Summary: Not Bad
Review: Not bad; the best since FIFA 98 RTWC...Cheezy that they leave out the actual World Cup; rather the game just allows World Cup Qualifying (although the Custom tournament mode allows fo rthe creation of a World Cup, but the lack of African teams disturbs me greatly...again, though, I can "create" them too if I want...all this is because, like EA's World Cup 98, they will be putting out a game just prior to World Cup 2002 that will focus upon the teams and venuew fro specifically World Cup...but still...)the graphics are okay; with a GeForce 3 they are superb. Crowd reactions were supposed to be revamped; if they were, I don't really see it. Gameplay is very good, except that the passing model, while much better, is a little artificially achieved in that one must be at one of the eight gamepad angles to effectively deliver a pass (no analog). Other than that, the adjustability of the experience is a key update. Not bad; much MUCH better than FIFA 2000 and 2001.

Summary: Same old stuff
Review: My main grudge against the game is AI that isn't playing by the same rules as a human player. Almost any pass AI makes is on target, so the new revolutionary passing system is nothing more but a AI cheat. AI defenders always run as fast as my strikers even if their speed rating is twice less. Marking is unheard of, my defenders stand around like dummies and wouldn't even attempt to make a tackle on their own. Defending against the corners is impossible (again what happened to marking of FIFA 2001??), as well as free kicks,and so on. This list can go on forever.
Don't buy this game, unless of course you like playing a cheating AI.

Summary: WOW, a hole other ball game!
Review: No punn intended, but this time around they really revamped the game. The style of play has changed, now you don't need to do the bicycle kick anymore more in order to score, matter of fact attempting one is not easy. Also the passing game is a hole other story...its not easy, but once you figure it out its a whole lot more fun. The realism in this game is quite unreal. The player movement has much improved. Shooting goals has taken on a new face, now you can do beautiful long and short shots, soft touches and nerve recking lobs...its as if I was watching it on TV. I love football (thats how we call it in europe...what is soccer anyways), and I salut any effort to bring the game into my house on such a level. Keep going EASports!

Summary: Better stick with FIFA2001
Review: Here is why this game was very disappointed to me:
1. Killer graphics only from close shots, if you play the game using tower or panoramic camera which I use so I can see more playground you'll see very poor graphics.
2. They say "PASS WITH POWER AND ACCURACY", every time I pass the ball don't go any more to the player I inteded to like FIFA2001, I don't see any accuracy in the new passing system. Also I don't see any fun of that pressing the button 1 ms more will make your pass or shoot very strong!!
3. The stupid auto replay system in FIFA2002 is auto replaying every single foul or offside or anytime the game stops, in FIFA2001 it was replaying only the goals.
4. They have almost all Asian teams and they added teams that are really very very weak, while they added only 4 or 5 teams from Africa!! Where is Egypt, Senigal, Algeria, Zambia, and others? I think they're much stronger than Nipal and India!! After playing this game for few days I uninstalled it and reinstalled FIFA2001, it's much much better game. I really regret buying this game and thinking seriously of selling it online as used game :(

Review: This was an exceptionally bad game. The only good part is watching Michael Owen bloody screw up time and time again. He too is rubbish. Not even close the to talents of Thierry Henry or Kevin Phillips for that matter. Don't buy this garbage.

Summary: Not Perfect, but a Big Improvement
Review: As soon as I insalled this game, I rushed through the opening screens, set the skill level to WORLD CLASS, and quickly began a friendly match. The game began and I found that, for once, I might need to read the instruction manual. The number of changes that have been made since FIFA 2001 is astronomical. It is now easy to send players on runs to a corner or towards the goal, and then feed them the perfect through ball. Another change makes give-and-go passes brutally effective if used in the right situation. This new passing system is even better than that of FIFA 98, which I found quite effective. Another pleasent surprise is the way the goalkeepers behave. They can no longer reach any corner of the goal in a split-second. The last time I can remember scoring a long-range goal, I was playing FIFA 98. Now, there are frequent chances to shoot from outside the box. The goalkeepers in FIFA 2002 also appear to be smarter than before, running out of the box for a loose ball if no team-mates are near. Probably the best change from FIFA 2001, is that a power bar is now used for every pass, lob, and shot, giving the player more control over the game than ever. Unfortunately, there are some dissapointments. Only 75 licenced national teams are included. Player numbers are used instead of names for the other 100 national teams. A big letdown is that only teams from four confederations are playable in World Cup Qualification Mode. If you want to play a World Cup with teams from Africa or Oceania, you'll have to create a custom tournament, and only a few of these teams are even included in the game. Another problem is that gameplay can sometimes get a bit unrealistic. Too many shots hit the goalposts and computer opponents score from corner kicks too often. The commentators can also be an annoyance. John Motson seems to make no effort at pronouncing player names correctly, and Andy Gray's dialogue is unintelligible more often than not. Overall, this game is probably the most realistic FIFA game yet, and one of the most enjoyable. Often, when watching a soccer game on TV, I'll say to myself, "I scored a goal exactly like that on the computer!" Realism isn't everything, though. The game doesn't re-capture the World Cup atmosphere of FIFA 98, and I have a feeling that I'll still be playing that game for years to come.

Summary: Arsenal FC, liverpool blows
Review: the game is good, i think better than fifa 2001 in some aspects. In 2002 you capture all bone crunching tackles and I love beating liverpool when I am Arsenal, I just get this thrill to see Owen tank it.

Review: With no doubt the best fifa game is fifa 99 which is fast and fun. If you are looking for a more complicated game this is the one for you because it's easy to plan complicated passes and stuff here. It's a very fun game and yet it fails to meet the standerts of fifa 99
