Summary: A very fun and exciting game.
Review: Half-life is the best pc game I have ever played. even though it is rated mature, I(a twelve year old)have purchased this game and I feel that Half-life is over-rated.

I have read other reviews and I do not see why people would say this game is educational. I have beaten Half-life and from Black Mesa Inbound to End Game, I do not recall very much education. That's probabably because it's all made up.

As I said, I have beaten Half-life and every level is extremly exciting except the first one(it's more of an intro). It is a very good level, but the more you play it, the more boreing it gets.

Summary: Half-life,deemed one of the best games of '98, is incredible
Review: i enjoyed hours of alien blasting fun while playing one of the most realistic and challenging games ive ever played...Half-life. i liked the intricate movements and particle effects of this award winner. i was also intrigued by the interesting and scientific story line that was acommpanied by great mood changing music.Although rather violent, i found it to be rather educational and i learned a few things, about physics and material decomposition.I still believe that Half-life is the best game i have ever tried.

Summary: a dawn of a new era of 1st person shooters
Review: To all of you who think this is just your standard, run-of-the-mill doom/quake clone, you are dead wrong. This game has great AI, beautiful and realistic graphics, and varied levels. The Team Fortress Classic add-on you can download is also very fun for playing online.

Summary: Why Half Life is the best computer game
Review: I think that Half Life is the best computer game thats ever been made. If you likeed Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 you will like Half Life much better. It has meany diffrent levels and has meany diffrent weapons, it also has multiplayer over the internet. If you don't like the graphics on Half Life you should get a 3DFX Card (witch Amazon.com has in the electronics section). You don't half to take my word for it, but if you do you will be vary pleased (note : this game contanes violance such as blood and guts).

Summary: Action gaming at it's best! A must-buy for action game fans!
Review: I must say, this truly was the Game of the Year in 1998. The Hazard Course which trained you in how to play the game was extremely well done, the begining cutscene left me numb with awe, in fact the whole game was dynamic! My favorite parts in the game were when you wouuld stumble across a group of rival enemies battling with other people, and they kill each other and save you the trouble! What's best is that there are other people in the game to help you, so you have others to help you fight (except the scientists, they just draw bullets to themselves like magnets). All in all, I highly reccomend it, but don't buy it just yet! *Wait for the Game of the Year edition!* It contains updates to the original and if you don't get it, you'll have to waste hours downloading the updates off the internet.

Summary: W O W !
Review: the one word that sum this game up is Realism, they shoulda named it "real-life", with life-like details and conditions in the game. not only does it have regular half-life multiplayer, but also includes team fortress classic once you update the game with valve's patch. the only thing remotely wrong with it is lack of built-in modem play option. if you have a Local Area Network at home, you HAVE to get this game to entertain your friends. It is so much fun than just doom and quake, not only will it change your view about 3d action shooter games, you will be bragging about it just like i am.

Summary: Half-Life should have a half life of a million years...
Review: The game develops like a well writen novel and the characters are expanded on. The weapons are realistic and the monsters' intelligence is truly frightening. Using a 3D accelerator the game takes your breath away. The individual scientists are moody and helpful as are the security guards that are trying to survive in a complex web of treachery and deceit. Most definitely one of my favourite games... well... ever. BUY IT DAMN IT!

Summary: VERY Cool!!!
Review: It made me feel like I was actually walking around the research lab, and I felt like I was actually fighting aliens. Even with my 120 MHz computer, and withought a 3D accelerator. I would put this in my top 3 (out of around 50 I have at home) favorite computer games.
