Summary: Avoiding Gettysburg
Review: Civ II is the only game that manages to combine strategy and tactics in the same game, making me play it over and over. Tactics is not enough. I cannot get interested in re-fighting the Battle of Gettysburg, when everyone knows that Lee should never have gone NEAR Gettysburg. Strategy is not enough. Who wants to be Mr. Speer, building stuff but not deciding how it fights? Civ II gives me both, so it is my favorite game of all time. Of course you won't want this expanded game if you already own the previous edition.

Review: Civilization is by far the greatest strategy game ever created. I have never been so transfixed by any video game like this before. Since the first time I saw the very first Civilization I was hooked. I love this game....creating and controling your very own civlization......what could be better. To anyone who likes to play strategy games, I highly recommend any and all of the Civilization games.

Review: Great. My teacher put it on the computer at school and all the boys love it. Good planning and stratagey are a key to this game. Kids in my class even went out and bought the game. If he finds the game, he will buy some and sell it to the boys.

Review: I got the multiplayer gold edition of this game, in which you could play online. It also included many scenarios. This is a very addictive game, the scenarios and scoring give this game infinite replay value, and it can be played hours and hours without blinking. If you can find the multiplayer gold edition I recommend that more because it has scenarios, and the scenario editor. This is a great game and anybody who likes Real time or turn based strategy will get a real kick out of this game, as I know I have

Review: I have owned this games for a few years and have literally lost months of my life to it. While the graphics are not the greatest, the gameplay keeps you involved for hours (months, years...). It is pure strategy. I never grow tired it. The World War II scenario is fantastic.All in all, it is the best money I have ever spent.

Review: i love this game you can spend days playing it and always get a different outcome my brother had the gold edition which is better because it has all the scenarios but this is a great game it does get boring though when you control most of the world but its still very addictive

Summary: Best of the Best - Worth 10 Star Rating
Review: I love to play strategy games, and I truly enjoy Sid Meier's games. But of his creations, Civilization II is tops. Even compared to his latest Alpha Centari, Civ II is still the best. The 'best' rating could change with the new Civilization III, but we'll have to wait and see on that!
