Summary: Most Fun
Review: I won't say this is the best game I've ever played, but it is the most fun. I'm not a kid, I'm in my twenties, and I love the books. I was able to finish this game pretty fast, but I still continue to play it again and again because it is so much fun. It stays very true to the spirit of Harry Potter, if not the book itself. The only thing I found disappointing is that Harry does everything, so there's not much interaction with Ron or Hermione for instance.

Summary: Only Recommend for Kids and Harry Potter Faithful
Review: I've played plenty of PC games over the last decade and if you asked me to give you an honest appraisal of Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone compared to other current games, the game probably wouldn't rank that high. But... you're talking to a hardcore Harry Potter fan who read each book at least three times and viewed each movie just as often. In other words, you're talking to a Potter fanatic so it's difficult to give an honest opinion of this game. Truthfully, it's probably an average title with gameplay similar to an easier Tomb Raider, only Hogwarts castle replaces Lara Croft's latest ancient ruin. In the Sorcerer's Stone, you control Harry Potter as he explores Hogwarts in a linear story that allows him to meet all his professors, train in all popular spells from the books and movies, practice plenty of broomstick acrobatics and quidditch heroics, and still follow the course of the original story. If I had any complaints about the PC version it would be that the game is difficult to control with a mouse/keyboard and the graphics weren't improved much over the console versions. It's one of those games that you can tell was meant for a console controller and although I believe the second Harry Potter game (The Chamber of Secrets) may allow a gamepad, the first game unfortunately does not. It sounds like some of the actors in the movies voice their video game characters, but not many, and all famous Potter characters look like their movie versions although the game does draw a little bit of story and scenery from the books as the movie probably didn't provide enough content. Popular movie franchises such as Star Wars and Star Trek have seen plenty of poor gaming spin-offs so I'm sure Harry Potter will see it's fair share of subpar games. Hopefully, one day we'll get a super Harry Potter game, but this will have to do for all Potter fans until the next book or movie.

Summary: Harry Potter rocks!
Review: My whole family LOVES this game. It is interesting and enjoyable. Some parts are more challenging (flying) than others and there's lots of places to explore. I'm still finding new things and I've played it many times!

Summary: Harry Potter-The Best!!
Review: This game has been lots of fun for our family. Our kids are 8, 6 and 4 years old. We play it so much we have to limit the time or else we would play it all day!! Some time our dad gets up at night and plays it. He was so happy when he finally got past Professor Quirrel! Me and my dad got past Lord Voldemort (He who must not be named) playing together! We enjoyed Fred and George's surprize for Prof. Snape! We are going to buy Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets next! We played it so much that we sometimes copy what the people on the game say. For example, my son is a perfect little Gnome!

Review: this is a pretty good game overall but some parts are really poorly designed or just annoying. you start out with a set of still pictures that fill you in on the backstory. (how harry is where he is what happened to his parents etc etc) when you enter the gameplay dumbledore blabs at you a bit and then you follow ron up the stairs to go to a tutorial with fred and george. the things that bugged me the most are the fact that you could just fall through a solid floor to your death. i am missing one wizard card and it is in the lumos challenge somewhere. you have spell challenges for every new spell you learn. the best part of the game is where you are delivering norbert to charlies friends and filch is running allover trying to stop you from getting in the tower. the graphics are fairly good besides the fact that ron is still smiling when he has his leg torn into by the chessboard, and hermione never really puts her books down. at 30buckswhen it came out it was WAAAAAYYY to much money but ten bucks is pretty good i think. it kept me busy for four hours which i would have been watching spme movie over again.........
