Summary: Usability quirks & crashes hamper fun, addictive play
Review: For ideas and overall gameplay, this game is great. It's easy to get started and easy to understand the basics. The sound is not only great, but appropriate to events in the game. Getting feedback on amusement park customers is easy, and the information is useful. The whole economic model is easy to understand and adjust. The visuals are great, and the way that park employees are manipulated is well designed.But, I found some usability quirks that made gameplay frustrating, and random crashes made it so I didn't want to return to play. It's not always clear where and how to run paths to attractions. Worse, if there's just one tree on a square where you want to set an attraction, it won't go down there. (Not like SimCity, which takes trees out automatically when you build). Trying to build a custom roller coaster was a trial, one I never completed. To make changes, you go back an un-build from the end, which can be tedious if you've built quite a bit already. Finally, I started getting random crashes, which would just dump me out of the game. Enough that I stopped playing (even though I was mostly haveing a good time). I love simulation games (I've played all the SimCities, plus Sim Copter, SimTower, Railroad Tycoon, and more), and trying to design and build my own roller coaster was a trip. Better testing and a bit more attention to good design would make this an A+ game.

Summary: Tons of Fun!
Review: Moments out of the box this software-sim was loads of fun. Our family played it for hours and hours day after Christmas. Highly addictive! We found out it was easy to use without any difficulty. Safe for kids! So realistic you manage/operate the theme park at your fingertips. Building from the variety of thrill rides and decorative shops is the fun part. Imagined building your own coasters and you want to try it yourself without waiting in those long lines. If you're rollercoaster fan like us..this CD-rom game is the one for keeps!

Summary: Roller Coaster Tycoon addiction!
Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a great game for computer gamers of all ages. With all of it's corkscrews, flips, loops, and turns, there is nobody that should pass up this game. It will run great on most computers, and has stunning realism. I still havent been able to quit playing, there is always something new to discover.

Review: Since I got this game, I have been playing it non-stop. It is so much fun. The graphics are great, you can see the little poeple drinking their sodas and reading there maps. I definitely recommend this game. I'm getting the expansion pack now.

Summary: One of the Best Games I've Ever Played!
Review: This is an absolutely incredible game! I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first when I got the game as a gift, but after loading the game I found it to be very addictive. I've played both the original SimCity and SimCity 2000. If you even moderately enjoy those games, you will LOVE Roller Coaster Tycoon. The amount of control and information you have over the park and the guests is absolutely amazing. I can't believe how realistic the game is. I thought that I would make the most intense roller coaster when I was playing, but I quickly realized that most customers want fun, not extreme death defying rides. So I had to tone down many of my rollar coasters. This is one of those games that is difficult to describe if you haven't seen it. Overall, though, it's an incredible game and I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The bottom line: If you enjoy SimCity, Roller Coaster tycoon is an absolute MUST buy!

Review: I thought Roller Coaster Tycoon was great. You can build the coolest roller coasters and other types of rides. You can build neat shops such as an Exotic Seafood Stall that sells tentacles. If you like theme parks you will like this game.

Review: The game is wonderful, my grandchildren love it, but when they installed it in my computer,a Compaq 2100 series, it knocked out my audio. I no longer have sound. Has anyone else had this problem? I have worked with technicians over the phone, and so far, no luck with the sound.

Summary: Highly Addictive
Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a fun game. Even when in dire need of funds, and behind in my ratings, I still found myself having a blast playing this game. I would call it the most addictive game I own. My only complaint about it is it is extremely difficult to design your own roller coaster, or place a pre-made one without some sort of problem. (e.g. terrain too high, other attractions in the way, exit and entrance on the wrong side)

Review: It's so realalistic! It's practice to be responsible and to test your skill of carefullness and things like that. It can be difficult when there are many guests, but the best part is at the end, when you complete your assigned task and people let their baloons rise in the air and how they keep constantly applauding for you!
