Summary: Pretty but dumb
Review: Once again, this is a case of developers putting all their time and dollars into great graphics. Forget plotting, realistic AI or non-buggy gameplay. Look cool and those moronic gameplayers will buy it before the word gets around that its a bad game.
The most insulting thing about the game is the limited saves. By doing this they take away how the player wants to play. It should be totally up to the player whether or not to repeat the same routine again and again and again until he has learned the precise combinations of crawl, shoot and duck that some incompetent programer deemed the only right way to go. Buy Hitman 2 if you want to see how a sequel should be made.

Summary: Waited a long time for this game was worth the wait
Review: People have been complaining about the acuracy of David's shooting, give me a break yes it is a harder game but come on the last game you were able to shoot 1000 yards with a pistol I Dont think so. great graphics, closer to real then most games. i only rated it a 4 cause i like others wish you could in game save more times but hey it makes you think a little harder who wants to save your way threw a game, i mean really whats the fun if you can save after you move 10 feet then save again give me a break... very challenging Love It

Summary: Perfect Game for Masochists
Review: There is a lot wrong with this game - awkward movement, imprecise aiming, idiotic AI, and lots of bugs. However the worse thing of all is that you get the feeling that you are being manipulated.
It's like you have no control or real involvement in the game. You simply have to repeat a sequence of move, stop, kill, move, stop, wait... again and again until you hit on the exact sequence the programer predetermined. Making this worse, saves are very limited (3 on the normal level)so frustration quickly sets in.
I have reached the 13th level and decided that this was just not my idea of having fun. Now I'm sorry I didn't uninstall it sooner. I could have spent that time playing a good game like Hitman 2, Thief II, SOF 2 or just about any other game.

Summary: A complete waste of time.
Review: This game should be called IGC: "I'm Going Crazy".
This game is'nt hard for any legitimate reasons. Anyone can build a budget game that has a buggy save system, the main character's aim is so bad it seems like he just stopped drinking the day before the first mission started and enemies that can cut you down with a pistol from orbit. But this is supposed to a high quality game! Buy Soldier of Fortune, Splinter Cell or Ghost Recon instead.

Summary: Stick with IGI 1 - Jones is Bugged in IGI 2
Review: While the game may work for me, I'm very dissatisfied with the graphic flickering. I would imagine that this would be IGI 1 and that the original IGI would be IGI 2 learning from your mistakes - not creating them in the next release!

IGI 1 runs perfectly smooth and is highly playable and fun. I still repeat the game every so often (with the trainer in GOD mode of course - for those of you unfamiliar of "trainers," they are applications written by coders who manipulate data in memory that affects the game - in the case of IGI in "GOD" mode - you are undefeatable + have unlimited AMMO. Just do a search on google for "igi 2 trainer") And apparently from the gameplay in IGI 2 - you'll need GOD mode!

My Specs are:

512 MB KINGSTON DDR 2600 ECC RAM
Athlon XP 1700
IBM UltraStar SCSI 18 GB HD
ABIT KR7A-133
Win2k - SP3
nVIDIA RIVA TNT2 (I know - a bit outdated - but if IGI 1 can be played flawlessly on that card, there should be a way of designing the game to run on older cards as well without this problem, otherwise the cost of ownership for your game would be over $200 [game/new vid card])

I found a cheat trainer for this game and made it to level 2 - however I stopped playing the game thereafter because it was distracting (the graphic flicker.) And if this is a frame rate issue, (I'm not sure) I noticed that this game gets me very DiZZy - like Doom and related titles - however, with IGI 1, I felt just slightly off whack after 2 hours or more of play - but not like this. I feel disoriented - but not to the extent that Doom and other get - sort in the middle ground. I hope that their maybe a service pack for this game in the future, but if not, I will not buy another IGI sequel again and most likely will sell this game on ebay and go back to my IGI 1 and Microprose's Falcon 4.

Well, not much more I can say other then thanks for the effort in this, but I'll just stick with IGI 1 and hold my breathe until the end june for a Service Pack before someone gets a great deal on it on ebay.

All the best!
