Predator is a sure hit for anyone who finds that just watching the movies isn't enough.

Summary: Aliens Vs Predator
Review: Alien Vs Predator is a first person shooter. AVP has a very poor AI and does not have much of a storyline, It is just a get from point A to point B by killing everything that comes in your way. You could play as three different charecters Alien, Predator and a Colonial Marine.

ALIEN : The Alien levels compared to the others are very easy. It does not have any weapons besides it's claws and tail, So to kill someone it needs to get very near the enemy, But a couple of attacks could kill the enemy. It moves really fast and can walk on walls or any surfaces. It can see clearly even in darkness. The alien gameplay is orginal and a initially a lot of fun but gets boring fast because the same thing happens in every level, No new weapons or new enemies.

MARINE : The marine levels are very difficult and quite unplayable. He has a lot of weapons but is given only a few for the levels and sometimes after the level completion the weapons collected are taken away and is given only a few. Each level have a lot of monstors but you can't see them comming because the levels are very dark and you need to use the image intesifier to look ahead, It makes the dark areas green and the bright areas white, If you fire a weapon with the image intense on the screen becomes white and you cant see where the enemey is. One minuite you could be walking with full health and aurmor but before you know it zero health, zero aurmor and game over. The marine levels are very difficult even on the easy difficulty.

PREDATOR : Compared to the marine the predator levels are very easy but not as easy as the alien. The predator moves very slowly and can become almost invisible, It has many weapons and can take a lot of damage. The predator has four types of visions to see in total darkness and it can also heal itself.

Each of the three charecters have six levels each, If you complete a charecter you could unlock a few bonus missions, And the number of bonus missions that is unlocked depends on the difficulty you play. AVP Gold has a limited number of saves depending on the difficulty. I would recommend you to play on the hardest difficulty (Director's Cut), Though it would be very difficult it would unlock many bonus mission, I don't think there is any difference between the difficulties besides the number of saves you are limited. AVP's graphics are sound are ok, The special effects are very good. Compared to the other games it ran very smooth and it did not crash much either. Alien Vs Predator is a good game but only for very good gamers, It is the most hardest and the most frustrating game i have ever played.

Summary: Great Game
Review: Alien vs. Predator Gold is a fantastic game, difficult, at times terrifying and completely addictive. There is also a great multi-player option that takes place in office cubicles. The scale is a bit off but the ability to blow up the computers on the desk along with the enemy is wonderful. Another great thing about the Gold addition is that it comes with the full manual.

Summary: Aliens versus Predator
Review: Aliens versus Predator is an okay game. Not the best. Not the worst. If you love Aliens [like me] buy it. If you love sci-fi, buy it. If you love FPS, buy it. If you just like shooting things, buy it. If you aren't one of the four above, I wouldn't buy it.

Summary: AVP: Aliens Versus Predator Tips And Comments...
Review: Aliens vs. Predator, a game based from two different Sci-Fi movies, is a great strategical/first-person shooter game that combines a great mixture of action, terror, suspense, and gore. The game isn't simply between aliens and predators, but also with the added human character to add a different side to the story and adding, hopefully, more depths and variety to the game. Designed for intermediate to professional pc gamers, the game isn't for those who are slow and clumsy, bad of memory or heart, or those not into games like these.

However, looking over the other side, the game A.I. needs much improvements, human counterpart should be even out slightly more, and more levels should be added. However, for the cost and the date it was made, its better than many games made to this present day.

Just think about fighting an alien that, instead of running straight at you, will instead, hit and run and use cover of the darkness and walls more. Aliens in the movie, tend to use team work as well. Thats some improvements, but I might be being a bit too picky.

Summary: Time to begin the hunt
Review: As a former "Doom" games player, I have witnessed a great revolution in the graphic representations since then and that was just a few years ago. This game is very difficult needless to say, but you if like a challenge in your gaming pursuits this one is it. A lot more complex than some other "shooter" games, this game offers many levels of graphic details whether its the interior of facility or the outside of a spacestation, you are definitely not dissappointed with the attention to authenticity true to the movies from which this and previous versions were derived. HAPPY HUNTING....

Summary: Scariest game ever
Review: AvP is a great game. When I first played it, I had to stop playing it late at night---it made it too hard to sleep. This game still gives me nightmares if I play it before bed.

Three FPS games in one, each requiring different skills to survive. As you fight your way through the levels, you come across different creatures---the alien drones, the alien pretorians, the alien queen, the predalien, (an alien/predator cross,) and the xenoborg.

I do have some quibbles, though. For some reason the frame rates get worse the longer I play. I have to reboot to correct this. I don't have this problem with Quake. Also, sometimes walls aren't as solid as they appear---Aliens can sometimes attack you through walls, or fall through walls when you kill them. Sometimes you can clear a room, leave it, come back, and the aliens have magically reappeared. Not exactly fair, but in line with the way they seemed to come from nowhere in the movies.

Summary: BEST GAME EVER CREATED!
Review: AvP is the best game I have ever played, and I have played shoot'em down games since I was 6 years old. The graphics are terrific, and several scenes in the game are staight out of the movies. The marine has a wide array of unbeatable weapons, and in my opinion, the most fun to play. The Predator is very fun to play, because you can be invisible, and sneak up on marines. The alien is quite fun because you can climb around on walls. Each species is unique, and awesome. You must get this game. THERE IS ONLY ONE DOWNSIDE TO THIS GAME! There aren't enough levels. I finished all the levels, and was very depressed that the magic was over. But it did take a while to finish them all. This is an AWESOME GAME!

Summary: AMAZING GAME BUT DEPENDS ON YOUR ON CHOICE
Review: AvP was a game that caught attention to every alien and predaotr fan tha game was a hit, people loved to play avp online. Now there is avp gold so whats the difrence well it depends on the buyer.

If you really enjoyed AVP reg versions online play this is a game to buy with new multiplayer maps 2 new weapons for the marine double pistols and a skeeter gun(fires out discs) for the marine, and some graphic enhancment.you can also use the new weapons on single player mode aswell and the newer levels can be played in skirmish mode.

BUT,this game does not appeal very well to the single player lovers yep same old avp folks just 2 new weapons to use in single player plus the new skirmish levels.but this game is very bloody not for weak stomatch's lol anyway its your choice.....
