Rating: Summary: questions repeat itself too quick Review: I was anxious to get the game as I really like the TV show, but I have to say that the questions really repeat themselves after a short time. I otherwise like it, the theme music,Regis, but this I consider a minus.
Rating: Summary: It brings the hot seat to you! Review: The Who Wants To Be A Millioniare CD-ROM game is a very fun game. The graphics are great and there are many questions. It is really fun to try to achieve the goal: winning $1,000,000. If you do win, you can start again and get a whole set of new questions. This is a great game for the whole family. This should be on everyone's Christmas list.
Rating: Summary: disappointed Review: I was really excited about getting Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. The graphics are well done, and the game is much like the television version. Yet, after just a couple of hours, we began to get a repeat of questions. After just two days of owning this product, I'm lucky to get any new questions. Needless to say, I'm a Millionaire!
Rating: Summary: Fun, but could be more... Review: "Who Want's To Be a Millionaire" is a fun game. It has most of the major features of the show. As you would expect the lifelines, 15 questions etc.. There are a few things that you'll probably want to know though. I thought that it was rather annoying that there is a time limit for answering each question. (30 sec). Also, if you're used to easy questions at the beginning the game's questions at the beginning are a little harder than what you see on the show. Next, questions at the beginning tend to repeat themselves after a while. (I just played for one day, and already started getting repeats, mostly at under $1000) The set of question's after the $1000 mark are almost always new. I think the game mixes up the questions so you don't have the same set of questions twice, but you do get annoyed when you see a $1000 dollar question you've seen before as a $100 question. The game also lacks a feature of the show or at least could have done it better. The fastest finger part of the game is designed for a lot of people. The order of the answers switches on the screen and you push a letter and whoever get's it first wins. For example if I push "A" and get if before the other people I win. Ideally I think they could have had this feature where the other players are the computer. You see the question and answers on the screen and put them in order by pushing the corresponding keys. Eg. A,C,E,D. In closing, I think the game is fun and definitely not bad for $20. If they make a new version they should have more questions, try to make questions not repeat as much, and make a better fastest finger where you play against the computer. Also make no time limit or at least a longer one. They could have made this game better. They probably put it out in a hurry. The game is still fun and worth a try. Hopefully they will make a new version with some of the features that are missing in this one.
Rating: Summary: This is really fun! Review: Playing this game is probably just like being on the real show. I like seeing how many questions I can answer.

Rating: Summary: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? . . . I Do, I Do! Review: "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" is equal parts fun and frustrating. It's fun because you get to test your knowledge and see just how smart you are. It's great for getting your heart beating. But it's also frustrating because it makes you feel like such an idiot at times. "If only I would have used one of my lifelines instead of guessing on the $64,000 question. What was I thinking?!" I have expressed my frustrations more than once while playing this game. But that's good. It just makes me want to beat it even more! The game plays just like the TV show. For single players, you're thrown into the hot-seat immediately. But for multiple players, you have to play the Fastest-Finger Game, something that I seem to get beat at a lot. For this review, we'll just say I won the Fastest-Finger Round. Hey, I feel like a millionaire already! Just like the TV show, you pit your skills against what the computer has to offer. A negative thing about this is that you don't get all the time in the world to guess the answer like people do on TV; you only get 30 seconds, which can be irritating sometimes. Let's say you decide to use one of your lifelines. The trick here is that using a lifeline doesn't always assure you of the right answer! It's not a trick by the designers; all the questions you are asked by the computer were asked of hundreds of people before the game was brought out. The actual figures you're given, for example, when you use the "ask the audience" lifeline are real figures. So it is possible for 90% of the audience to go with an answer and still be wrong. Only until you've played the game do you realize how FRUSTRATING that can be. Regis Philbin commentates throughout this game like he does on the TV show, and here he is both funny and a pest. Depending on your mood, you'll find his wisecracks after you've crashed and burned for the 100th time either acceptable or annoying. About the only actual negative thing about this game is that once you have played it enough times, it gets WAY to easy. There are only around 200 questions total, and so they just keep getting recycled. After having played for a short while, the first five or so questions are a snap. They shouldn't be, however. Games like this should be a challenge. But there is still enough fun in it for a person to enjoy. The questions do get harder as you go along, and your heartrate and pulse do start to rise as you inch your way closer and closer to the million. Of course, it's only a game, you keep telling yourself. But still - a million dollars, real or otherwise, is still a million dollars! Despite its few shortcomings, this game is a lot of fun to play. Personally, I think this game should have come with a lot more questions instead of forcing the buyer to buy the 2nd, 3rd, Sports, Kids, and whatever other versions of the game that are out on the market. Regardless, there is still enough challenge and charm in this game to play it multiple times. And finally winning the million does bring a great deal of satisfaction. Even if all you get is an imaginary check.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining for a short period of time Review: I think that the review at the top of this game has it right -- not enough questions. Also, the $100 through $1000 questions are too hard (compared to the TV show). Another annoying feature is the inability to skip past stuff that you have seen a million times, that is redundant to you. I bought this game out of boredom, and I think that I paid about $... for it. If you like the TV show, then don't pay any more than that. But, if you see it on the rack real cheap, then hey, pick it up.
