Summary: My Review
Review: This is a great addition to an already great game. For those who dislike many games beacuse of lack of replayablity, this is the game for you. Instead of playing the normal RTS game, you can also choose to play UMS (use map settings) to allow the entire game to be modified. Some examples include a monopoly, and paintball (a 3rd person shooter). In addition to this game, I would suggest WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos, and its recently released expansion, WarCraft III Expansion: The Frozen Throne.

Summary: Starcraft = Addicting
Review: If you have ever played the regular game of Starcraft, you probably have enjoyed it. If you did enjoy it, you will enjoy it even more as there are new landscapes, objects, and units.

Protoss - Level 1 - The protoss race contains a dark templar which will allow you to mind control other players units. Mind control is simply this: once you click the mind control button and then another players unit, you will control their unit. The dark templar is very useful as you can build all three races (if you mind control another player's drone or SCV and build a hatchery or Command Center). This race also includes an anti-air air craft which is not as significant, but it can put some kind of shield around anti-air ground units (such as the creep colony thing and the turret).

Terran - Level 2 - Terran also includes an anti-air air craft which is not very significant (I think it can do the same thing as the protoss one can). The significant unit that has been added is the medic. The medic can heal your units and other units (must not be mechanic e.g. goliath), very useful.

Zerg - Level 3 - The Zerg race contains a new unit called the lurker. The lurker works like a sunken colony, yet, the enemy units cannot see the lurker (as it can only be burrowed in order to hurt other units) thus making it very effective. The lurkers can only be seen with a detector of some sort.

The above reviewed are only the things I have noticed, there are probably much more. Also the landscapes include landscapes such as snow, etc.

Now, those of you who have never played starcraft before may be thinking that this review is not helpful at all. Well I am now getting to you...
Starcraft is a game basically for teens (as it is rated). The reason? The Terran race (at least in Starcraft original) swears in the movies. I'm not sure if you want your kids to experience this. They are the only race that swears and their are very few movies, that can be skipped if you click your mouse button. This game is very complicated and I suggest you buy the original game and play it first (you need the original game in order to play the expansion anyways) as it contains the tutorials. Once you are familiar with all the races, then go ahead and get the expansion (or install it if you get the battle chest) and play it. Also, after you are familiar it is not complicated at all. The expansion is much more fun, and addictive.

This game also allows you to play online for free (must have internet access) with other players. Online is also very fun as people create maps that are not missions (use map settings games) and are just to have fun with.

I hope this review was helpful to you.

Summary: Brood Wars A Warclan Gamer on battle.net
Review: Now one of the best real- time strategy games I have ever played is the Starcraft series of games. Most games by blizzard will blow you away but not like this game. Brood Wars has a different environment of war. A future fighting of war and not a boring first person shooter or something like that. Brood Wars gives the gamer a thirst to play for endless hours over the internet, or just on single player. Some pros of this game that there is a whole new storyline and there are over 5 new units to control at your disposal. The cons consist of the unit movement and how it is still a little hard to get one unit from one place to another. The movement still requires a little bit of training wheels. But overall the Brood Wars expansion pack revolutionizes the computer gaming world and will for years to come.

Summary: More money
Review: If you bought Starcraft, then you might as well buy this. It adds more balance in some ways, but takes some balance in others. Why do the Protoss get the ability to mind control? With a 200 unit cap, it means that a protoss player on a resource rich map can have 600 units, given that all three sides are played. Then can mind control a peasant and then build another sides buildings and units. As if the Protoss weren't already a bit more powerful than the rest.
Still, it does add 15% more units. so instead of 12 different units, you can build 14 units. Also, each side has a way of efficiently eliminating large amounts of aircraft.

Summary: Best strategy game I played so far
Review: This is with no doubt the best strategy game I played so far. Since 1999 I started playing starcraft instead of chess. Look like a realtime chess player, the game in unbelivably balanced, robust. The units, their properties, capabilities and their usage of resources are so balanced that you can not find a way around to cheat with the computer or win so easly. I have tried most of the strategy games, however this one has the best Artificial Inteligence I have seen so far. Games created after Starcraft can not be compared to Starcrafts clever and smart AI. To ask "Am I still playing?", simply "Yes" and so are my friends. I strongly recommend Starcraft, it is even better than other Blizzard Strategy games so far. Enjoy!

Summary: THE STORY MUST CONTINUE
Review: I've owned the game ever since the beginning. I remember when I would play from like 10pm to 6am STRAIGHT. This game, compared to all the other RTS I've played, is the best. At the end of Brood War, the ending cinematic leaves you hanging, and makes you want more. I hope Blizzard would soon MAKE A STARCRAFT 2...HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS PLAY THE GAME, AND MUST SURELY FEEL THE SAME!
The onl con is that the Brood War has only 2 cinematics, and the cinematics just help to add to the story. All who read this review, and wish for a StarCraft2...lets tell blizzard...we all want an SC2. Review made by the almighty Ravenhildr.

Review: This is my favorite game of all-time(including #1). If i were to chose one game in the whole world it would be this one. I have never experienced a game as great in my whole life. Best blizzard entertainment ever! I do hope they make a starcraft 2 though cause its getting kind of old, and the reason ive have never gotton board of it is because u can create your on games and play others on the internet!
