Summary: You're the Star (or Victim) in an Intense Horror Movie
Review: ... This is one tense, scary game. Not scary in the slasher sort of way, but scary in the intense, suspensful, what-horrible-ungodly-thing-is-going-to-jump-out-at-me-next-in-this-dark-family-crypt sort of way. And it's a lot of fun because you get a palpable sense that you're shooting and spellcasting for your survival, not just because it's a shooter. If you can bear the suspense and fear (and enjoy it), get this game. It's a bargain now, and better than most full-priced shooters, mystery, or adventure games.

Summary: Whisper: "Look around."
Review: 4.5 stars. Man, do I want to give this game 5 stars! But...there are some problems. Can you say "crash?" When playing, most of the time I am scared and jumping out of my office chair. This is a really creepy game! But once in a while I go through a door and the dreaded "Loading" page pops up and I am wondering if I will have to go back to the "saved games" area to continue my adventure from there. To reduce my anxiety I save the game each and every time after a "Loading" page brought me back to the game. It is a pain, to be sure, but this game is worth it. There was a review here that was griping about saving a game and then the game sending him back to the very beginning of said location(s). There is a trick to saving the game at an exact moment and place. Push "Esc" and go to the "Load/Save" section and delete the previous saved game(make sure the entire page is empty), then save the game you are playing. Be sure to only have one saved game at a time because this is a seriously annoying glitch in the game frame. There is one last annoying factor in the game. It is that using any other spell besides "Scrye" is next to impossible because the locations are so incredibly dark that I had to use that spell almost constantly in most areas. Now for all the positives! There are great, eerie sound effects that gave me constant chills; and I had to remind myself that this is only a game. I was backing into corners frequently, rapidly looking left and right for attackers. You can save the game at any point, which is great, but be sure to remember to "delete" the previous saved game before saving the new one. I laughed at one point because I actually jumped from my chair at a loud crash of lightning. One area was so dark (be sure to have that "Scrye" spell handy), and I was so nervous about being attacked, that when the character's hand moved I thought I was being attacked. There was one awesome point in the game when I was running down a hallway toward a large mirror when from behind me, rising out of the floor, a demon reached out to attack me from behind! Ahhhh! What a fantastic moment! Oh...you're gonna love the shotgun! Be sure to save your "Health Packs," and be careful with that dynamite! If not for the monotony of "scrying" everywhere, the rare "Loading" crash, and the small nuisance of saving the game so often, this is an extremely satisfying and genuinely scary game. I kid you not. If they ever make a sequel without the bugs that inhibit the original from attaining greatness I will seek it out with fervor. This is an addicting, fun, chilling game. One last note: If you find yourself in a pitch-black catacomb at one point in the game with about ten animated skeleton warriors coming after you, do the smart thing...run for your life! Take it easy.

Review: Being a fan of Clive Barker, I was very anxious to see what Undying had to offer. Well, I played the demo once, and actually had nightmares about it -- a clear indication that I had to have the full game!I was not disappointed, either. This is the most frightening game I've ever played, and I've played a lot of games. With creepy atmosphere, eerie settings, chilling sound effects, dark storyline, and horrific adversaries, Clive Barker's Undying offers solid scares that just don't let up. For fans of the genre, this game is a must-have!

Summary: An "Undying" Classic!
Review: Clive Barker's Undying is a terrific break-the-mold-FPS. The plot, which involves an evil curse on a family and their mansion, will satisfy anyone who enjoys story-oriented FPS games. Any fans of H.P. Lovecraft will be pretty impressed too--the game borrows heavily from the author. The visuals are a real treat-dark,gothic,and often unsettling. This is one to play with the lights out! I can't think of any other game that had me this on edge and creeped out! Ambient sounds and music are great too. If you're one of those people that loved the flow of "Half-Life" and the jump-out-of-your-seat moments of "Resident Evil", this one's for you!

Review: Clive Barkers Undying looks like it would be fun to play, but I'll never know because my computer uses Savage video driver. The two products simply will not get along.

Summary: Reminded me of the Exorcist. WARNING: SCARY!
Review: I bought this game along with American McGee's Alice. Alice wouldn't install correctly, so while I got my technical support I played Clive Barker's Undying. This game is scary beyond belief. I STARTED GETTING NIGHTMARES AFTER ONE NIGHT OF PLAYING. This is a sign of a great game. I haven't finished, but this game almost makes my not want to play the game. The atmosphere, music, and the edge-of-your-seat suspense make this scarier than any movie I have seen except for the Ring and the Exorcist. One thing that really scares you especially is when you hear a little voice that whispers "look" and you use your scrye spell. When you use your scrye spell, you see.... I won't tell you, but it's creepy. Overall, recommended for horror buffs. If you buy the game, don't play it in the dark.

Summary: Holy cow! I'm just doggone scared!
Review: I never believed that a video game on a computer screen could scare me like this one did. The story is amazing, the graphics are awesome, and the sound effects are the scariest thing I have ever heard. This game completely blew my mind. I have played it all the way through at all difficulty levels. A game you can keep coming back to. If you play this game at night with the lights off and the volume up, you'll need to clean your shorts within ten minutes. Leave it to Clive Barker!

Summary: The closest thing I've played to an interactive movie
Review: I really love this game. Unlike other FPS which usually rely on a really shallow plot ( caught in a dungeon, spaceship etc must shoot my way out ), it lives on a very deep story that draws you in and makes you want to find out what happens next. The graphics are amazing and creepy and so is the sound. another thing I like is that the characters in this game both the good and bad guys comes across as three dimensional and not cardboard cutouts only good for cannon fodder. So if you really want something different from all the other mindless millions of FPS out there then try this.

Review: I was really looking forward to playing this game since I saw the previews on my Alice Game. I am utterly beside myself.
This is NOT the platform this game needs. Unless you have the ULTIMATE GAMING PC, DO NOT GET THIS GAME!
I feel that this game would be best in an actual Game platform, like PS2 or XBox or something like that.
I was tooling along tonight, and WHAM! The game shut off, due to errors that were preformed. BAH! Of course I am running it at the lowest graphic intense setting, so this doesn't really surprise me.
So here I sit, wallowing in my misery. This game would Rawk if it was in a different format.
There is a lot of conversation that goes on, and you can't really move past it like you can in other games, so that kind of stinks. The one feature I did enjoy though, was that you could save the game as you went, that is always a big factor for me.
So -
Don't get this game if you have a sucky system. Only get this game if it is specifically set up for gaming, but even then, it might not work. My husbands system is set up for gaming, because well, that is his life. But I digress...
Use caution, and really think about it before you go spend bucks on this game... Really...
