Summary: An old classic
Review: Its ridiculous. There are 8 games in the Need For Speed series. 8! Count them! And yet I've only played two, this one and its forefather Need For Speed 2. That's right. No High Stakes. No Hot Pursuit 2. I saw someone else playing Underground once, but that's about it. I can't believe that the sequels to one of my all-time favourite games are yet untouched by me. But there could be a very good reason - that I love this game so much and still play it regularly today that I've never had any need to update. That and my old computer was crap.

But since getting a new computer and sticking an ATi Radeon graphics card in it, I've been getting back into gaming, and the first game I fired up was this. You can ignore the fact that was the only game I actually took with me to university, although maybe that in itself is saying something. I mean, I've just bough Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Halo Combat Evolved but I'm still playing this. The racetracks are some of the best I've played, the graphics still look pretty nifty today (you can imagine my amazement when I first the demo for the game back in 1998) and the Hot Pursuit thing was/is just incredible fun.

Lets be realistic - there's really no chance that anyone's gonna buy this old game now. Others have come since and they're all under a tenner as well. I saw Need For Speed Underground in a shop for £10 already, and that's the 7th in the series! In fact, on Amazon.co.uk (yes, I'm a Brit) this game was going used for penny. Yes, once pence. Search for it (if you can be arsed). But I felt like writing this anyway, because I can't believe I'm playing this game still loving it even more than I ever did. Oh, the memories.

Summary: The Best Game I Ever Played
Review: Need for Speed 3 is the best game I ever played. It has awesome graphics and great gameplay. In Pursuit mode you can race against others and become "Most Wanted" at the same time. I reccomend this game for everyone. It is truly a fun and thrilling experience.

Summary: The Perfect Racing Game
Review: Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit is surely one of the best games for PC. There are many cars to choose from, and if you don't like any car from the list, you can download a new one from the internet!

The gameplay is really challenging, making this game highly addictive and fun. The graphics are pretty good, too. Yeah, they're not the best, but still good. The cars look extremely life-like.

In this game you can race against a second human player. Another good feature is that you don't have to be the racer; you could be the police! You have your radar to detect speeding cars and can stop them with spike strips, roadblocks, and many other things.

If you like challenging games, I think this is the game for you. You won't find a better one.

Summary: Sick and Tired of the original cars?
Review: The original cars for this game get boring after awhile. So if you want new cars type in: Need for Speed download cars on the internet. One of those sites may have downloadable cars. The graphics are okay, but a little choppy. It's a good game!

Summary: Need for Speed III
Review: This is a great game for the money. Easy to load, easy to navigate, and very addictive game play. Works excellent on the XP platform which has been an issue with me. Keeps ya going back for more, changing options and starting over again and again. I'd recommend into to anyone into casual game play.
