Summary: Star Wars at it's finest
Review: I'm pretty sure you that most people have either seen or played Age of Empires Conquerers. Now Imagione taking that awesome engine and giving it a major overhaul and then adding Star Wars into the mix. Imagine no longer. This game has all sorts of Awesome features. Space, Air units, TONS of heros from the movies and even some from the SW Expanded Univese. You may think that this game will look just like AoK well you have to remember that AoK had ONLY 4 civilization Art sets for 13-16 civs and they all looked VERY similar. SWGB will have 6 totally different Civilization Arts and over 300 different units!!

Next time don't try to put out false information.

Summary: AWESOME GAME
Review: Unlike the above reviewer I have thoroughly reviewed everything I can find about GB. It in fact DOES NOT require a "special" video card. It is in fact designed to run on relatively low end computers. Garry Gaber (Developer) has stated that the development team wants the game to be very accessible. The game borrows the game engine from Age of Kings, which was a big success. You can see the multitude of screenshots at www.lucasarts.com/products/battlegrounds. As you can tell the above reviewer obviously had NO idea what he was talking about. Please ignore him. I give the game a 5 star rating. It is going to be excellant! Thank you for your time. : )

Summary: Highly anticipated game!
Review: I cannot understand the previous bad comments about this game, simply because it is not out yet!!

Be the judge after it is out, and brush up on your spelling big fella. Perhaps next time, before you bag a game based on its system requirements, you get a pc with some basic requirements like a spell checker!

Good luck, your gonna need it! :0

Review: Alberto how can you review a game that doesn't come out till November? I only gave it 5 stars to negate your 1. Play the game first!

Summary: Another bummer from LucasArts...
Review: This is the type of game you shouldn't buy because is a "lemon" to run on your PC just like Force Commander, I'm a Star Wars fan and I'm very dissapointed with all the "strategy" games from the Star Wars saga: Rebellion, Force Commander and now this...
Take my word and don't waste time on this piece of junk...the problem is not the game itself, is the video/sound card compatibility this games requires, just like Force Commander you will need a "special video card" that will run smoothly with this game.
Isn't Lucas already rich that he needs to get money with games soo poorly designed??? May the Force save our pockets!!!

Summary: Great game, but lacks a certain something
Review: Let me preface my review by stating that I am an enthusiastic Star Wars fan, and bought this game because of it. The gameplay is fun and interesting and the SW locals are great; however, when compared to AOE II (the game from which this is derived), there is a slight lack of cohesion and balance. It is harder to find unit combos that work seamlessly together, and there are too many top-heavy units (AT-AT and the rebellion tank, for example) which don't cost enough to make (it is VERY easy to build 15-20 AT-AT's and steamroller across a map). The flying units are a mere annoyance, lacking any real power when faced with anti-aircraft, and a sheild generators and towers make uber-strong defensive combos that take eons to remove, especially in the face of defensive siege weapon emplacements.

To summarize: This is a good game, but if you are playing someone who has a similar skill level, prepare to be playing a LONG time.
