Summary: Worth Every Cent
Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a fun-filled, exciting, and challenging game that never gets old. There are new scenarios every time you beat an old one, and the enjoyment of seeing your park succeed is something someone of any age can experience. In RCT you can design an unlimited amount of roller coasters and other rides, while adding scenery, staff, and souvenier shops to your park. This game is always getting better! After owning it for quite a time, I have still not "beaten" it. This is something you will definetely not regret buying!

Summary: Rollercoaster Tycoon... Awesome!
Review: I bought this game because I am obsessed with roller coasters. I was shocked when I put this in of how much you can do! I got it the first day out and it's the best roller coaster simulation out their right now (Becides some of the On-line 3D ones) Forget about Sim Theme Park or Sim Coaster, their so... urgh! This game along with the 2 other expancion packs make one great game! I would reccommend this game to anyone! It's so addicting. But now... Just wait for Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, which is going to top the first one!

Summary: Realistic Yet Undeniably Fun!
Review: Ever since I was a little kid, I have always dreamed of building empires- whether it be a street system in an imaginary world of my own or a chain store. Unfortunately, I had nothing to apply this dream to. That is, until I received ROLLER COASTER TYCOON for Christmas in 1999. Even from looking at the front cover of the box without opening it, I knew that I was going to love the game. And I absolutely do- in fact, two and a half years later, I am tempted to play for a couple of hours right now.

Microprose does its job in this game by making this game very accesible (and educational, in case that matters) to kids of all ages. In this game, people are asked to create theme parks in given areas. They only have a certain time to complete certain goals that they have been asked to achieve. And that is where the biggest complaint, if there is one, lies in this game- the time clock that is programmed in this game goes much, much faster than normal time, so the construction of the theme park may not seem all that real. But then again, what am I talking about- that is nitpicking! Kids are not going to spend three years focusing on one certain park!

Players have many options given to them as they play this game. First, they can choose the area where they want to build their park (that is, among the areas they qualify to build in). Once they are at their park, they can set costs on admissions and ride prices; hire park staff; construct rides or stalls with sometimes as little as the click of a mouse; raise or lower land; insert gardens- the list goes on and on. Simply put, this game gives the player an ideal feel of creating an amusement park- it is often challenging, but it is fun at the same time.

It is not surprising that this game has been a huge hit with the people over the past few years. This is a game that is guaranteed to remain relevant and interesting for many more years to come. It is a game that anybody with even the slightest interest in business, theme parks, or building empires should own.

Summary: an excellent sim!
Review: not exactly a shoot'em up, but it is a great sim that test your strategy in ways that doesn't require gunplay. In play, you have to keep an eye on the people, making sure you keep them happy, whether it be making new rides, keeping the old ones in repair, and making sure you have enough bathrooms.

And there's always the unexpected to deal with: vandalism, rides that keep breaking down, or worse, crashing! The basic stragegy is to make a park that will attract a certain number of guests atin a certain time limit. and all the while, watch your finances, and control research that'll bring new rides and attarctions to your park.

At first the pre made roller coasters are okay to put in a park, but with little experience, you'll be making your own offerings in no time. And with all the different types of coasters, you'll be running wild with different designs in no time.

of course this doesn't mean you can have some fun of the bizarre sort: Build a short shuttle loop, whoa belly, and reverse whoa belly and send it on a test run at high speed...CRASH!

Summary: SimCity meets Six Flags
Review: You get to run your own amusement park. Keep the guests happy, offer the newest rides available and keep all rides running safely will keep the guests coming and thus give you the cash to continue expanding.

My first time I played it I played for four hours. Graphics and sound are awesome and very realistic.

After playing RCT, your real life visits to Six Flags will have a new perspective.

If you are a roller coaster nut and love playing SimCity, you'll love RCT.
