Summary: If you like 3/4 view role play games this is for you!
Review: I really enjoy role playing games but despise heads-up shoot-em-up games. Baldur's Gate and II both give you solid role playing, good adventures, and a nice overhead view. Make certain that you download the latest patch for the best play possible.

Summary: Not a good game!
Review: I spent so much for this game thinking the graphics would be as people have stated, what a joke! This is a game that looks as though it was devrived from the early 90's! With the tech now graphics could have been better for the money! I rather spend my time playing the old Dungens and Dragons then wasting time on this boring game! I regret buying it, I wish I could return it!!! I hope this helps you make the right chose on buying this game ;)

Summary: A WONDERFUL, MASTERPIECE OF A GAME
Review: If you love the Dungeons and Dragons worlds, if you love fantasy, role play, and a great story line chock full of humor, fun, romance mystery and adventure, then this is the game for you! I played it twice, and I loved it both times. Now my wife is addicted to it ^_^

Summary: This is not D&D
Review: This game is not D&D. The whole thing is too open ended. There is no real purpose. I quit this game in less than a week. If you play D&D go buy Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor. Now there is a D&D game. Not this.

Summary: The Best RPG to date
Review: Baldur's Gate 2 is the most incredible RPG game on the market for now. This game beats the original which was a spectacular game into the ground which is really saying something. I played the original and expansion twice through and then started playing EverQuest and then went back to playing this, and let me tell you something if youve ever thought of playing a game like that dont. Games like EverQuest have no plot and get monotonous after a very short period of time stick with RPGs like Baldur's Gate 2.

Summary: Zarok- never liked this type of game til this came along
Review: WOW!!! I played many RPG games with the AD&D style but i found them, just too long to complete boring puzels. But in this game if U realy want to just want to stick to the main plot and finish the game U can. BUT if U one of those people with patients there ane so many sub-plots to the game U will be hooked for ages. DEFINITELY ONE OF THE MOST ADDICTIVE RPG GAMES U will ever play!!!!

Summary: Well done
Review: I would rank this game one full star higher if not for a few bothersome things:
1) Iomen won't shut up (I don't CARE about NATURE! SHUT IT!)
2) The incesent FMV sequences whenever you sleep that cause this game to be a:
3) HARD DRIVE HOG!! 1.47gb is redicoulous! I unistalled this from one of my PC's and put three games in it's place with space leftover.
4) Somewhat heavy on the micromanagement
5) Learning curve for beginners or those unfamiliar with AD&D play (Like me)

Things I like:
1) Really cool soundtrack (I wish they'de put out a CD, in fact)
2) Lots of neat-o weapons and spells to mess with
3) Good graphics for an RPG game
4) You can make party members go away (Unlike the very similar IceWind Dale, which I also own)
5) Stable game. I've done all sorts of things in this game that should have caused the Blue Screen of Death to appear, but BGII chugged on.

All in all, I like this game. I only wish that it had been tweeked a little to decrease the learning curve and rather steep hardrive requirements.

Summary: Far better than it's predecessor...
Review: Baldur's Gate was a superb game, but Shadows of Amn improved upon it very significantly.
The gameplay was made considerably harder as new adversaries, some of whom are ridiculously powerful, are added, along with nastier traps and puzzles. To the gamer's advantage are many new NPCs, as well as some old ones, a whole plethora of new items, more specialized abilities, new character kits and a few new classes to choose from.
There are many new areas to explore and conquer, dragons to face, and lives (chiefly your own) to be saved.
Incidentally, I highly reccomend the Monk character...truly a unique and enjoyable character to play as.

Summary: Good Roleplay
Review: This game is as good as Baldur's Gate, maybe even better, it's fun, bigger, and it gives lot's of hours to delve into this magnificent word.
