Summary: A decent game
Review: (...) Nox's opening sequence is rather fun to watch, as far as humor comes. Jack, an ordinary guy, is transported into a fantasy world with {of course} a great evil overbearing the land. That in itself is not unique, but not to worry. You get to choose what color of shoes he wears! Yes! I've waited so long for this!

There are 3 character classes. No, not Wizard, Thief, Warrior, but instead Wizard, Warrior, Conjurer. There are supposedly lots of weapons, but after beating it once of twice I found myself getting just about none of them. That's ok, really, you spend half the game looking for a more ideal weapon to fit your arsenal. And yes, of course, it is the only weapon you will probably ever use once you get it.

Online, if you don't have cable internet, get read yfor LAG. And this isn't just plain old lag, where things are kind of choppy, this means that you can't see ANY other players, or it is so choppy you will just scream in frustration, or both. Too many maps to download, too. Must admit, though, when you DO get to play, it is really fun. Better fights with more action than Diablo 2, or anything I have played so far.

It's easiest to win as a wizard, because once you get the invisibility spell the game's a snap. For the warrior, you must really be a master of your reflexes, because you have to master your skills to win. The conjurer is most fun to be, but I think also the hardest, because you can summon creatures to help you fight, but unfortunately, you don't get to summon things until the very end of the game. And here is the major drawback: The game is WAYY too short. Only 10 quests, and you can't play the game over again as the same character. You'll find yourself at the highest level, with lots of spells and weapons, and then suddenly, it's over, and you didnt get to use all your cool new stuff.

A bit of a dissapointment, but worth a shot.

Review: ahhh...finally, a game that has cooler voices, effects and slightly better graphics then Diablo II. This game is pretty fun. You can play as a warrior(the bad fighter), The conjurer(the gooy-goody necroman), And the wizard(the magical smarties). Each class can do spells(or in the warrior's case, skills) and can find books along the game to improve or learn new stuff (like death ray and the killer fist of vengance) and each class cannot do certain things, like the warrior cannot wear robes or use magic staves and conjurers cannot use most magic staves and the wizard cannot wear any armor. It's a great game, so come and dig in!

Summary: Fun game, worth the money...
Review: Allright, I bought this fairly dated game a few weeks ago in a bundle package with Final Fantasy VII for an extra low price. I figured "Two games, they sound good, can't go wrong!" Well, I was righter than rain. Nox is one of those few and far between games that is tons of fun, without being too complicated or involved. The single player storyline is fairly decent, and being able to play the same game three different ways is a big plus. The magic system is a kick to use, although the re-sorting and sifting through spells to use them on the fly while being killed by a berzerk gnome is absolutely no fun. However, the game usually makes up for it by being easy enough to overlook the fussy magic system. The game also offers quite a few downloadables from the web site, including a Gauntlet-style "arcade" mode that one or more people can play. The multiplayer mode, which even though I haven't played it, sounds quite unappealing. The game is too "arcadey" to begin with to warrant frenetic runnning around and dying 47 times a minute. I foresee being very frustrated by it. Overall, the game delivers a lot of fun, rich colorful graphics, FAST gameplay, and certainly won't dent your wallet. A good buy for mainstream gamers everywhere.

Summary: Manages to take the worst parts of both Diablo and Quake...
Review: and make something entirely not fun. This is NOT an RPG, it's a deathmatch fantasy action game. To it's credit, it has nice graphics and pretty good spell effects. Other than that it's Diablo without the originality, and Quake without the visceral adrenaline-pumping action. It's a dumb game, with a dumb concept, and no ground-breaking ideas to it's credit. Don't bother...

Summary: The best game I ever played
Review: I got this game out of a stores bargin bin and was amazed by it.

It does not require any 3D acceleration, all effects are done through MMX programming I believe its called and it looks great.

The game story is funny involving and at points pretty darn scary.

You get to play three different characters Wizard, Conjurer or straight ahead Fighter. For me the conjurer is the most fun and the ability to turn enemy monsters into henchmen fighting on your side is terrific.

If you decide to get it try to find the Strategy Guide - its loaded with 500 pages of tips, insights and has complete walkthroughs for all three characters.

And lastly this "little" game has the best user interface I have ever seen in any game period.

What a deal and a great game.

Review: I just bought a PC and was looking for a game to buy and I seen NOX for [money] so I decided to buy it because of westwood studios track record so I take it home thinking it an ok game but after playing it for a couple of min. I was hooked the controls were easy to pick up the pace of the game help you get used to the controls also the story is lite hearted which is kind of different in this day and age. One of the best features is that you have 3 different classes warrior, wizard, and conjurer each have thair own advatiges and disadvantiges and have a slightly different story the graphics are slightly above PS1 standards with great lighting effects. All in all this is a must buy for your PC library and why not it [money] you can go wrong. I have 2 new PS2 games and I play NOX more than any of them what are you still reading for buy the game !!
