Summary: THE BEST GAME EVER
Review: I really like this game. I thought it was fun making my own airport.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Don't Bother Spending Your Money
Review: I like many other unfortunate consumers, purchased this game with high hopes. The tutorial in this game takes forever and never shows the complete process to build the airport. Control towers are non-existent and are required to play. I would have returned the game but unfortunately this cannot be done once opened. I'm a big fan of simulation games, and this one belongs in the trash! Could have been a fun game.

Summary: Airport Tycoon
Review: Airport Tycoon is a wonderful game I think. Learning the game takes a while though. It took me a few hours to learn how to play it. The tutorial hardly helps you to figure out the game. It does not even make a full airport. The only way to figure out the game is to use trial and error. But once you learn the game it is very fun and realistic. If you like sim games you will probably like this.

Summary: The worst game I have seen in years.
Review: Being a avid "Build 'em" game fan, I had high hopes when I saw this game. My first warning that I was going to have problmes was that the box had one name, the manual another name, and the screen shots in the manual had yet a third name for this program. The manual lacks any rules required for the operation of the game. The interface is inconvienient at best. I was unable to rotate any pre-made airport terminals, or views around my terminal. If you are unfortunate enough to get property with the road entering on the wrong side, then you have to build roads all the way around the terminal on the pre made ones. In my early games, options that the game said I had to have for the airport to function, such as tarmacks and fire stations and control towers, were unavailable as building options. Given this fact, I was unable to progress very far in the game. One of the companies listed in the back of the manual as tech support disavow any knowledge of this product, and the other source failed to return any e-mails. If it wasn't for the fact that the game was opened, I would have returned it for my money back the first night. What a waste of time and money. It appears to me that the product was packaged up and shipped in hope that some money would still be able to be made off the initial investment.

Summary: Airport Tycoon
Review: I recently purchased this game from EBWorld.com. When I got it, I installed it, and ran the game. Because it requires some kind of video card that i dont have(3dfx or Direct X), I have to run it with emulation. It runs super slow. But i downloaded a trainer for it and money is not a problem anymore. The game is ok, the graphics could be improved a little, and the music, where did they get that from, Africa? Overall, it is an ok game if you are interested in airplanes, airports, and management.

Summary: I Like It A Lot!
Review: I think it is the best ever. It has cool graphics, and there are some down sides. The downsides are that when you're building and run out of money, the game is over. A plus for the program is that you can build an airport. It earns five stars with me. Today was my first time on Airport Tycoon and I liked it a lot. Signed, A 9 year old kid.

Summary: Great idea -- abysmal execution
Review: This could have been a great game. It has all the elements to succeed and is well-conceived. The designer included all sorts of elements from airport design, a financial model, negotiation of contracts and numerous camera views such as walking through the terminal. Unfortunately, the execution is awful. The graphics are 5 years behind (& ugly to boot); the interface is awkward; there is no sound to speak of; there are numerous bugs; the manual is no help; construction of the airport is clumsy; and not much happens once the game runs. Did I say the graphics are only 5 years behind. Compare the passengers walking through the terminal to the Dire Straits video from the early 1980's (I want my MTV).

Summary: Patience is a virtue with this game - but it is fun
Review: This game is actually the "patched" version 1.1 of "Airport, Inc." sold in Europe. Still, it definitely has bugs and the manual leaves a lot to the imagination. Nonetheless, once you figure things out, it becomes a pretty fascinating game and can get quite addictive. I run it on a PIII 450 w/128 megs RAM and the graphics are great. Not sure how it will work on slower machines, though. I would say this game is definitely worth $20, though it's also definitely not the same quality level as the higher-priced simulation games.
