Summary: Awesome game!
Review: I love this game! I got it last march when it came out and am still playing it. The graphics are great, the weapons rock, and the storyline is awesome. This is by far the best game I have played. I have not tested the full power of multiplayer because for one, I have a slow internet connection and two, I don't like to play on ... Microsoft's zone site.(I am a Linux user.) Buy this game!!! It ROCKS!!!

Review: This game is much better than Dark Forces 1 and 2. The lightsaber fighting is much more like the movie plus the grapics are much better. I recommend this to any star wars fan.

Summary: Incredible Game
Review: At first I thought this game couldn't compare to Jedi Knight - and I still think JK had better opening-level gameplay which created a more suspenseful and streamlined game universe.
However, after receiving the lightsaber, force powers, and some higher-end weapons, JO REALLY gets going. The lightsaber battles of JK were my least favorite part; now I look forward to them with a vengeance.
Kyle Kataran can do a stunning amount of moves, combos, and lightsaber stances, which makes using the weapon as powerful as you'd like (unlike JK, where there were basically 2 attacks).
For instance, when fighting a Reborn Jedi in Bespin, I let him charge me, did a somersault to the side while slashing, ran away towards a wall, did a backflip off the wall, ended up BEHIND the jedi, threw my lightsaber at him, did a side-stepping combo and tore him up. To finish it off, Jedi Outcast shows teh final blow in slow motion (sort of like max payne). It's an amazing ride. And i haven't even MENTIONED the force powers yet. Let's say, for instance, you wanted to suspend the jedi in a force grip hold, and THEN throw your lightsaber.
The fun never ends.
Enjoy.

Summary: Increddible-- Lucasarts at it's GREATEST!
Review: When I went on to [a website] and looked up this game i already was totally crazy about it, the way you can manipulate the force (run on walls lift people off the ground flips, rolls etc.) i just though "wow did it blow Jedi Knight 1 out of the water... which i thought was impossible. I got the game and have been going crazy with it.
Even the easiest setting was a challenge. The levels are extremely elaborate and very much like you are actually in the star wars universe it's self, more than any other game they've come out with. Onec you aquire your light saber there's no use in using any other weapon but it, it's powerful, elegant, and deadly, just the was George Lucas wanted it. Some levels are very puzzling, but to tell you the truth, puzzles take longer to do, rather than being impossible, the harder part is finding your way around. Level walthroughs off the internet should do you well. ...

Summary: A fantasy come true...
Review: Ever since the original Star Wars hit the cinema in 1977 I've wanted to duel with lightsabers. While that fantasy will have to wait until they are invented, here is a nice substitute.

As a first person shooter, it's excellent. But about 1/3rd of the way into it, you get a lightsaber, and this is what sets the game apart. I found that after you get the lightsaber there is no need for a gun(Truly a noble weapon for a more civilized age). You can slice through stormtroopers while blocking their fire, or simply stand there and let their shots be bounced off your saber and back at them! Using the saber in duels with other Jedi will take practice, but soon you'll be a Jedi master incorporating the powers of the force into every situation(you'll find that rearangement of the force buttons is a must, since you can't stop in the middle of a duel to reach for the F keys). Even when rockets are fired at you, just use force push to send them back their origin.

And the use of force powers is simply amazing, too many stormtroopers? Well just get within visual range of one of them, use the old Jedi mind trick and he'll fire on his fellow troops. And you haven't lived until you disarm a stormtrooper before crushing his throat with the force. :)

This is truly the best Star Wars game to date, and I hope to see the lightsaber tecniques used in many future games.

Summary: Great game, check your hardware.....
Review: this game is great but be careful on the system specs for the game, it sas you need a radion graphics card but i have a ATI Rage 128 and it works fine with some glitches. If you have a system with a radion or better go for it the game is great.

Summary: This game ROCKS.
Review: If I were limited to only one word to describe this game ... "Epic" would ALMOST cover it.

Like I say in the header, this game ROCKS. The Star Wars universe has never looked better, and it's never played better, either. It succeeds on every level. In fact, I would say it's even better than the original Jedi Knight, and that's a statement I never thought I'd make.

Lightsaber combat has never been so dizzyingly addictive as what you'll find here. Short of being cast for a part as a Jedi in Episode 3, this is the closest you'll ever come to George Lucas's brand of swashbuckling. The enemies are a widely varied lot, from Imperial stormtroopers and officers to alien mercenaries to the Force-sensitive Reborn, and you'll love every moment of fighting them. The boss enemies are challenging, but not impossible to beat. And the cameos in the form of Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian are a mind-blower, especially when you and Luke are fighting side-by-side.

Buy this game. You won't regret it, and it's money well-spent. I can't say it any clearer than that, so let's put it up in big letters:

BUY THIS GAME!

Summary: This game is the best i have seen in a long time
Review: First, I have to say that this is quite easily the best LucasArts game I've encountered, and playing in the Star Wars universe with superb graphics and a wonderful game engine is a joy. A lot of work was clearly put into the visual aspects of the game in particular, and I'd normally give it 5 stars for being one of the best first-person-shooters I've encountered, especially when using lightsabers and various aspects of the Force as a Jedi (push, speed, mind-tricks, etc.) are taken into account.

However, this is easily the most unnecessarily frustrating game I've played to date, and I don't think it was tested thoroughly. The amount of time spent backtracking through areas previously explored to find some box that wasn't shot enough times or some hidden button to press to affect something far later in gameplay is maddening. I can't tell you the number of times I've spent extreme periods of time to "find" something (or had to look through a "walkthrough") in order to progress, consistently saying "how the heck was I supposed to figure THAT out". Most games (e.g., Return to Castle Wolfenstein or Serious Sam: Second Encounter) will "shut off" areas no longer relevant, or keep crucial buttons and things somewhat near to where they relate. This one frequently doesn't do that.

This game is a must-play, especially if you're a Star Wars fan or someone who enjoys superb graphics work. It's lost two stars in my book for the unusually high frustration factor though, and I'd warn anyone playing it they're VERY likely to need to find an internet game-guide/walkthrough unless they like spending hours figuring things out by prolonged trial-and-error. If you have patience to spare, Jedi Outcast is a strong recommendation.

Summary: Different but really good!!
Review: The weapons are cooler the missions are longer(and harder). This is not your tpyical first person shooter of "Blow stuff up". Stratagy plays a large part and most of the missions are quite challenging. The enemy is smarter and more ruthless and smarter then in the previous games. Although they sometimes still manage to do dumb stuff that baffles the mind. There was one incident where I only had 20 helth left and the 6 guys behind this one door came at me 1 at a time. Now only a computer would ever think that was clever. You ca preety much have a lot of fun with this game The force powers are wonderful and the movements precise (this was not the case in DF 2) you have force speed, force jump, force heal Force Lightning and epic lightsaber Duels(in fact this is pretty mucha ll you do in the multiplayer modes because if you go after 16 other guys armed with lightsabers with a blaster rifle you will die.) I mean you just wouldn't die the other players will mop the floor with you.My impression - I liked this game a whole lot but it seemed to me that that the game was really scripted at some points too focused on a linear completion of the mission. The most striking example of this is the first mission where (with the learning curve) I wandered around for almost 2 hours looking for the stupid code keys. Then having found the code keys a door was opened. Even though the mission technicallly ended at that point you were still only halfway through.Conclusion-Don't let peety compliants such as this keep you from buying the game it was stil very fun
