Summary: If you liked Red Alert...
Review: With improved graphics, modified waypoint options, better game engine, and a not-too-shabby (not-that-great either) storyline, fans of strategy-based gaming will probably like this release. The online play was a positive experience as well. A good effort by Westwood, and the expansion pack is great as well. 4 1/2 stars.

Summary: Good Fun!
Review: Okay I admit it, the two main reasons I bought this game are James Earl Jones and Michael Biehn, whom I believe are bloody great. However, the game in itself is lots of fun. I'm making my way through the GDI games at the moment, and having a good time!

Summary: I HAVE SEEN ALOT WORSE
Review: Ok so maybe Tiberian Sun isn't the best thing on the market buti have seen alot worse. The graphics are pretty good for the C&C series and the sound is well shall i put it WOW. Maybe you think the game really stinks but the story line is GREAT! The Multi player is so incredible, you hit 2 buttons and you are playin with all your freinds. Skrimish is the best thing you can adjust which kind of play you want easy meduim or hard. The game is so addictive that anyone would play it for hours... Overall the story line is great the graphics can do better but they are still good and the sound is awsome i would give this game 5 stars anyday.

Summary: SO IT'S NOT FANTASTIC ... SO WHAT!
Review: This is this is the first strategy game I have ever liked that I played, so maybe I'm partial to it ... but I love it! I don't understand why some people are so crushed when their "favorite" game series puts out a bad game. It's not that big of a deal. For all you Red Alert buffs, Red Alert 2 will be out soon so chill out for a minute. There are a ton of different strategies to play this game with so it becomes extremely addictive. Once you get the basics down ... the sky is pretty much the limit on strategies you can use so this adds replay value to the game. It will definitely keep you busy until the next installment by Westwood. The online play is great and easy to use. I haven't even played the single player game because I just can't get enough of the online play. So unlike the other people who are saying they hate it (but they probably still play it often), I like it an awful lot.

Summary: Not a copycat of Red Alert; better than Starcraft
Review: Well, it seems that those idiots who gave TS a low rating was because they thought TS reused Red Alerts units. That is completely wrong . TS is set in a futuristic world with advanced units. Red Alert was a PREQUEL to the original C&C and was set throughout the Cold War. TS does not use standard tanks and the new units were made as it would have been seen in the year TS took place which was 2030. This is especially true with GDI and there titans, disruptors, firestrom defense, rpg towers, MMK II and a whole lot more. Nod has has the cyborgs, underground units, and and the banshee aircraft etc. Now, are these the same units from RA, i dont think so. Westwood retained a couple of units from the original C&C such as the devil's tougue and light tank but they upgraded the functions of these units to please gamers. Nothing from this game was copied from RA- trust me. As for Starcraft some say its better than TS and some say it isnt. I personally hate that game. Its way more complex to understand than TS simple interface, no deformidable terrain, you have to RIGHT CLICK to deselect units (very awkward), structures take extremely long to build - as well as units, those same structures look like they have legs(terran barracks and engineering bay). I also have no idea what the storyline is about (no real actors - jus bad FMVs).I could name a whole lot more but it would take up too much space in this review. The only single thing i like is the marine responses which give u a good laugh now and then but it still gets repetitive after a while which is common in almost all RTS games. Sure, Starcraft is an original game with new features that pleases people just like the old C&C. some people ask for too much in a sequel and when they find what they havent been looking for, they disgrace the game. We'll see what sequel is in store for Starcraft but for now, if youre a serious fan of C&C's then pick up a copy of TS- you'll find an intersting game with a whole bunch of new features including some old time favs that would have remembered.

Summary: Tiberian Sun kicks!
Review: I have noticed that most people believe that Tiberian Sun is a sequel to C&C: Red Alert. This is not true. Red Alert was written as a PREQUEL to the original C&C and happens during WW2. Tiberian Sun then picks up a little while after where C&C left off. The best twist in the game is that Kain (NOD leader) is back, although the truth about his death in C&C 1 is a little mixed up. The graphics have been improved tremendously, the maps are larger, and new awesome units have been added. The storyline is not as intriguing as the other two C&C games, but it is a good story line also. In my opinion, Tiberian Sun was the best RTS of 1999. If you have the other C&C games, it is a must own. If you don't have the other C&C games, or are debating between Red Alert and Tiberian Sun, BUY THIS ONE!

Summary: Tiberian Sun: Can it live up to StarCraft?
Review: The answer is a simple NO! I owned StarCraft and then got Tiberian Sun. Big mistake. A waste of money on my part because the perfect strategy game was already mine! GDI and NOD have so many building exactly the same names and functions with slightly different looks. BORING! StarCraft's three races have all unique units of which can't be built unless playing as that race. Don't be fooled by the graphics, if have $30-50 bucks, get StarCraft instead of Tiberian Sun. If you own StarCraft, use the money on Brood War or whenever it comes out, StarCraft 2.

Summary: An abomonation
Review: If you are considering to buy this trash, I have one thing to say to you: DON'T DO IT!

This game is an abomanation! Westwood completely failed to present a game that was worth all the fuss they have been making about it. The units are nor interesting nor original. They are mainly Red Alert, Dune 2000 and C&C I units with a new design, or worse. The same goes for the buildings, save for the base defenses: they have become much worse since the last C&C. In short: except for what happens when your infantry stays too long in one of the orefields, nothing interesting has been added.

The campaigns are a laugh, only the first few missions from the NOD campaign are somewhat nice, but the rest... Same goes for the story, that part is simply horror beyond imagination The story presented in previous C&C games was absorbing and kept you playing the game until you dropped from exaustion and lack of sleep. Tiberian Sun makes it more easy on you: the story will put you to sleep within the first three minutes of playing the game. the main thing happening in the first part of the game is characters yelling that they are indeed alive, followed by other characters yelling that they refuse to believe that. As for the supposedly improved cutscenes? Well, yes, they have people like James Earl Jones in it now, but I think Darth Vader would be rolling in his grave if he knew what had become of the man who gave him his voice. Years from now, the actors will still be laughed at for appearing in this badly written piece of cheap junk.

For the rest, the music is very poor with only one or two tracks somewhat worth listening.

All in all, this is trully the worst game in Real-time-startegy history. I had more fun playing Dune 2.

Summary: This is the worst game ever
Review: This game is awful. The first time I played it it was fun. But that lasted 3 days! Don't waste your money, buy Red Alert it is so much better! Believe me the graphics might be good but that doesn't make it fun. I love stradegy games but this game is horrible!
