Rating: Summary: everquest rocks Review: everquest its self is a good game but this is its worst expansion. the add ons for instance the new charcter looks and spells are nice. but the luclin is the worst place it can be dark for weeks and weeks. monsters there are all undercons. so its very dangous. and anless u have a nice computer the lag is annoying so i stick to the rest of everquest.
Rating: Summary: Luclin: Worth The Cost? Review: In the many months since this title was added to the EQ lineup it has in fact significantly changed the virtual world of Norrath.I think one of the things about it that matters most is the fundamental shift in the virtual economy it created. You see in EQ you can buy and sell and practice trade skills with other players. Before this expansion you had to hang out in a common locality and basically spam all other players in that zone to sell your wares. This expansion introduces "the bazaar" which changes all that. You can park a character there turn on the trading feature and you are the merchant, you can walk away for hours which many do. It's had a significant impact on our server actually driving prices down and making the items that make a more playable character more readily available and accessible. So just on the trade skills and trading alone I think it is worth it. Then there are the zones and the Vah Shir. I admit to being a cat person and playing a cat person on EverQuest :) There is a huge area added in the moon zones, so much so there are 4 CDs in the expansion and the cat people race is just plain cool in my opinion. Not that I have anything against the frog people mind you, I just think being a lion man is more appealing than being a tadpole :) JK. At first I was skeptical because of the laggishness in some zones but I solidly recommend it now and they have fixed many of the early role out issues.
Rating: Summary: Graphically awesome but not so great Review: When I first got this game I was blown away by the graphics and the sound. Dont buy this game unless you like forking out a ton of money to upgrade. I will list the pros and cons for this game. Pros: You only spend about 33 cents to play this game everyday. You can play this game almost non-stop, except on patch day. You will not have a craving to play any other games You wont have to worry about whats on your 700 channels of cable. You can tell 80,000 people about your borring...life, over and over and over again. cons: You will not be able to tell what day it is. You will most likely lose someone close to you. You will gain a ton of weight from sitting on your [butt] all day and night. You will not be able to have a normal conversation with anyone without bringing up everquest. You will build up a body smell that would make 12th century pesants vomit. You may think this is funny but it is a compulsive disorder, it is a diease, a social diease that you will have a hard time beating.
Rating: Summary: Wait until bugs are ironed out!!! Review: This latest expansion to EQ is nothing but trouble. Go check out the Everquest message boards (...) The game has been down for two days now awaiting fixes for this newest expansion. Not to mention in order to SEE any of this expansion Sony suggests you have 512MB RAM and a 64MB Video card, but only a select few video cards will work! Customer service is non-existant, spend your money on something else.
Rating: Summary: EverQuest (aka-EverSmack) Review: Yes all this they say is true about EverQuest(aka-EverSmack),you will turn non-social, you will spend most of your time thinking about EQ and playing it, or you will have alittle bit of control and say, ENOUGH is ENOUGH! Although,if you think about it, how could a cheap, no good, game do all this to someone? That means it must be a (GREAT) GAME, so I say you go out there buy it right NOW, and play till your eyes hurt!Hey we live and die, and alittle suffering in the middle, WHY waist it? So suck up thoughs sob stories 'Oh,I lost my marriage.Oh,my live is gone now' and do something worth doing. please! P
Rating: Summary: EQ is the greatest game ever Review: All I can say, especially after some recent attempts by competitors, is that if you don't love eq, you won't love any MMORPG. It is the most incredible, endless online adventure you could hope to have, with a million challenges and a million ways to play. You will meet a ton of people, some of which will be annoying, but many who will end up being friends. No one is "addicted" to everquest. Some people are weak-willed, can't stop themselves from doing things that are counterproductive or that help you procrastinate. This is not the fault of the game. Everquest is just so fun to play and has so much to it, you are going to want to play it a lot. Be warned.
Rating: Summary: WARNING!!!! Review: The requirements for this game have changed recently. The new requirements are: Shadows of Luclin Required Specs: Windows® 98/2000/ME/XP Pentium® II 400Mhz or greater 256 MB RAM 16 MB Direct3D compliant video card DirectX 8.0 compatible sound card 28.8k (or faster) Internet connection 4X speed CD-ROM 450 MB+ hard drive space As you can see, it no longer supports the Windows 95 Platform (...). (...) This said, I am still giving the game 4 stars, even though I have not yet recieved my copy of Luclin. The stars are for the amount of fun I have had with the previous versions of EQ. It is a really absorbing, and fun game. I enjoy the interaction with others in game, and my experiences have been pleasant for the most part. I have recently purchased Dark Age of Camelot, but will continue to play EQ and to enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Dont Play This Game.... Review: This game is ok but very dull. I wish people would stop palying it for a moment and look at a surperior game. The game I'm talking about is Lineage... Its fun, creative and a heck of a lot better than Everquest ever will be. Go (...) see for yourself. Everquest invloves alot of waiting around while Lineage is a perfect blend of wainting and combat. Lineage has a friendly community. (...)So thsi is alot better than Everquest why not give it a shot? (...)
Rating: Summary: EQ is much more than just "leveling up" Review: I've played EverQuest since the phase 4 beta test, something like 2.5 years or so ago (maybe longer). No other game has ever held my attention for that long, so to say that "you will only get bored" with it is a bit misleading. You get out of it what you put into it. EQ is a community. You can interact with people from all over the world and make some very good friends (selectively, of course). Joining a guild is a great experience, provided it's a good guild. The idea is to have a group of friends whom you can banter around with, group with reliably, share equipment, etc. It really adds a great dynamic to the fundamental game. (...). On the surface, EQ is largely a two dimensional game, but if you really dig into it you'll find that it's vastly three dimensional. It simply requires effort and desire. I'm hopelessly addicted to EQ. Yes, I've had to put it asside now and again and take a "break" from it, but I always come back. It's the best entertainment I can find (...), and it lasts much longer than a dinner and movie.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This game is simply amazing! Its fun for all ages, seriously. Anyone as young as 7 can understand how to play and enjoy it, but only those mature and patient enough will make it to lvl60. It may sound boring, all you do IS level up, but it seriously cannot compare to any other game on the market. Its simply on the next level.
