Summary: Getting Hard To Find
Review: For those of you criticizing the prices here on Amazon for this amazing collection i find it kind of funny. Most of you (myself included) have no problem plopping down 50 bucks for a new game but when it comes to the greatest collection of games EVER released including the first 7 Kings quest games, and a remake of the first 1 - with better graphics only available in this collection as well as a host of other classic adventure games and other bonuses to numerous to list 100 bucks or so starts to sound like a bargain - and believe me you probably wont save any money on ebay on this one - hard to find is a gross understatement. (Supply and demand)

I have my copy and i love it.

Summary: Awesome! The best logic/fantasy games ever!
Review: I am a huge fan of the King's Quest series, and have played every game on the collection at least twice(KQ 3, 6, & 7, I have played more than 5 times each!). Although the graphics aren't the best compared with today's tech, the story lines completly make up for it! And along with the amazing puzzles, riddles, and quests you have to solve, a lot of humor is thrown in to add a little color to the game. Definitely family-friendly. My dad and I used to play when I was younger. I would recommend this game to anyone!

Summary: The Colonel's Bequest
Review: I bought this collection for one reason only and that was it contained the fabulous murder mystery Colonel's Bequest - a true lost treasure.

Laura Bow accompanies her friend Lillian to her grandfather's estate in a Southern bayou for a weekend where all her relatives discuss her grandfather's will. Of course the first night is riddled with murder and your job is to find out who is killing the guests.

The game has no "point" system in it which makes it hard to play and to complete the notebook at the end. But this will keep you playing. You won't believe one bayou has so many secrets. Play this game at night for maximum effect like I did. I also believe the early VGA graphics add to the errie atmosphere. A must play for a cold lonely night!

Summary: Kings Quest Is never ending...
Review: I first played Kings Quest at a friends house and I became so hooked on it that every time I went there, she would have turned on the computer and King's Quest Seven would be starting up. It was my absolute favorite! I don't see why some people don't like it. Five and six are great! I like 1-4 also, but usually when I play them on my machine, they don't really work. It's actually kinda scary. Like in seven, when she goes into OOga Booga land and there's the woman with no face ... But my favorite place in seven has to be Etheria! It is just toooo coool! And I love the duke's palace with the upside down stair ways!

Summary: Was probably good in it's time.
Review: I have enjoyed the Kings Quest series very much, but I didn't get started until Kings 5. I got this set, but the gameplay and graphics, though a head of their time in their day, was real tough to play in this current day and age. While these all have great stories, graphically and challenging wise, Kings Quest 6 & 7 are the only 2 that are really playable now. Kings 7 is graphically very good and the story and gameplay is pretty cool. The only thing missing from this set is The Mask Of Eternity which is actually Kings Quest 8. Graphically, it's a stellar upgrade over these and the gameplay is faster paced with alot less puzzles to solve. Roberta Williams was definitley ahead of her time and I hope she continues to create these Kings Quest games(go to gamespot.com and look for an article on Roberta Williams. It was an excellent story).

Summary: A Wonderful Collection
Review: I have never played a single adventure game that was as funny, intelligent, well-written or enjoyable as this collection of delightful adventure games. I love each and every one; they provide hours of entertainment. From dazzling graphics to superb stories, you will never forget King's Quest.

Summary: Won't work on XP
Review: I have tried installing this game on Windows XP after I was told by the seller of this product that it would be compatible. On the first attempt, the install screen did show up and went through the tests, but then said it could not read a file in the program. Now when I try to install the game, it won't even display the install screen. This is a huge dissapointment because the games are such huge classics.
