It took me the time to think about the Terran but i remebered and it was 3 times to bear the Terran. About the zerg it was about ummmmmm..... about 2 times to beat the zerg.If your buying this for a child or yourself you can beat it because it is tooooo easy. If Ican beat it I know you can so please buy this game for somebody or yourself cause you can loose randomely...... To help you all on this game. When ever you have it or buy it. The best thing of stradegy is to build..build..build units and tecknolagy. So the best thing to do is to build Dark Templar on ground units if there is no detector around. If their is a air get a Arbiter with some scouts at least 2 carriers and with all of its (intersepters). When you have a full force (AMBUSH) your opponent. Then keep making forces when you have like 36 people you are ready for attack. So if you buy this game or already have it do this and you will be unstoppable. Then please MADE BY DILLON MICHAEL TULLOS SO ENJOY THIS GAME BYE BYE EVERYBODY THIS TIPS ARE THE TIPS I USED TO BEAT THIS IT APPEARS THAT ALL OF YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE SO DO THIS AND ENJOY PEOPLE OF THE WORLD \^

Summary: Worthy of the gold!
Review: This game is great. I have a new computer and I still am able to go back to Broodwar/Starcraft even though it may seem outdated. It just shows that a game is built off of more than graphics and more on replay value and gameplay.

Summary: More than an expansion pack
Review: Starcraft was the first strategy game that I played all the way through without cheating. There are two reasons for this: the difficulty increases from mission to mission at a perfect pace, and the story doesn't just occur between the missions.
And the story is what I really loved this game for, but at the end of Starcraft, nothing was resolved, we'd just entered the thick of the plot.
Which is why Brood War is so fantastic. Most expansion packs have either no story, or some lateral story that has little to do with the overall plot. Brood War is more like a sequel than an expansion.
The main character of Brood War is definately Kerrigan, the zerg secret weapon from Starcraft has now gained control of most of the zerg hordes. The story is fundamentally the machinations of Kerrigan.
On the Terran side, the forces from Earth have finally tracked down the colonists they sent off so many years ago, and have decided to take charge. However, they too, get caught up in Kerrigans quest for power.
The only flaw in the game was the somewhat contrived Protoss plot. While some elements of Kerrigan cementing her rule come into the Protoss story, most of it has to do with tracking down and capturing two 'magical' gems that have not featured in the story at all before now.
The climax of the game is much better than the climax to the original Starcraft. Where Starcraft ended on a 'to be continued' note, this game provides closure, but also says 'definately to be continued'.

What makes this game truly great is that the level design remains right up to standard. The difficulty curve also continues exactly from where it left off, so that by the time you reach the monstrously hard final level, you're ready for it.
So, if you don't own a copy of Brood War yet, get it as soon as possible. If you don't even own a copy of Starcraft yet, go straight to the battle chest, and kill two birds with one stone.

Summary: THIS GAME RULES
Review: This is one of the best expansions ever! This game test your abilities to the max. It is more difficult that the first, but it gives you an edge on battle.net! It has more upgrades too. And it also has more cool units! It is the best expansion ever!

Summary: THIS GAME IS GREAT!!!
Review: Brood War is a great game. There is nothing more I can say. You have 7 new units you could not build in the original Starcraft including the Dark Archon, Dark Templar, Corsair, Medic, Valkyrie, Lurker, and Devourer. 26 all-new missions come with this game including the ability to explore new worlds like Korhal and Shakuras. There is even a new platform for campigns: Twilight. Starcraft was good, Brood War is better there is nothing else to say, it is a great buy and you'll be playing it for a long time. If you like Starcraft, you will love Brood War. This is an excellent game. Buy it.

Summary: I dont care to much for the expansion
Review: First of all StarCraft was a great game in my opinion untill the expansion came out. I play protoss and consider myself quite good but the expansion gives the Protoss and Terran some crappy units compared to the Zergs Lurkers! The zerg can get lurkers early in the game. So if your Terran or Protoss and your coming into rush them, you cant possibly win because the lurkers cant be detected unless you have a observer or something that can see burrowed or cloaked units. If your a Zerg player than Im sure you would love the expansion but if your a protoss player, than most of you probably wont care to much for it. Or at least wont be to exited.

Summary: A small improvement over Starcraft
Review: Brood War is a small improvement over Starcraft; it has only 8 new units and a few new upgrades. The medics and valkyries are almost useless. The corsairs have little use. The dark templar are good units, but since they appear as heroes in Starcraft, they aren't much of an addition. The dark archons are awesome units, with an unbelievable amount of armor and awesome abilities such as mind control. The Zerg devourer is the largest and most powerful Zerg air unit in the game. The lurker is the only unit that can attack while burrowed. Despite all this; I only reccomend Brood War for diehard Starcraft fans, since it adds little to the game.

Summary: STARCRAFT IS 2ND TO NONE.
Review: STARCRAFT IS THE BEST GAME YOU CAN BUY! WITH THREE DIFFERENT RACES (TERRAN, ZERG, AND MY FAVORITE PROTOSS), IT'S A GAMING EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEVER FORGET. PLUS, WITH THE CAMPAIGN EDITOR YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN MAP. THEY CAN BE AS GOOD AS THE REAL ONES IF YOU'RE GOOD WITH MAP TRIGGERS. STARCRAFT IS NUMBER ONE, AND NO ONE CAN HAVE A DECENT ARGUMENT AGAINST THAT.

Summary: Can't do without this one!
Review: Do you own Starcraft and want to know if you should get theexpansion pack? You should. Stop reading and buy it right now.

For the money, this add-on is as good as they get. Brood Wars takes off where Starcraft ended, and adds a bunch of new units. The Zerg now have lurkers, huge creatures that burrow under the earth and launch their spines up through the ground. Twelve of these guys can tear apart any base in short order. Terrans gain medics, among other things, who heal your marines as they fight. Great for using stim packs. The Protoss add Corsairs, among other units, that can neutralize turrets to get into a terran base.

If you own Starcraft, you must own Brood Wars. It's the perfect add-on to the perfect game.

Summary: One of the best strategy games gets better.
Review: Soon after purchasing StarCraft, I knew I'd need the Brood War expansion set. Well, it definitely followed through on what I expected -- more and better missions, the story line continued and expanded upon, and the races improved through new classes / characters / creatures. (The Dark Archon [of the Protoss] can be downright scary.) If you enjoyed StarCraft like I did, and you haven't purchased this yet, there's no reason you shouldn't -- it only makes the gaming experience all the better.
